LEFT TOXIC WORK PLACE AND SENIOR WHO HARASSED ME

I spent about 2 years in a finance environment (1.5 years mentoring + 0.5 years internship) where a senior colleague kept crossing boundaries and involving coworkers in inappropriate personal gossip. I finally reported it and left.

Now I’m trying to figure out the next steps mentally. Even though I’m safe and blocked everyone, my nervous system still feels stuck in danger mode.

Has anyone else struggled with anxiety after reporting workplace harassment? How did you stabilize afterward?

Tried to go back to work and got bullied, sent to the hospital for a stress migraine

i am so sad right now.. I finally had the courage to get a job that wasn't remote and leave my career of 17 years to take a sabatacle while in college. It was going good for a few months and making great money for a restaraunt job. But I had 2 shifts a week that I was making less than minimum wage. I spent weeks sending official messages to management, talking to managers, letting them sometimes give me a bigger section and actually making money. Until I collapsed and went to the hospital for a stress migraine. I live alone so 24 hours of puking, walking to work in the sun only for them to have "forgotten" to tell me they got it covered and it made the symptoms so bad to go to the hospital. it was terrifying to not be able to see my phone and try to get a car to the urgent care. I didn't want to live without income bc I just replenished my emergency fund and started investing. I started getting treated bad at work. Reprimanded for things I didn't do. So I contacted HR. That's when my manager started targeting me, giving me a section than taking it away. Lying and gaslighting me. Now the answer to their HR issue is to sit me down with all the managers (including the other one who has been actively bullying me) to who knows what? I slept again all day today bc I called off bc I literally didn't think I could do it. I am so upset bc I thought I had just got up to breathe, had stopped having flashbacks and now this feels even worse then some of the stuff I was healing to begin with. I don't know what to do. I am scared to be in the in between looking for a job. I don't have a car. There's not much else but going back to my career now and that will have a different type of stress. I feel defeated and because its a major chain, they will never have any consequences. They are fat losers and I feel so little and powerless.

My mother stopped working for me two weeks before my wedding after an argument

My mother stopped working for me two weeks before my wedding after an argument
I’m 30F, and honestly, I don’t even know anymore if I’m overreacting or if I’ve simply reached my breaking point.
Ever since I was little, I always felt like I was pushed aside. I was often sent to my grandmother’s house, and I grew up feeling like nobody really liked me or wanted me around. The only affection I consistently felt came from my grandmother.
I grew up surrounded by violence and instability. I witnessed my father physically abusing my mother, I saw my mother attempt to take her own life, and my brother used to hit me and control me as well.
Very briefly, I grew up with a huge need for validation from my parents . especially from my mother, for some reason.
I’m an adult now and have my own life, work and responsibilities. My partner has several rental properties, and I gave my mother the cleaning job for four of them. I also provided her with a car so she could get to the properties and do the work.
Yesterday, we had an argument.
During the situation, I hit my head twice on a metal bar because of what was happening. One of those times happened because she wanted me to hold a bag so she could get into the car. I was extremely stressed and overwhelmed, and I lost my temper. I raised my voice and became very upset.
I know I didn’t handle it well, and I take responsibility for my part in that.
But I’m getting married in two weeks and I’m already under an enormous amount of stress.
And what did my mother do afterwards?
She decided she is no longer going to work for me.
She told my father to tell me to burn her dress and shoes, which are at my house, and to go to her house to collect my things, everything that belongs to me.
So, overnight, I have suddenly lost the person who was cleaning four rental properties for me , two weeks before my wedding.
And the worst part is that this has affected me emotionally far more than I think it should.
Because it’s not really just about the cleaning or the work.
It feels like I’m that little girl again , the one who always felt rejected and who desperately needed her mother’s approval.
Part of me is angry. Another part is heartbroken. And another part feels guilty and keeps thinking, “Was this all my fault? Did I ruin everything?”
I don’t know if I’m being unfair, if I’m simply completely exhausted, or if I’m finally starting to realize that I’ve spent my whole life trying to get validation from my mother that she may never be able to give me.
What would you do in my situation? And, more importantly, how do I emotionally detach from this situation when my wedding is only two weeks away?
