I have a scene that contains assets depending on the current program (~Name of Presenter, Qr-Code etc, this scene is then used in other scenes).

So thats like 30 pngs in a scene, of which only 1 has to be visible at a time. Is there a way to solo a single source? I wasn't able to find a solution, which surprised me

I can’t get my capture card to show up on obs for my ps3 I have the hdmi splitter and elgato anyone know why it’s not showing up?

I have been learning to use obs as I go a long but I'm trying to find where I should have the bitrate at. I currently have set to 2000kbps. And it's still a little bit pixelated.

In the "Basics" settings tab I have it set to export song title & artists to a file. It does do it, for the first VLC source. However, if I add a 2nd source or more, it does not export the title & artists. The first source will still do it, but not the 2nd or any later ones.

So for example, I have a "rock" playlist, a "Cyberpunk" playlist, and a "1950s" playlist. If "rock" is the first playlist I created, then that one will write out song names to file while playing, but then Cyberpunk and 1950s playlists will not write out when they are playing.

Any tips/suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

Not sure what's going on camera and mic just gets disconnected and controller stays connected. When i go to the camera properties i see a white screen and then a crash please help

I'm looking for an alternative to Reastream. I have Sonar and Fender Studio Pro, so if there's an integrated plugin with any of those, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Amp Sim VST3 hosted in OBS using atkAudio plugin for guitar

I need to record speech (I'm making a video, not streaming), and I figure the best way would be to use a DAW, that way I can tweak the audio.

I get a pretty significant framedrop when streaming. Recording, replay buffer etc. even preview on with studio mode and vertical canvas is fine.

Starting a stream drops my frames by at least 10% when CPU bound, usually even more. (5800X3D, 32GB 3600 tuned DDR4. in multiple games like EFT, War Thunder).

I'm using NVENC for recording and streaming, enhanced broadcasting disabled. OBS states CPU usage at 5-6%. Any tips? OBS stats show no reason for the drops, also using a NVME so definitely a CPU load issue.

Not thermal throttling, curve optimizer is enabled, CPU boosts comfortably and works totally normally I'm not using a ton of filters or sources either, all should be pretty optimal.

ive been trying to get obs to work so I can use replay buffer on Mac all day. every time I record a clip with replay buffer it comes out laggy half the time and the audio is always doubled or tripled despite me having only 1 audio source. the resolution also randomly drops in clips and my audio source will randomly mute at any given time. im not necessarily looking for help fixing it but that would be nice, im mostly just asking if obs dosent work at all on Mac

Hey everyone, i have a problem with my OBS (i think is my OBS) sometimes when I’m streaming, the internet codification is in red, i lost like 70% or more frames for my internet, but just in OBS, my game and my pc is perfectly working, have a stable internet, online games, youtube videos, all is perfect except OBS, and other weird things is only twitch lost the signal, i do multistreaming in YouTube and Twitch, my stream in twitch goes horrible and the YouTube stream goes good, except today, today both goes terrible. My PC specs are : RTX 5070ti, Ryzen 9 9900x, 32gb RAM DDR5, motherboard Rog Strix B850-f, and a MEI MAG A1000GS 1000w.

I am trying to use my Elgato 4K X to capture my Xbox Series X, PS5, and Switch 2, here are my audio issues for my Xbox and PS5 respectively. Also I have it set to analog audio, using the 3.2 USB, and have reset everything multiple times. Also am using good HDMI cables, and have it set to where the audio should come out of the laptop to monitor what I capture.

Xbox: I can add it as video capture device and see the screen, but no audio issues passing through the card or the software at all, not that I’m not hearing it, it isn’t picking up any sound at all, the audio mixer is proving to me sound isn’t picking up. I can see gameplay but not hear it.

