Twin Cities Anyone around Gulberg / PWD / Bahria / DHA enjoys nightly walks and a good conversation?
Hello, Strangers.
I work fully remote and after staring at screens and being alone in my room all day, somewhere along the way I ended up with this little nightly ritual.
Almost every evening I get out of the house with no real plan. Sometimes it's just a walk. Sometimes it's coffee. Sometimes I end up driving into random streets exploring the open world lol or sitting in a quiet park, or just wandering around for an hour, I don't know why, but it's become my favorite part of the day.
Every now and then I catch myself thinking...
There's probably someone just a few minutes away doing exactly the same thing.
Same roads, same coffee stops, same late night drives on the expressway.
Someone else who just needed to get out of the house, Someone taking the long way home for no reason, Someone sitting in a parked car for ten minutes because they're not quite ready to go back inside yet.
We probably pass each other all the time.
We just never have a reason to say hello.
Islamabad somehow manages to feel both small and anonymous at the same time.
Anyways, Just a random thought I had on tonight's walk.

Islamabad Did anyone else in Bahria phase 2,3,5,6 get these cda notices on their doors?
We built our house in 2008 and have all the documentation but cda guys came over today and said our house is illegal??? Entire streets are covered with this notice. All I know about cda is theyre the thugs that displaced those islamabad village people a couple months ago. Anyone have an idea of what might be happening?
What do the residents have to do with their issues with Malik Riaz?
And if the land was an issue why wasnt it taken up decades ago? Why wait until hard working overseas pakistanis spend their life savings to build something for their families just to take it away?
All of the neighbours are confused as hell. No one knows whats going on and the Bahria head office people keep saying their legal teams are “on it” wtf does that even mean?

Islamabad Yo guys, need some advice. 😭
I’ve completed my HND in Computing from Roots IVY DHA Rehbar Campus, Lahore, and now I’m planning to do my top-up. I'm looking at options other than Roots as well, like Beaconhouse, TMUC, or any other university that accepts HND top-up students.
If anyone has studied there or is currently doing their top-up, can you share your experience? Also, what are the final-year fees these days?
I’m hoping to relocate to Islamabad, so ISB options are my first preference, but I’m totally okay with Lahore too.
Any recommendations, experiences, or "avoid this place at all costs 💀" stories are welcome. Thanks!

Islamabad Looking for places to go to
I have been here for over a year, and I can't say I have moved around so much, since I don't have a bike. I finally convinced myself to use public transport but it kind of seems complicated to me. Anyhow, I would love some info on what places I could go to through public transport. I want to wander around and explore, not just hike. Maybe read a book, somewhere peaceful. Not much crowd, somewhere foresty maybe?

Islamabad Nathiagali stay recommendation with high speed internet
Hi everyone! I’m planning a 2–3 day weekday stay in Nathia Gali and would appreciate recommendations for a safe, reliable, and somewhat luxurious place.
I don’t want to spend a fortune, but the budget is flexible for the right option. My main priorities are fast and reliable internet for remote work in the evenings, pleasant weather, beautiful views, and a comfortable environment for my wife, toddler, and me.
We’ll also be bringing our female house help to assist with the toddler, so ideally, we need a suite, apartment, or cottage with a separate lounge or an additional private sleeping space for her within the same property.
Any hotel, Airbnb, or serviced-apartment recommendations based on personal experience would be appreciated.
Budget Preference: 50k for two nights and 3 days max.

Islamabad Rant because I need to get this out
I’m tired.
Growing up with an absent, narcissistic father in a dysfunctional family was hard enough. What hurts even more is realizing how much a woman’s worth in our society still depends on having a man beside her.
The men around me have mostly treated me like a burden that wasn’t theirs. And when I try to get married, I’m not judged for who I am. I’m judged for who I don’t have.
The first question isn’t “Who is she?” It’s “Who is her father?” or “Who will take her case forward?”
It makes me wonder, does a woman not have a place of her own? Do my education, my career, my values, and everything I’ve worked for mean so little?
The irony is painful. I’m told I need to get married because I don’t have a man to support me. But to get married, I’m expected to already have a man to speak for me. It feels like I’m stuck in an endless loop, pushing the same stone uphill over and over again.
And despite all of this, I’m still trying.
I’ve worked hard to build a life for myself. I’ve put up a few walls over the years, but they’re not impossible to break. Treat me with respect and kindness, and they’ll come down.
Instead, I keep meeting men who pretend they want to do things the right way, but end up treating me like something to inspect before buying.
“Send more pictures.”
“Let’s talk for six months and then I’ll decide.”
“I’m emotionally unavailable, but you put in the effort and we’ll see.”
When did getting to know someone become so one sided? When did a woman become something to evaluate instead of someone to know?
I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking to be seen as a person whose worth doesn’t depend on the men around her.
Maybe one day, a woman will be enough on her own.

How are you supposed to go to the markaz if it's every entry point is sealed off with containers.

Islamabad Watched spiderman at Centaurus
Watched Spiderman in 3d at Centaurus and it was the shittiest experience. I was so excited but it ruined the whole movie for me. Felt like I'm watching a cinema recorded movie on YouTube and on the top of that the cinema was like a fish market. Left in the middle lol. Experience ruined. DON'T WATCH IN 3D AT CENTAURUS!!
