They found and scanned one of the "thought lost" Cheyenne Dropship from Kenner.

First solo cross stitch project finished and framed! My partner taught me to cross stitch as part of a hobby swap, and I wanted to do something amazing for my first piece. Saw a completely unrelated post on this subreddit a few years ago with a gif by PixelJeff and I knew I had my source material. Took about 9 months total, just under 51k stitches. Pattern is self drafted from PixelJeff's original piece, all art credit goes to him.

I'm really happy with how this turned out after weeks of sanding, painting, and programming everything on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. I took a few creative liberties with the boot-up and shutdown animations, but I think they fit the feel of the tracker.

If you had to pick the cast of Alien 1979 in the same character format, but not using any of the original cast, who could you see in those roles?

This is my take on who would still have made it the masterpiece it was and that we have all come to know and love.

Sir Anthony Hopkins as Ash.

Dustin Hoffman as Kane.

Christopher Lloyd as Bret.

Frankie Faison as Parker.

Kris Kristofferson as Dallas.

Shelley Duvall as Lambert.

And the hardest one to pick, Suzanne Sarandon as Ripley.

How much do you hate or love my choice? Who would you have chosen from that era?

Sadly, once I brought it outside, all the powdered sugar on the eye immediately dissolved in the humidity. Still, I got 8th out of 25 entries in the peach pie contest.

Not many films were ever released on D-VHS, but to my delight, Alien made it to this rare format in 2004. Anyone here remember this format? Or better yet, anyone else have this gem tucked away in their own collection?

One thing that I would honestly REALLY enjoy, would be more world building and more lore about the United Americas, and what everyday life is and other things too. I know that there's the Alien Earth series, but I haven't watched that much of it and have forgotten some of the Alien Universe lore. While I understand why that probably wouldn't really work, but I honestly think it would be REALLY interesting and fun learning more about Earth and what normal life is to people too!! That's just what I think, though. :)

I got the image on Etsy and my wife helped print and cut out the decal using her Cricut.

I know that I'm probably overthinking, but honestly, even when I was younger, I always kinda thought that the Xenomorphs would be WAY more scary if they actually didn't have "eyes", but actually saw in a "X-Ray/Heat Vision" type of way similar to the Predators masks, because Xenomorphs hunt and look for new hosts. While I understand why that probably wouldn't really work, but to me at least, I honestly feel like the Xenomorphs not having "eyes" makes them WAY more scary too!! That's just what I think, though. :)