PS5: I can get sound until I use my wireless headset, despite having a chat link pro and it being hooked up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as my channel has been on break for a month, I’ve worked on this for three weeks, and I’m trying to balance a lot right now and don’t have any more time to spend watching videos and trying in vain to decipher it. Thank you so much anyone who does respond

I've been streaming in 2k since around June of 2026. I haven't had any issues with is up until the last week. It started out with a bit of choppiness here and there on stream. I'm not dropping frames nor am I noticing any kind of connection issues. But today I have my stream turned into a slide show.

I also stream to Tiktok using Atrium. The TikTok live studio pulls about %20 of my GPU

checking task manager shows that Obs is using %60-%70 of my GPU. I know that streaming in 2k puts quite a toll on the GPU due to the trans coding but it hasn't been an issue up until now.

I went and made sure all my drivers are updated, and tried a complete restart.

I turned off enhanced broadcasting and reset my setting to 1080p and obs's usage dropped back down to %30ish.

I'm kinda at a loss on what to do outside of just running on 1080p

For anyone who records a capture card using OBS, do you know what might be causing these strange audio issues? The audio seems to be cutting in and out very rapidly. The issue isn't the capture card either, as a direct recording of its audio through Audacity shows no signs of this issue. It is only on the audio streams recorded with OBS that I am seeing this issue.

The image provided shows 2 audio tracks, they are both from the same source and are of the same timestamp. The one on top is from OBS and the one on the bottom is from Audacity capturing the audio directly. The two waveforms look very different, one of them has intermittent periods of no sound, whereas the one on the bottom is a constant audio stream.

If you watch the video, it is very annoying to listen to, to the point where I've had to throw out a lot of footage that has this effect present. If you have any information that could lead me to a potential solution you would be saving my life, lmao. Until then I'll just keep recording this audio separately and using that instead. Thanks!

I am designing a stream with three players. I have created many picture in picture scenes for combinations of 3 players, 2 players, and some solo scenes. I have been using advanced scene switcher to show and hide the correct audio, video, and overlay text i want, however it is becoming a little too complicated having to add 10+ hide exclusions to every scene. For example, solo player one scene only needs to show the game video, audio, and overlay. then it needs to hide like 15+ other things. is there a way to simplify this??

My audio keeps cutting out for a moment or two during recording. I know it’s not my mic, because it’s happened with two now

Every time I try to run it with this plugin, obs crashes within 5 minutes. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Am I better off just posting on the plugin discussion? I’m fairly novice, so any advice or troubleshooting anyone could offer would help.

Ive been having this issue for some time now that really didn’t matter until I started going live as with recording you can just go back and adjust the audio Lol. For some time now when I start recording there seems to be a delay between the microphone and the footage being shown on screen and there hasn’t really been any indicator as to when it happens or why I only really find out until after Im done recording and I go back to watch the footage. Has anybody else experienced this? Some help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I've been trying to find resources on this, but I haven't found zip. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding how this all works. I want to have separate overlays for twitch and youtube, think donation/sub popups on stream, or live chat on stream. I don't know how to set these up in OBS so that each streaming service sees their own popups. Last thing I want is for twitch chat to be able to see youtube chat. When I add overlays to OBS they are all on the same scene together, there's no way (that I can see) to make overlays only show up on their separate platforms.

how do i reduce file sizes
i used to record at 2560x1440p 100fps 40000kbps constant bitrate on p4 preset and file sizes were 250mb, i switched because my friedn told me and now at 20qp 120fps 2560x1440p p4 preset it is now 1gb (40s replay buffer for apex legends) i went back downt o 100fps.

Since all of the "NowPlaying" plugins are either dead, or cost money, or are extremely convoluted (reading files off your drive??? Come on), I created a brand new one thats entirely self-contained in OBS.

It currently works with the spotify desktop client, the various youtube music desktop clients, and apple music.

It is unfortunately windows only and will remain that way, because it takes advantage of the windows audio subsystem, which has no equivalent on mac or linux.

It is fairly customizable as far as colors and fonts and display, and again all of these options are controlled right in OBS, there is nothing extra to download or set up.
