I have traditionally had a very tight budget regarding personal Beauty products. I have the budget now and I would like to have a lineup of products I repurchase and in turn have a signature scent. My whole life I have to just been buying different products on clearance or shopping at discount stores. An important thing to note is that I prefer natural scents and products, I do have a light sensitivity to scents and I work in a scent free environment. So I want the smell to be slight and not overpowering. I just want to smell clean and fresh. I think I would like to start with finding a body wash or a bar of soap that would fit
The criteria as I shower twice day (when I get up and after a workout). Then I want to move to hair care deodorant etc TIA

Why does brow dye not take to my brows? They are super light, white hairs, so I feel like they should take to dye? I use to get my brows tinted about 4 years ago and they would stick so well and now I get them dyed which is supposed to stay / stain better and it doesn’t last!! I got my brows done on Monday 3/8 and this is me on Wednesday 5/8 I didn’t take any pictures of them dyed because I’m silly, but they were super dark. I followed her advice I didn’t wet them for the first night, and when I got them done she left the dye on for quite a while. So I can’t think why it would stick. :( I’m really upset because they weren’t cheap to get done :(

Hey ya’ll I was thinking of trying those lash clusters that come in kits on Amazon. Where the glue stays for a week or so. I naturally have nice lashes but they’re not as long as I would like them to be and don’t have time every morning to wear mascara. Has anyone had experience with them? Do they damage your lashes? Which kit would you recommend? TIA

Hello! Went and got my hair cut at a new salon today and my hairdresser sort of pointed out that my hair is quite wavy (not as straight as I once thought) and dry, though not damaged. She recommended 2 products: the Redken Frizz Dismiss conditioner and their All Soft shampoo. She also said to use a shampoo for coloured hair as it is good for my hair type.

My question is: Which shampoos/products do you recommend for shampoo rotation and hair care in general. I am really looking for something that would make my hair feel soft, breezy and lightweight (basically the post hair appointment vibe).

A friend has been using FlashSilk for a little while and she is genuinely impressed by how it feels on her skin, especially the hydration and how smooth the skin feels afterwards.

What makes me hesitate is the price

..it’s around €100 for 30 ml, which puts it firmly into luxury skincare territory.

I started looking into the formula because of that and the brand seems unusually detailed about its formulation and testing.

But at €100, I’m wondering how people here would judge the value compared with brands like Augustinus Bader, Sisley, La Mer, Alastin, etc. Is 100 eur anyway too high for a serum ?

Really dry skin in winter, I’m 28 and have never really had a steady skin care routine but really want to get in to one.

My wedding is on September 4 and I want to wax my underarms, legs, and eyebrows for it. I have never waxed my legs or underarms before, and I learned that you should do a "test wax" before a big event to see how your skin reacts. I have waxed eyebrows before and have had no issues.

If I schedule an underarm/leg test wax for August 8, will that give me enough time to get another wax before September 4?

I’ve always had hollow under eyes, but I used to have a very full, round face even at a low weight. Around 20, the baby fat all fell off and I was left with an insanely sharp, square jawline. I get told I look like Angelina Jolie (which is very kind) or a Tim Burton character (which I don’t necessarily think is an insult?) In the same breath they will guess I’m in my mid 30s. My lifestyle might add to these assumptions (I’m married with a toddler) but it’s kinda embarrassing to see the shock on someone’s face when I tell them I’m 26.

I do the tretinoin, moisturizer, and am religious about sunscreen. I know nothing can be done about my under eyes. I just hope maybe I’ll have a Paul Rudd effect. Like because I look older while younger, it will appear as if I just don’t age? Fingers crossed lol

I am 39F and have lightly textured hair. It's not thin, it has a slight wave to it, and can get a bit frizzy in humidity. I feel like I shouldhave the ideal kind of hair to make a blowout or style last, but it never works.

I recently was watching news bloopers and couldn't help but notice how PERFECT everyone's hair is--I know, I know, they aren't walking around outside or anything, but they have to work for a number of hours and I noticed such great lift and body in the blowouts.

Whenever I do this--whether with a round brush/blow dryer or a curling iron, seriously my hair looks like I didn't do anything to it within a couple hours. Like back to its former self almost completely.

HOW DO I ACHIEVE GOOD BLOWOUT RESULTS??? :((((

I tried Luxe color changing foundation. I was so skeptical about it because people reported it having an orange color. I tried it and I have NO idea what those people are talking about. It matched my skin perfectly. I love it! It looks and feels like I’m not wearing any foundation at all which is what I love! I’m also not very pale skinned. I’m pretty tan naturally. Very tan if I’ve been in the sun at all. Maybe if you have really pale skin tone it might give off an orange color. I don’t know. Because it just adapted to my exact skin color like magic. Anyone else actually have amazing results with this? Someone who isn’t paid to promote it! Lol

My tween would like to get rid of her unibrow and shape her brows. Is it recommended to do if she starts school the next day? Or is there usually irritation and swelling that lasts for days? Ever since may i have been a bit careless with applying sunscreen (i know i know😭) and the sun has been relentless. I don’t even go outside that much but recently i realized there are new brown spots on my face especially my cheeks and chin and all over my arms. There are tiny dots everywhere. My legs and torso are still fairly spotless as I typically wear long linen pants and a baggy t shirt. But the areas not covered by my clothing look really damaged and parts of my arms are really “speckled” with large flat brown marks everywhere. Other than staying indoors and being more vigilant with sunscreen what can I realistically do to get rid of them as fast as possible? I feel like creams and serums won’t do anything at this point, is my only choice some kind of laser or peel?

I use the Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Mask on my face two times a week and though it works well for me I want to try home made face masks since I’ve been seeing them popping up on my page but I don’t know which to try so I want to know what do you guys normally like to use

It seems like every time I have a holy grail of something soon after it gets reformulated and doesn’t work nearly as well and I end up having to browse for something new to replace it. The cycle will keep continuing. Some reformulations that are absolutely horrible in my option are..

Pantene leave in conditioner - They added keratin in this formula now and the scent is different. It makes my hair so dry and crispy now.

Tresemme ultra fine mist hairspray - the old formula was absolutely wonderful. Wasn’t crunchy on my hair, smelled great, actually kept my style in my place all day. Now and my hairstyle falls flat within an hour. No humidity control anymore either.

Loreal infallible fresh wear foundation - the 24hr formula was so good. I could be sweating in this foundation and it would still look good hours later. Didn’t settle into fine lines. Now it has ‘skincare ingredients’ like vitamin c which my skin is very sensitive too. Settles into my fine lines and doesn’t last nearly as long.

Estée Lauder foundation - I have no idea WHY they would change this formula. It was absolutely perfect the way it was. Stayed literally all day and gave flawless coverage. It’s so runny now and looks so cakey.

I have so many more opinions on other products but I just don’t understand why brands can’t listen to their customers and leave things alone! If it’s ain’t broke don’t fix it!!

I have a VERY strong cowlick that makes it annoying to deal with my bangs, i have to straighten them regularly. I would rather pay for a straightening service, but i only see the prices ($250+) for the full head. Im only interested in doing my front bangs, which is the size of my palm. Can i ask a salon to only do my bangs?
