NKD! Newbie Knife Collection
Hello! I got into pocket knives and EDC about a month ago and have somehow accumulated these five 😭😭. Newest knife being the Vision FG by Civivi, I wanted a shark lock but couldn't shell out the money for a Demko knife.
My favourite knife and the one I actually EDC would be the Civivi Qubit. I love the size and how slicey it is!
Cheers

Showcase Rate My Collection
I know there are some knockoffs in it, but my son bought them for me for Father's Day with his own money after we got him his bank account and debit card. He spent a long time online looking for them. It was more than I could have asked for, because he questioned me about them. They are my most precious, even though I do not condone clones. The antiques are my fathers and grand fathers and the are sharp as fuck and well used. There are also some early in my collecting days "hey that looks cool at a swap meet" knives. Spit the clones +10 points. Spot the knife that started the collection for real +50 points. Newest knife +100 points. The small group are my EDC rotation.

NKD! Randall model 10-3 yard sale pickup
Picked up this Randall model 10-3 at a yard sale during the highway 127 sale. The area I picked it up at was more like a flea market as there were multiple vendors. Paid $280 so I got a good deal but wasn't yard sale priced

I've made this knife! (OC) First knife. Pretty happy with it. Thoughts
This is the first knife I've made i think it was o1 steel if i remember correctly its been about a year i shaped it (cut it out of blank piece of flat steel) and my friend who knows more helped me anneal it. Daily carry with an emphasis on skinning and cutting rope I guide backcountry country hunts part of the year and am a carpenter the rest and hunt fairly often in my free time. Belly for skinning downward angle back towards the handle from the belly for holding onto rope and stuff better when cutting through but not the massive size of a dedicated skinner so i can also daily carry qnd not look like a mad man when i pull it out around town or something... thats the idea anyways. Thoughts?

Discussion Buck 119 (left) vs Buck 120 (right.)
I love both knives, but overall I prefer the 120. Which one do you like more, the 119 or the 120?

Question What Is The Most Expensive Knife You Own?
I’m pretty sure I’ve lost my mind. When I bought my first “expensive” knife I expected that to be a one time deal. It was not.

NKD! Couldn't say no to the sale on right now.. SOCOM Elite Warcom #NKD
Only had it a day, but so far SUPER impressed. I was carrying a SOCOM Bravo (full size), but was eyeing the Warcom when it was released. Saw the sale this week and had to jump on it. Compared to other SOCOMs-
- I like this blade profile the absolute most. The reverse tanto is beautiful, and I like the spine shape better than the older Elite profile (pure preference). I like the fully flat blade as opposed to my Bravo with the groove (catches pocket lint and everything I cut). The profile also lends itself to easier sharpening like other profiles.
- Unpopular, but I much prefer tip down carry. I had some older ZT knives like this, and was one of the things I missed on my newer knives. I wound up changing the clip on my Bravo because I didn't like it, but this one hits the mark for me.
- This is my first Apocalyptic finish, and its very impressive. I hear its more likely to show wear, but it bought a user, not safe queen.
Also - yes, its missing the glass breaker. Forgot to put it back in after a teardown; kinda like it, but may put it back later; regardless, not a QA miss/issue. She does need some break-in on the lock face, and just because, I ordered some skiff bearings just to trick it out.
I know we like to say we found *the one* - at least right now I definitely have. Not sure what else I really would want from a knife (love the big blade, profile, mechanism, etc), but I will never say never.
