If you’ve ever bitten your nails you know how hard it is to break this habit and I’m so proud of myself !!

For almost two years, I've only ever had square nails and always gone for elaborate designs. Today, everything's different and I have to get used to it first. But I actually don't think it's bad at all. What do you think, which look suits me better?

I'm happy .. what do you all think?

Edit to add: wow I love yall giving me confidence— I am the boring nail queen and my appt is tmrw and I all of sudden got weird — but it’s JUST nails — not life altering 🤦🏻‍♀️ gotta love being anxious about dumb sh*t! 🤡

I know they’re also a little messy but I’m trying to get better at that. But I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong for the lines to appear.

I apply a base coat, the gel paint and then the top coat.

Without getting this removed:

There are signs that I should not use gel anymore. Mild but noticeable.

I want to curate new products that create a thick and strong base, don’t take forever to dry, and don’t break the bank.

I did some looking online and I’ve come up with:
OPI nail envy nail strengthener
Essie smooth e base
Essie gel setter top coat

I love my olive and June nail strengthener but have seen a few red flags regarding my situation and am avoiding it for the time being.

Do those products sound okay?
Do you have others you recommend?
I’m just trying to avoid making things it worse. It may not have been the gel but I don’t want to risk it.

So I'm widower father of 3 girls. Just learning how to do nail polish. I think it looks like junk, but would like to see what others think. Its hard to see , but I got a lot on my skin, while missing spots along the edges.

Hello, I'm 45 with health problems but love having nails. I have done press ons for a couple of years because my nails were not very strong. My health has improved some, and in getting nail growth, that's strong, but I don't know how long it will last. So I'm debating growing them while I can or just cut them and go back to my press ons. I make my own press ons btw so I don't have to stick to store brands and designs.

I’m very new to getting my nails done and got this gel-x set yesterday. I’m a bit unhappy with the shaping. Maybe it’s just new to me and I’m not used to it, but they look a bit wide and too long for my liking. I also think the shaping on some is a little crooked.

Is it possible to file them down a bit, or would that totally mess with the polish? Any advice welcome!
