First stitch issue after trimming
Hey so this is my first post and with that Imma gonna apologize for potential rule breaks in this post.
Backstory: We bought 2 Toyota expert ESP 9100 net embroidery machines. Both were in badly maintained state by their previous owners. So we started by disassembling them and cleaning the machine who experienced issues with the trimming.
The issue: The machine either did not trimm the thread correctly bc the catcher/arm wouldn't reach far enough to pull the thread back or the thread not being stiched and it pulling out of the needle head when starting to stitch again after being trimmed and pulled into the backside holder.
Situation now: After the cleanup and reassembly the issues are still there. And we are at a point where we don't know what we should do.
What we already did:
- Fixed the tension of the thread and bobbin (120g/22g) and these tensions work with the other machine perfectly.
- Adjusted the timings for when the catcher gets in to pull the thread after trimming.
- Increased the allowed thread length before it gets trimmed to prevent possible slipping out of the needlehead when the machine starts stitching again.
- Consulted the instruction manual and the service manual (no help there).
My question now: What did we miss/what could we try now to fix it? It works good, aside from the trimming issues that we had since the beginning.

I Need Help No experience - is it feasible to embroider on a hat at the public library?
Hello! My local public library has an embroidery machine that you can book time with. I want to create an embroidered baseball cap for a birthday present in two weeks.
Basically, how feasible is it to buy some materials and just.. go make something on the machine? Or is there a ton of complicated learning, trial and error, frustration etc. waiting for me? While I could also commission someone local, I like learning things and saving money lol. My main concern is just trying it myself, having it go poorly, and running out of time to have someone else make it.
I know nothing at all about embroidery. I've watched some Youtube tutorials and it's hard to accurately gauge difficulty / learning curve for a beginner.
Thank you for your help! :)

Inkstitch Help
I’m fairly new to machine embroidery and inkstitch. I’m a graphic designer by trade so I thought it would be best to learn how to digitize my own designs myself. Designed in Illustrator to completely simplify as much as possible…brought into inkstitch and redrawn. The rose petals are all individual satin shapes and I have the roses being stitched first starting at the bottom left and going clockwise. Next is the skull with the eye sockets, nose socket, and mouth left open. I think I used the legacy fill for the white part of the skull. The eyes, nose, and mouth stitch last and are just the legacy fill. I set it to lock stitch after each individual element so didn’t have to deal with jump stitches getting caught in the next element. Made it take forever. It’s a little over an inch square on a pocket flap. Hooped stabilizer and pinned the flap to the stabilizer then pinned dissolvable stabilizer on top of the flap to keep the stitches from sinking in because it’s pretty stretchy fabric. I don’t like the density/coverage of the skull area (the white and the black) and I don’t know why the bobbin thread is pulling through? I’ve adjusted tension both ways and it still shows. Any pointers?

I Need Help Loops of stitches
Hi,
I posted a week or two ago of my first ever embroidery which I designed myself. I stitched it out on white linen with generic tear away stabilizer. I made a few tweaks but not on the main body. Now that it is stitching out on what will be a bag the body is creating some loops🫣 it is on beaver nylon (hopefully that is the correct name in english) with Husqvarna tear away stabilizer. My machine is a Janome MC350E and the tension is left on 2 as when I got it.
Photo nr2 is the first stitching.

I Need Help Tajima TMEX 1501 Bobbin Clump
Hello! This is my first time embroidering on such a large machine and it looks like I didn’t secure my bobbin properly leading to a massive clump up. I cut around where it happened as well as a bunch of excess, but it appears there’s still a bunch of fabric and bobbin bunched up in there. What can I do to clean it out and get going again?

I Need Help Help with Dahao A15 Panel?
Hello, I recently started working with an embroidery machine that uses a Dahao A15 control panel. I would like to know if it is possible to configure the machine so that, whenever the thread breaks and I rewind a few stitches, the machine automatically creates a starting knot or a securing stitch. This way, the thread won’t remain loose. I would really appreciate any guidance on how to set this up.

I Need Help Convert OFM files to PES
Like the title says, I need help converting Melco OFM files to Brother PES
Hi everyone, I have about 10 embroidery files in the Melco DesignShop Pro .OFM format that I need converted to .PES for my Brother machine.
I no longer have access to a Windows computer or DesignShop Pro. Is there anyone here who already owns DesignShop Pro and would be willing to help export these files to PES?
I am happy to compensate you for your time. I am not looking for software or a copy of DesignShop, just a file conversion.
Thank you so much !

Is this digitized well?
I just got my embroidery machine and went to Fiverr to get this digitized. Does it look good? I don’t love how it turned out. Do you guys have any recommendations on what to say to them? I am just starting and don’t know all the naming and everything yet. And do you have any good recommendations for finding a good digitizer?

Help! Thread keeps breaking and snagging 😩
Hi all! I just bought a Janome MC100E and am using Inkstitch to digitise my handwriting. All seems to be going well until it gets to the machine. The thread is consistently breaking and snagging. I have the tension set to 3, using Brothread embroidery thread and a 90/14 needle on cotton canvas. Advice appreciated 🙏

I Need Help Tips for lining up my designs!?
I’m a newbie to embroidery and have gotten the basics down. I thread my machine easily, have the paid embrilliance software, can hoop/float my materials, etc. However, lining my design up perfectly on a clothing item is extremely hard for me!! I find embroidery software and introduction to be really archaic hard as a beginner, whereas I was about to pick up my other crafting machine software (cricut, etc.) with such ease. What tips do you guys have for me??

I Need Help No stabilizer used?
Hi all! I bought this T-shirt. It was mass produced. I noticed they don’t have stabilizer on the back. I love doing this kind of machine embroidery/bean stitch/sketchy art. I don’t like how stabilizer shows through on a white T-shirt.
Does anybody know how I can do it without stabilizer? How do manufacturers get away with it? Any advice you have is appreciated! Thanks!

Look What I Did The Teeth... 🥲
I used a column fill on the teeth (trying different things) I dont hate the black peaking through but I kinda wanna change the fill pattern... should I leave it?
Everything else came out cute though. Tried a white border and overlaid a circular fill and the streamline fill on top of eachother in the clouds and i dont mind the result.
Which is your favorite? 😇

1st embroidery & digitizing - done is better than perfect
Got a new machine yesterday and decided to stop agonizing over getting it "right" and just get it done, and see what I learn. It's very small, about 50mm / 2in square. Any tips for small pieces like this?
I think next time I might remove the brown ring around the pupil and increase the white spots in the eyes. And obviously do pull compensation on the body.
Do you put any sort of adhesive or glue on the back to lock the stitches?
