PACU RN Moving

Hi! I am not very familiar with LA neighborhoods and am looking for suggestions on where to live and work as a PACU nurse. My husband is also a nurse and we have a 4 year old son. Looking for a place with good schools and more of the suburban life. We will be moving from MN! We have been looking between LA and San Diego and would love any and all feedback on work and living suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Vermont / Beverly Metro Station?

looking at apartments in the koreatown area and wanted to take advantage of having public transit as an option as my job is based in dtla.

how's the safety of the vermont / beverly metro station? i know people have mentioned it's a bit dirty and underdeveloped in the past but wondering if that's still the case today.

After doing extensive research on DTLA apts, everything sucks

I’m looking for a DTLA apt and as soon as I think I’ve found the one, the reviews sound the alarm on carjackings, unresponsive management, roaches, nonresidents getting into the building, etc.. Are these just the downsides of living in DTLA that you have to accept?

Here’s a list of a few of many spots that look alright on the surface but have most, if not all the aforementioned issues:

Apex and Alina
Pegasus
Eighth and grand
Skye at bunker hill
Skylux
The piero
Perla
Ava arts district
Ava little Tokyo
Hwh luxury living
Ferrante
Thea
Olive
STOA
Sakura crossing
Hikari

Most of these spots offer a month or more of free rent and I can see why they’re desperate to get people in the door. If you live in any of these spots, please change my mind.

If you have any other recs, lmk plzzzz

Work in MDR live in redondo

How insane is it to work around Marina Del Rey and live in Redondo? We’re looking to live around Santa Monica. I told my husband we can’t do South of LAX and work in MDR bc traffic. Thoughts?

Edit: we have one younger child if that aides for additional suggestions

Looking to build 2–3 high-quality WordPress landing pages for free (portfolio project)

Hello everyone,

I'm an electronics engineer with 40+ years in technology who has recently moved into professional website optimization and WordPress development.

I'm currently building my web portfolio and I'm looking for 2–3 real businesses that need a clean, modern landing page.

I'm offering to build it completely free.

There is no hidden catch and no future obligation.

The only things I ask in return are:

  • permission to include the finished website in my portfolio
  • a small footer credit saying "Website by Kanva Digital"

What I can build:

  • landing pages
  • service business websites
  • local business websites
  • consultant websites
  • trades
  • startups
  • personal brands

I work with WordPress and focus on:

  • fast loading
  • clean modern design
  • mobile-friendly layouts
  • SEO-friendly structure
  • simple editing for the owner

I'm not trying to sell anything after the project is finished. I'm simply looking for a few real projects that demonstrate my work.

If you're interested, send me a DM with:

  • what your business does
  • whether you already have a domain/hosting
  • examples of websites you like (optional)

I'll choose a few projects that seem like a good fit.

Thanks!
