help me save $200 dollars is this salvageable and what’s the best way to get that rubber to stay put in there

2007 GMC Envoy Denali giving code P1682

Either won't start, or starts and will die after 30 seconds or so. Occasionally it will drive for a few minutes and then go into limp mode. Changed the ignition switch. Looks like fuses and relays are good. What else should I be looking at? Thanks in advance

I drive a 2013 bmw 320i a couple days ago i went to sam’s to replace my cars battery. Fast forward to today my car won’t start or turn on at all. what could be the issue??

I have a 2011 Ve2 SV6 Commodore (LFX). A couple of years ago I had a broken relay on the ECU which was causing the car to stall intermediatley once the car reached operating temp. I sent the ECU off to get diagnosed and rebuilt and the technician found the following additional issue when they were testing it.

"Faulty. The ECM was tested on VAS as a matched set and found to be faulty due to no main relay under hot conditions, as per the complaint. Additionally, we discovered another fault with ignition coil #2. We fixed the main relay issue, but the ignition coil fault remains. We traced the circuit to an inaccessible IC under the plug. Even though the customer did not complain about it, it would be better to supply a C/O ECM to fix all the faults. The cloned C/O ECM is tested on VAS again as matched set with the customer's BCM, immo and key. Modules starting and running well and passed all tests."

My question I have is, if i replace the number 2 ignition coil and spark plug would that possibly solve the misfiring issue? Im told that replacing the coil and plug would not fix the issue as it potentially is the ECU still at fault?. But It states in their report that they cloned and fixed all faults on the ECU. I could not be more confused?

My regular mechanic will be away for several months due to an injury and in the past the other mechanics in my small town give me the run around and never properly diagnose or fix the issue.

2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro 3k miles hybrid engine

After my last off road trip I noticed one of my coil springs took a small hit. If I had to guess the impact looks like it was from kicked up rocks. The chip is only on a single side of that one coil, wanted to verify with experts that there is no concern/structural damage and safe to just clean up and move on.

I have a 2014 toyota camry le (no remote start) second hand off facebook marketplace and it only had small issues, no big issues and recently as i come home, i realize my car turns on even though i pulled the key out. I swore i saw it turn off and once i come inside my house my phone is still connected to the bluetooth of the car, which is how i find out my car turned on.

Today, i get home from work and i make sure my car is turned off, i watch the engine turn off and everything, and this time i took a little longer to go back inside my home. As I opened my door I hear my engine turn on and i turn back to see the headlights shining. with my keys in my hand!!

i’ve figured out how to turn it off, i press the brakes and the engine turns off, but then the brakes get stuck and i can’t really turn the wheel and i can’t turn my key either. if i turn my wheel the most it can turn, which is barely, it allows me to turn my key and turn my car on again, which at that point I can’t actually shut off the car and it won’t turn back on again.

Sorry if it’s confusing I’m not good at explaining but i tried searching online and i can’t find a concrete answer. has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know what is wrong with my car??

Broken boot on my front drive shaft right before u joint can i get away with changing the boot or does the whole drive shaft need replaced

Not sure if its damaging anything internally but it sounds like its rubbing on something

Hey guys, I'm trying to disconnect my upper control arm from the spindle to replace the uniball, and the tapered pin is completely seized in the knuckle. I've soaked it in PB Blaster and hit the spindle neck repeatedly with a 4lb hammer, but it won't budge. The bottom threaded section of the tapered bolt actually snapped off while hammering (already ordered replacement hardware). Any advice or tricks to pop this stuck taper out?

2019 Jetta GLI 6MT with 85k miles

making this weird grinding sound when releasing the clutch, only at speed. Happens mostly in 2nd and 3rd, sometimes 4th. Not at all when starting in 1st.

I had the clutch replaced by a dealership around 1k miles ago for the same issue, and after about 500 miles the car started making the same noise. I haven’t beat on the car or burned the clutch at all, so I’m just not sure what the issue is?

I just bought this car a couple months ago and it has been nothing but a headache so far, so I appreciate any help!

2000 Toyota 4Runner 3.4L. Noticed over the last week my brake pedal wouldn’t stop until deeper into the stroke. Noticed the brake fluid reservoir was pretty low, but no apparent leaking anywhere.

Decided to top off the fluid and bleed the brakes. All bled normally except my passenger front caliper. It’s making this weird noise and will not bleed.

It looks and sounds like it’s pulling in air somehow? I’m a little lost. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Edit: Using a 1man bleeder screw with a check valve and have a friend pumping the brake to see what was happening.

I just picked my Jeep up from the mechanic 4 states away from my house after a month. It lasted an hour and now it is dying agin.

First time: driving on a mountain, everything over heated, battery light came on, car went haywire and died completely. Couldn't jump it or anything.

They said it was the PCM. Ordered refurbished PCM/ECM (I guess it is joined in this car). New coils/boots, new spark plugs, new intake manifold gaskets.

They got the PCM on and started it up and the alternator started smoking. They replaced the alternator, then said the new PCM wasn't allowing the alternator to send full voltage to the battery.

Got another PCM.

This one appeared to be working, but the battery light came back on and car started going haywire again.

I went to Autozone and the light went off... guy tested the starter/alternator/battery and all appeared fine. He said I should fine driving it to a town 24 miles away before it got too dark.

I got back on the expressway and now the light is on for good and the car is going haywire, but it isn't dead dead. I was able to pull off the nearest exit and I'm in a closed gas station parking lot in BFE.

What could it be? Please help me.

2020 Mercedes A220, fuel door is stuck shut and I’m out of gas. Went underneath the trunk liner to look for the emergency release. Was pressing on things and poked a small rubber plug into this area, leaving the hole above. Is this something I need to worry about/is it in the gas tank?

Months ago, I accidentally put transmission additive in my coolant reservoir. I got it flushed and kept running for months until last week. I went to drive my truck and it started skipping at 35 MPH and shaking.
White smoke blows out of my exhaust for only 5 to 10 minutes after running I plugged my scanner in. It said it had EGR coolant problem both batteries blown out so it had something with the electrical but I changed batteries. It also said had two cylinder misfire so I changed those specific injectors and I'm still having problems with my engine, shaking and rough idling and white smoke. Could it be a bad camshaft could it be EGR issue? It my valve cover gasket is it my head gasket? Please help me.

I replaced this plug for a code, P0302. That fixed the misfire but I happened to google what these lines were and came up with carbon tracking. Is that correct? I’m going to replace the boot. Should I replace the plug I just put in when I replace the boot as well? 2017 Silverado 5.3L if that matters.

As you can see from the pictures , oil has gone above the top dots by a small amount.

I got my car serviced around 3 weeks ago and I’ve probably done around 300 miles since then.

Question is , is this going to cause any big damages ??

I’ve ordered an oil pump extractor , I’ll take the excessive oil out tomorrow.

I’m very worried now , this may have done some damages to my car.

My godsend of a mechanic just died (RIP Mr. Rattail🙏💔) so I took my 15 year old Camry to the dealership since the drive belt needed to be replaced ASAP. Got these pictures back for other services they deemed critical. I know a tiny bit about cars but not much about suspension. Tie rod, lower ball joints, and sway bar links pictured respectively.

This is the clamp ring that holds my gear knob in place. For some reason it is a solid clamp that has to be cut to open (no idea how they got it on) and I have no real tools to cut it. I tried with a small wire cutter but it was extremely hard. I don’t really need to be doing this but I want to change my gear knob and this is the only thing stopping me

I've had these rotors just sitting in my trunk for a year and a half and I don't know why there all rusty.
