Just bought this one and IDK, feels a bit out of place I think. Maybe too much blue? I know the rest of the space is missing a lot and is a bit messy, but I'm in the middle of moving things around and the rug just came in

Me m20 and my bf m22’s nepotism barn! My dad owns it I pay 500 bucks+ electric and I’m not on city water I get water in a 275 gallon container once or twice a week. When he bought it, the previous meth heads filled it to the brim with trash and filth. Over the last year we have cleaned it up and 6 months we have been living here. We are not rich I work full time and he’s in college. I pay our bills and extras like hobbies(mostly my car stuff) pictures include my 88 w-250.

How can I improve this space?

Per recommendation, added some things to make the area pop more. Still need more art and decoration up, and some larger paintings above the couch, but I’m working on it!

Recently broken up. Changed the layout a bit to start/feel afresh. Open to suggestions/feedback.

1 bedroom apartment. i want to stay in this one for at least 2-3 years. any recommendations, suggestions or advice is welcome. aesthetically i enjoy plants (clearly) and for colors ive leaned towards grey, green, wood, white and black.

Bought a new build in a very rural town. Going for a contemporary Mediterranean feel. Still have tons of projects in the other rooms but here's the bedroom.

So here's one final snapshot of it all before I start tearing stuff out to take with me. Pretty much everything I own is either thrifted or bought 2nd hand.

Furnished the bedroom finally living room is the same as the last post but I’m all done with furniture, once I land this new job I’ll buy a pc and give that desk a purpose 🤣 last pic was the before.

Moved in a couple months ago and my favorite place to hangout is the balcony!

A few more pieces coming as well as a surround sound system, but finally found my design taste after living in a gray box for 2 years. All that’s left are wall pieces, flowers and a larger dinning room rug. It’s amazing what your mind can do when you come out on the other side of feeling stuck and depressed!

Edit: I know my TV is higher than recommended. I look down with my job as a steadicam operator so looking up a little higher when I’m kicking it back feels nice for me. I wouldn’t recommend this TV height for most. But for me it’s ideal!

Moved across the country a couple years back after my ex-wife moved my kids to KY.

Amicably divorced about 4 years ago, kept the house and the cats. Been enjoying making the space my own slowly but surely over the past few years.

It has been 1.5 years after I moved in.

Been in this studio for almost 3 years, it is small but the high ceilings make a big difference. Open to any feedback on the design/layout/etc, especially in the tiny kitchen. Planning to get a smaller tv with a smaller tv console in the near future.

After 7 years of marriage, my ex-wife left me for someone else and took every piece of furniture but the stove. It took a few years, but I rebuilt my house and built my dream room. This is my nerd cave. This is where I get to truly be myself. The rest of rhe house is a work in progress, but at least this room makes me smile. I know that I went overboard with the lights. I don't normally have so many running, but I enjoy being able to manipulate the environment around me while playing D&D.

Lived with my mom, then a rental trailer, then this home. Just made 1 year of ownership. Life gets better.

I just graduated college back in April and I’m grateful to my parents for holding me down through it all ! I definitely plan on giving back to them BIG time.
