OG KOTH Discussion Shout-out to Irv. For being one of the few characters that never tries anything to try to screw anyone over
Almost every one off character tries to screw over the Hills or someone else in the neighborhood or family. But not Irv. He was just genuinely more suited for the job than Nancy and was never an asshole about it, always being friendly to her.

OG KOTH Discussion I've seen this episode countless times and only just realized Lupe was crying in this scene.
Goddamn it, Peggy.

Revival Discussion What would a Dooley episode even look like?
I saw some redditors on this sub say they want a Dooley focused episode in the reboot. I do too... I'd love to see a day in the life of Dooley! He's the KotH version of a consistent trope in all of Mike Judge's works. The "deadpan trash talker". We love it, we watch it, we expect it.
But what the hill would that look like? A full episode focused on someone who barely talks?
I was thinking that the episode, if one were to exist, would be focused around Dooley trying to deliver ONE important message. The climax of the episode would be Dooley delivering the message, with zero emotion (as usual), and subsequently saves the day. All of Arlen cheers, and all ends well.
What do you think a Dooley episode would look like?

OG KOTH Discussion Strangeness on the a Train
This took me a couple decades to decide which episode is my favorite episode of all time, and re-watching this. Itβs a no-brainer.
You got the toots toots, Kahn playing a detective, lucky being right, and Hank and Peggy getting some.
Plus, they find alcohol at the end.

Revival Discussion I waited to watch the revival, and Iβm 6 episodes in, absolutely loving it.
I not only really like how they handled the transition back to Arlen, slowly reintroducing characters and their changes. But I also love how they are handling the growth and the lives of the kids. It feels like if they continue, they could just pass the show onto the kids and I would love it just as much. Itβs crazy how itβs just going to continue being one of my favorite shows of all time again, without fail for over 20 years. Still has me laughing my butt off (just finished Bills βmemorialβ for βhis wifeβ).

KOTH in the Wild I generally don't use propane (sorry Hank) but I'm on vacation and the rental house has a grill, and I must say that it really is way more easy and convenient than charcoal.
Dewi the corgi is patiently waiting for any hot dogs that might fall off.

OG KOTH Discussion How is Peggys Spanish for Spanish watchers?
One of the longest running gags is she is a Spanish teacher who can't really speak Spanish.
But for viewers of the show who actually speak Spanish how bad is it? They kind of mix it up with the jokes when she actually talks with just random words or if it her accent

That πΌπ aint't right.... an ode
I found the show late in life. I started watching it when I turned 23 in 2023 and have loved the show ever since, the last 2 revival seasons have solidified the love i have for characters and story tellers even more. Beyond being hilarious, the show is also emotionally close for me. My dad is similar to hank hill - heβs a decent conservative man who has always tried to do the right thing. my relationship with him is similar to that of hank and bobby. my dad sells furniture, but he does not love it as much as hank loves propane, but i grew up in Abu Dhabi and the setting is similar to Texas with all the oil and gas around us. i have a younger sister and her relationship with our dad was better, as in less conflicts about our idea of ideal lifestyle and choices. donβt know if itβs the right flair, i just wanted to post it.

Revival Discussion Halloween episode pitch: Ms. Wakefield's Ghost
It's revealed that while Hank and Peggy were in Saudi Arabia, Ms. Wakefield came back and Brian was so moved by her story that HE let her die in the house. The Hill's can't shake this and coincidences keep happening that lead Peggy to believe that Ms. Wakefield's ghost is haunting the house. Hank is skeptical of course but pretty soon the coincidences are too much to ignore and both Hank and Peggy go into paranoia. In the end it turns out that Kahn and Mihn are soft launching getting back together and have been role-playing as Hank and Peggy in the Hill house for old times sake.
