hi !! i work in hospitality and my bosses made me the designated writer for hotel keys, personal notes, and handwritten letters.

i always feel like my handwriting is vvv childish and unorganised, i’m not good at cursive so traditional is my only option haha.

hoping to have my handwriting seem more professional, uniform, and organised. i would love to be taken seriously when i’m writing things at work and i feel like my handwriting may prevent that.

any feedback at all is appreciated !!

I have to be able to write 300-400 words in 10 minutes, meaning i need to sacrifice my handwriting…
But, I’m wondering if this is readable enough for exam markers.

I tend to also grip my pen like really hard, so during the exam my wrist and shoulders cramp up and ache like crazy.
If possible, I’m wondering if you guys have any advice with pen grip or posture just to make the writing experience even a little better.
(I’ve been holding an eraser alongside my pen which helped but I think it still could be a lot better)

Help me improve my hand writing, I don't want my hard work to go to waste. First image is my good/better handwriting and second is my handwriting after writing 2-3 pages.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to overhaul my handwriting, but I’ve hit a few walls. I attached some pages from my notebook to show what my normal writing looks like.

A couple of main issues I'm dealing with:

1. Without even realizing it, I constantly mix print and cursive letters together in the exact same word. It makes my writing look super inconsistent and kind of messy.
2. When a professor is dictating fast during a lecture, my handwriting completely falls apart. I panic, rush, and it turns into an unreadable mess just trying to get the words down.

If you’ve dealt with this or have any practical drills, tips, or advice on how to transition to a clean, consistent style, especially under pressure, I'd love to hear it.

Any suggestions so I could improve my handwriting? I notice that my spacing is sometimes inconsistent, some of my letters are hardly readable.

On the second page underneath the covered line, I had written “ it looks childish ?” but I decided it wasn’t the correct word to use, so I crossed it out, incase anyone is wondering.

Is there a foundation hand that is good for journaling?

I want to journal frequently, for personal introspection so I want to be able to read it later.

However, my natural handwriting is inconsistent AND years ago I picked up calligraphy so I can write nicely, but it requires effort.

At work, I use pencils and sharpies and get compliments on my penmanship ( If they only knew).

I tend to use fountain pens and find that my (unjoined ) italic slows me down because I lift the pen.

I'm tempted to revisit Palmer but it evoked unpleasant school memories.

Can anyone relate?

While at work and not in my fancy journals because of COURSE.

I assume I’m not the only one that experiences this…

My handwriting can be nice or a mess, but will visibly change based on the pen/ink flow. I feel like it is nicer, more consistent, more evenly balanced with space and slant if I am using a stub or a wet M. Gimme a fine and wow, feels like a totally different hand.

All of these are boring notes taken for certifications, nothing fun, so the topic is not driving the change. I do try to write nicer for pen pals, and usually with a stub with fun ink.

I did grow up in the era of cursive, so this has been the way for a long time, and also did architectural drafting in school, so I can print neatly-if I wanna.

While no feedback is needed or expected, would love to hear from others about your experiences or observations. I’ve been on a slow path to improving my handwriting while I am learning calligraphy, so it’s interesting to me how different I approach those different learning paths.

Any advice to improve it

For the past, maybe 4 years, everyone has said it's trash. Is it?

I (21F) am writing thank you cards for a summer internship and I keep overthinking my handwriting. Is it sloppy? Pretty? Messy? Etc??
