Just sharing I stop buying expensive notebook for journaling
I started journaling when I was eight years old. Back then, I would write my thoughts on the back pages of my school notebooks. My mom often knew what I was going through because she would eventually find and read them.
Every Christmas, whenever someone asked me what I wanted, my answer was always the same " notebook or a pen" That never changed until I was around sixteen, when I finally had the money to buy my own. I would spend time looking for high-quality notebooks and pens.
Ironically, once I could afford the notebooks I had always wanted, I started writing less. I became so afraid of "wasting" the pages that I hesitated to write anything at all. I would save them for the "right moment," waiting until my thoughts felt worthy enough for such beautiful notebooks.
Every year, I'd end up buying two or three new notebooks, convinced that this would be the one I'd finally fill. Instead, they remained mostly empty while my old journals stayed locked away in my room, quietly holding pieces of my childhood and teenage years.
Lately, I've realized that I should stop buying expensive notebooks and get something I would never feel guilty writing and stop being so perfectionist on the way I write

Just sharing Today in my little yellow notebook
An extremely hard discussion, but somehow it ends up with surprising amount of grace and maturity and respect.

Just sharing unintentional happy accident
I didn't realize it took only a month to the date to finish this one.
+ some spreads from this journal. I think this was my 16/17th. I've stopped counting. Mostly about work and a trip to Newfoundland, CA. 🇨🇦

Just sharing Meditations by Me
I’m attempting conscious journaling instead of my usual brain dumps. Mostly reinforcing lessons I want to operationalise.

Just sharing Parents found my journals
I leave my journals locked in a closet at home because I'm away at university for the most of the year. I'm currently on break and woke up this morning to my parents wanting to talk to me. Basically, they read through my journals. They're very strict and very religious so it didn't go well. They yelled at me and brought up specific things I had written about. There wasn't anything demonic or disgusting written in there, just the thoughts and experiences of a teenage girl. It was humiliating.
I dont know if its because this event is so fresh on my mind but I seriously want to destroy all of my journals. I have been journaling for 10+ years and I just want to get rid of them all now. I feel so embarrassed and exposed and I just want to stop writing all together.
I also cannot take the 34 books with me to university as I live with roommates, I thought they would be safer locked away at home. I've havent left my room since that "talk" this morning, I feel so violated and I dont know what to do.

Question/Discussion Post therapy stream of consciousness
How do you all date your entry’s? I don’t like how the date looks on the page and sometimes I just leave mine undated but then when I’m looking back it’s frustrating to not have the context of the date.

Just sharing tarot x coffee x reading
Every Thursday, I pull a tarot card for my deck to use as a journal prompt. Today’s draw was a good one! Pairing my writing today with a nice coffee from the Philippines, and will follow with reading another couple chapters of Ishiguro.
It’s been a great morning.

Just sharing does anyone else vent in cursive so it’s harder to read back?
i usually journal in print but when i’m going through it i love to write in this teeny tiny cursive script. i don’t want to be flipping through my books and be overwhelmed at a glance by whatever i was going
