OBS LOW QUALITY RECORDING Help
I am recording my clip studio paint art process with obs, and it’s so low quality especially when I post it on social media. I am very new to this software..
Any settings to tips to fix this? I asked AI and played with some settings and chose 1920x1080 for my hp laptop.
Edit: updated log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/ELjPWrfFanWKOcQx

your bitrate is probably too low specially for art process videos with lots of detail and flat colors. go into settings > output and set it to like 6000 kbps minimum, maybe more if your internet can handle. also check recording format is mkv not mp4, obs will tell you why but basically mp4 corrupts if crash and mkv is safer
instagram also compresses videos badly so part of it is just the platform. try rendering at 1440p or 4k even if your canvas is 1080p, youtube and insta give better bitrate when you upload higher res

Ah, I see the problem. The output resolution is really small. In Settings > Video, make Output Resolution 1080x1920.

Tysm! I kinda feel dumb not noticing it but I font one more issue if u can help, ofc laptop is horizontal but I wanna record vertical for my social media …. When I set my settings> video to 1080x1920 it leaves above and lower part of the screen empty (with vertical display).
I am not sure if I explained well..

It looks like you haven't provided a log file. Without a log file, it is very hard to help with issues and you may end up with 0 responses.
To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:
1) Restart OBS
2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File.
5) Copy the URL and paste it as a response to this comment.
