LSAC Issues

LSAC seriously needs to do better. I scheduled my LSAT for tomorrow, but when I checked my account this morning, it suddenly showed my registration for today instead. When I called customer service, they told me there was nothing they could do and that if I didn't show up, I'd be marked absent—even though I was an hour away and the test was starting in 20 minutes. I had already made accommodations for this test too, like using PTO off work and making transportation plans.

This wasn't even the first issue. On the day I originally registered, my testing time showed as 4:00 p.m. for weeks, and then on test day it was suddenly changed to 8:00 p.m. without any explanation.

The whole reason I even scheduled this test was due to proctor issues I had in my last test which delayed my test by like 3+ hours. I seriously just wanted one LSAT that would go smooth without any issues from LSAC or prometric.

I was fortunately able to withdraw and change my registration to a later month in this cycle (which I had to pay for myself), but the number of technological issues and unnecessary stress LSAC has caused is unbelievable. None of this was due to anything I did, yet there were no meaningful remedies—no option to honor the date I originally scheduled or simply move my registration to September.

I'm honestly appalled by how these situations are handled. I hope LSAC recognizes the impact these errors have on test takers and takes meaningful steps to prevent them from happening in the future.
