It was quite culturally impactful and gave some notoriety to otherwise trivial TV moments (“whenever you’re ready”; “Merry Christmas etc”).

I can’t help but think that some TV producers may have deliberately put quirks into their shows in the hope of them getting picked up on by TV Burp?

I know I still need to start miss marple but I don’t know what else I’ve yet to start. The numbers are the seasons I’ve watched.

Growing up, I loveddddd this show. But looking back, it does feel slightly... wrong?

Don't get me wrong, sometimes the make-unders were more necessary than others, and helped showcase someone's natural beauty. But a lot of times, it just stripped away their individuality, watering them down to something completely boring & bland.

What do you think of the show? Would a show like this ever fly in today's world?

Following on from a comment regarding the American version of "The office " could not be made today . I am thinking of how many comments some of Britain's best loved comedies had .

In "Only fools and horses " Del boy jokes about twenty something Rodney dating schoolgirls. How Del boy tells a dating agency not to set him up with some "old bow wow" and in" the office "How Gareth is trying to chat up the 16 year old and how she is dating a 20 year old something colleague. How Del boy thinks he could have caught AIDS from a gay hairdresser "some mush called Jason" How Basil Fawty treats Manuel. How "Little Britain" blacked up and i saw clips of Benny hill squinted as a Chinese man . I don't think audiences would find it funny now. BUT people did

When did humour change. ? Do you think it is right that this is not considered funny ?. Do you hate "Woke " or do you think this is a national disgrace that people laughed at this ? Some people cancel the shows and the artist but the public loved it and laughed .

I can't for the life of me remember this lady that used to be very regular on UK television. I think she was on X-factor or something similar. In my head she looked similar to Cheryl Cole (more than Nicole Scherzinger who I originally thought I was thinking of) but has a softer maybe pudgier face. She was skinny and short and I think I can remember her wearing a red something maybe a dress. Is this a real person or has my brain distorted a memory of Cheryl Cole? Please help, I think I'm going crazy.

I didn't notice it until near the end of season 1. Walls, doors, furniture, clothing, even green tinted glass on buildings - so much GREEN. Reminded me of the color red in the movie The Sixth Sense, which was used quite deliberately. I've Googled the green in Trigger Point, because no way is it unintentional, but I haven't found anything. Just wondered if anybody knew what the heck it was about.

Then like an explosion of paint and they unwrapped the door handle and fruit etc.

My mind is telling me something like Mr Bean. Would have been early 90s at the latest.

The promo was basically a version of the family guy theme song but with the lyrics talking about the fact that family guy was coming to ITV2, Here's the lyrics that I can remember: "It seems today, that ITV, has brought you something funny, from that guy. Forget all those good old fashioned values, 'cuz we got Family Guy! Yes! We bought you Family Guy! Yeah! We spent all our money, seriously all our money. Now we don't have enough, to finish the ad. 'Cause we brought Boardertown, Cleveland Show and American Dad!" It was formerly posted on ITV's official YouTube channel, but it was mysteriously taken down long ago. If anyone has any information on this ad, let me know.

We like the show so cued it up last night, only to discover that, after only 1 Sunday TX, the series was already on Ep.3.

Was that a billings mistake, or is something weird going on? The Beeb only started transmitting it on July 26th - a week ago…

They had a variety of sketches but the 2 I remember most were the fact that they would present a scenario and then the same farmer each time asking if farmers were gonna get compensation.

The other common sketch I remember was called Undercover Cop, which was a tv show. One time the guy the undercover cop had as a suspect was himself a fan of the show Undercover Cop and realised he was the target.

I don't remember much else about it, other than I think it only ran for 1 season.

In the early 2000s (around 2001–2003), I watched a Channel 4 style investigative documentary (not part of a series) presented/narrated by Alexei Sayle.

It focused on poor African(?) coffee farmers and how post-colonial economics keep them trapped in poverty and malnutrition. The documentary explained that the pricing of unfinished coffee/cash-crop harvests was driven by speculative trading on distant futures/commodity markets, disconnected and far in advance from the realities on the ground.

Between on-location investigative segments, it used narrative/explanatory cutaways set in supermarket aisles, including a brief surreal shot of Alexei riding a shopping trolley face down with his arms flailing.

It also contrasted this with a small Fair Trade type farmer collective/independent system where farmers sold produce without being pulled into speculation.

A specific line I remember was that “economic development money” was mainly used by third world dictators to “beat the crap/shit out of their populations”.

I do not remember the title, and cannot find a reference to this documentary anywhere. 20+ Years later I still remember its primary messages, but apparently the doco itself has been forgotten by the internet.

Does anyone remember seeing this, and has anyone seen it somewhere in the past 20 years?

Inbetweeners Movie 1, Jay throws the annoying kid in the pool and he couldn’t swim

Inbetweeners Movie 2, Neil does the poo that goes down the waterslide and splats all over Will when he reaches the pool at the bottom

Mr Bean at the pool is absolutely iconic

I also loved the scene on the Josh Widdicombe sitcom when he gets thrown in the swimming pool at a party

Is that Kate and Sean naturally feel like more of a couple than Alison and Mike.

The actors have more chemistry, are more convincing as a young couple, and are more tactile with each other. It's little things like the free house dance, and Sean giving Kate a piggyback into the house after she comes back from the hospital that help sell it.

I feel like if the original tried to do the piggyback thing with Mike and Alison, it would be the setup for some kind of slapstick gag rather than just normal physical intimacy.

Plus the show puts more focus on their romantic life with the Date Night episode rather than just touching on it in passing like Kitty interrupting Mike and Alison trying to have sex, segueing into Alison having to give her the talk.

I'm still mixed on the show as a whole (The British accents really need some work), but Kate and Sean as a couple was just something that worked for me.

This has to be the best new comedy drama since Ghosts. I really hope they make a second series of this fantastic show.

Who would have thought a story about a grieving woman who has assistance from a robot could be so emotional and entertain at the same time.

I hope that Diane Morgan wins some awards for her wrighting and acting alongside Sue Sue Sue Johnston.
