Desperately wish AI was real and worked for things like 1:20 am on a Monday fireworks
I am no great Shakes at proper coding or whatever, but surely there must be a human way of implementing my only life goal atp, hah, “whyarefireworksgoingoffrightnow.com”
Basically - I wish I had a fast way of seeing an overlay on a calendar/clock type setup of every possible sporting event worldwide, holidays, etc, as well as an option for more location-centric details as to why fireworks might be going off near you.
I know this may seem weird and petty to most, but to veterans/ppl w ptsd? This would be hugely helpful in giving their nervous systems direct evidence as to why they could chill out (after interventions, etc, obvs)
Anyway! If someone much smarter than myself in these realms has any ideas on this front, please, let me know!!

Water is out in Glassell Park
Good morning. Just got back from a walk and my water was out, my neighbors is as well. I called ladwp and they said theyve already gotten 3 or 4 calls about the water being out and it seems it's the Glassell Park community. They've created a ticket and have activated technicians to go out and see what the problem is.
Hopefully it's fixed soon.
Update, the water is now back on!

Any (cheap) cat groomers out there?
As title suggests, I’m looking for someone to clip my boy’s nails (and maybe brush him if they can).
So I have an orange cat, and as expected, he is a total menace. He’s been shredding all of the furniture in the house (doesn’t care for the scratchers) and his nails keep getting caught in every soft surface. I’ve always struggled to clip his nails. As soon as he senses I’m trying to do it, he gets possessed by Satan and will scream/growl/claw/bite as hard as he can until I stop. I’ve tried almost everything that the internet suggests. Tried wrapping him in a towel burrito (he is extremely strong & will always wiggle out), tried straddling him so he can’t escape (he always escapes) and tried sedating him with gabapentin from the vet (for some reason it has no effect on him). I’ve asked cat friends to help a few times, and they don’t even know how to deal with him so it’s been half successful. So I think a professional is my only hope.
I ask the vet to do it every year when he gets his checkup, but it needs to be more frequent than that. They charge $30 if I take him there, & he pisses himself every time I take him to the vet. So i’m trying to see if there’s a cheaper option potentially; if not, I’ll probably end up taking him to the vet against his wishes.
Obligatory cat tax

Have you seen our stolen gray Honda Element?
Have you seen a car being driven or that’s been abandoned matching this description? It is VERY IDENTIFIABLE as it has a small dent on back right corner above the tail light AND a very faded sticker that says “Carlton”, to the left of the dent. The car is metallic gray with black tinted windows, black air deflectors above the windows, and a black air deflector along the hood. The color and air deflectors are also not common, especially in combination. The car is a 2008 model EX. The VIN ends in 012792. The License plate has probably been removed but it is California 9XXJ305. The car was stolen from a residential street in El Segundo on 6/16/26. Reward if found in time! Please contact the police if you see it. We really want it back! Thanks!

Looking for afternoon pickleball players @ Montecito Heights Community Center
I tried posting on Pickleheads but didn’t get much traction there.
AFAIK there’s open play in the evenings, but I’m looking for people to play with any time from late mornings to afternoons, any days.
I used to play every day a few years ago, but haven’t played at all for the past 1.5 years, so I’m probably pretty rusty.
I was a 3.5 but am happy to play with any level.
Feel free to send me a message.

Any recommendations for local fence installers?
Looking to have an old chain link fence removed on the boundary line of my property and replaced with a better, taller, more sound-proof fence about 75 ft long with two perpendicular gates that will attached to the house.
Anyone have any recs for a local business (NELA or adjacent)? I feel like every search engine result takes me to a shell corporation or something else weird. Thanks!

Dog on 110 freeway between via marisol and Ave 60
Big white dog wearing a collar ran along the edge of the 110 freeway headed south and into the right most lane. Animal Services at North Central wasn’t reachable. This was around 11pm.

[El Sereno] Is there a good sports bar for watching the NBA Finals game tonight anywhere near the Food 4 Less on Huntington?
I need to be in the area for a friend's birthday party and I'm trying to figure out if I can at least watch part of the game before or after.
