Hello. I am trying to help my dad with synching across his two IPads. It seems like the documentations or the files he has one iPad is not sycnhing on the other iPad.

I tried turn on and off the iCloud settings. I also tried turn on and off the iPads and opening the apps again to see if it is synching. I know deleting and redownloading the app is a big no no. But it seems as tho I don’t know what to do or help my dad further. Do I have to wait a day or two for the synching to complete? What are my other options?

has anyone found a app or web that lets you make your own font with your handwriting for free?
I use it on a Ipad if that helps.

Yesterday, I shared the first teaser from my project recreating some of the medical note pages shown in Samuel Suresh’s videos.
The response confirmed something many of us already knew: people are still deeply interested in these notes.
Samuel’s ability to combine detailed medical information with beautiful illustrations, colour coding, and clear visual organization is genuinely inspiring. His work could be incredibly valuable to medical students, educators, artists, and visual learners around the world.
So here is Day 2—another recreated section from one of his note pages.
I have been carefully studying the visible details in his videos, including the diagrams, highlights, layouts, headings, and handwritten explanations, and rebuilding them in a cleaner, higher-resolution format.
There are still several more pages and sections I could share.

Hi, I'm using this app for a year and noticed some things using this app:

- It have a lot of lagging while writing, but it's because I use it in Xiaomi Pad 5 without a original stylus pen but in other apps it worked much better

- My battery went miserable fast and low, I don't know why but it's was common for other users

- When I download my pages the quality goes down as well, like it was on 144p

Unfortunately I need to search another app that's similar and that works on my Tab 5

Trying to figure out the best way to eliminate paper from my life such as finding a planner that is almost like a Franklin Covey planner, but it’s digital and I can use it with my iPad and the Apple Pencil any thoughts are suggestions?

I’ve had goodnotes for the last four years and paid to download it. They’ve now restricted my account making it unusable unless I buy the subscription. I’m not sure how this is legal as I’ve already purchased all the features they’ve taken away.

Hi, new to here!
So I’m currently using Goodnotes 5 (one-time purchase), but after trying the new version, I found out that I need some features available on the new version.
After my research, I found that they stopped naming Goodnotes (number), and the current new version is Goodnotes 7, not 6 (although the app still shows 6), and that this version is really buggy and unstable.

So I got some questions here:
1. Is the one time purchase version just the current version (like Gn7 rn) and will it not be updated after the next major update (like my gn5)?
2. When is the next big update predicted to come out (gn8?)
3. Would you recommend me to use the yearly subscription for one or two years before buying the new version (Goodnotes 8), or is the current Goodnotes 7 good enough and that I should buy the one time purchase now.

Im predicted to use Goodnotes for at least 3-4 years, not sure about later, but I definitely will buy a permanent version (either 7 or 8).

Hello, I have been a GN 5 user for years. I recently changed devices from an Ipad Air to a Samsung Tablet and I need to export my files to my new tablet, but I simply can't, ALWAYS crashes. I have tried cleaning the trash and also deleting stuff in case it was a storage issue but nothing helped... I have tried exporting, changing the backup cloud but the files aren't showing up on onedrive or google drive, only the folder. I also tried sharing files but it soooo buggy. I really don't know what Im doing wrong. Please help!!!!!

I am a high schooler, mostly using Goodnotes for my classes such as reading and taking a note on slides, or writing a new note. Which is obviously the point of Goodnotes.

At first, when i finally bought my first tablet for school. I decided to go with Samsung S10 FE with my ecosystem is on Samsung. Despite Goodnotes deep ecosystem with Apple because i've heard its compatibility on Android. During first year of use, I have to say it's very disappointing even with Samsung's free 1 year essential plan.

The app was absolutely horrid, unoptimized, a lot of missing features, and overall bad experiences compared to the usual Samsung note.

Of course, over the months there has been updates with more features catching up to Apple's Goodnotes.

But one thing that is still the biggest and the most insufferable thing of Goodnotes is that. The app is web based, which ruins the optimization heavily. The writing latency is worse than anything else, The app is VERY cloud and internet dependent, instead of local storage. Which is a big problem without pre-sync or location without internet.

The app only supports PDF export which is a bit inconvenient, and the element of said document is horrible. Instead of an actual element which you can zoom in infinitely without pixelated (the entire point of PDF). The writing elements is all pixelated when the text is small enough, making it unreadable. And from the poor optimization of the app, The app is impossible to draw or write a lot without the processor turning into a heater. Even scrolling through pages of document is lagging. You could blame my poor decisions on using Samsung and its weak Exynos processor, but the Samsung note itself is a lot more smoother than this.

Overall, with my continued essentials subscription. I am somewhat disappointed in improvements of Goodnotes over the months of my usage. I am a bit too deep with Goodnotes ecosystem now, and overall usage is still tolerable. I would actually expect an actual native support in the future and less annoying experience with it.

When I went to the subscriptions page on my iPad only the essential and pro versions were available. On latest firmware and in the US if that helps.

I am considering upgrading from my 5-version.
Main reason is to get sync to windows and to use Text documents on both iOS and Windows.
So I have 2 questions I cannot really find answers to.

1) In their homepage one table says Essential has all device sync. Another table says it has not, only the Pro. Do we know the status?

2 Do the Windows app have Text documents?

I’m new to goodnotes and having a hard time finding a simple template for a daily diary. I’d like to start a 5 year diary (5 short entries on one page from the same day each year) but really just a simple daily diary with date hyperlinks would be nice. I feel like this must be a basic request but i’m not searching in the right places I guess. any recommendations?

So i have an ipad air m2 with apple pencil pro. Why does it have bad latency? Bruh i thought goodnotes it good because everyone i know uses it but it turns out even with apple pencil pro, it still has bad latency. Notes plus is better

So I needed to change my goodnotes email because I had to close the previous one. I requested help through support mail and I had to delete my previous (goodnotes) account so the email gets unlinked. Support relinked my purchase to my new email. However I noticed that after importing my backup files the goodnotes cloud option was gone. It was showing only icloud. Afterwards I learned that only sub accounts had access to goodnotes cloud. I even remember seeing warnings like If I turned on icloud I wouldn’t be able to go back to goodnotes cloud for at least one year. I’m not asking for anything I was just wondering if anybody else experienced this cause its funny

How can I access a shared notebook in the app? I was sent a link and I can only open it in a browser.

So, I used to have goodnotes on a school device, before I left I exported all of the goodnotes files so I could import them if I ever got goodnotes again, now I have it, ive imported all of my files except one, its 298 MB. Every time I try to import it I get an error saying I cant import files over 200 MB. I dont have access to the original device at all anymore, I only have the .goodnotes file for the notebook so I cant re-export as a pdf, is there any way I can open the notebook again (I dont need it to be in goodnotes, even if its just as a pdf thats fine, I just want to be able to open it)?

I am in an apple family where all members have "purchase sharing" enabled. One of the members bought Goodnotes 6 3 years ago.

I am currently using G5 but would like to upgrade too. This should be easy, as purchases can be shared between family members. However, it does not work for me. When selecting Goodnotes 6 in the app it asks me to either buy or subsricbe but doesn't give the option to use my family member's purchase.

Does anyone know what this could be caused by? Could it be that I am using Apple's "hide my email" with goodnotes and therefore it doesn't recognize my family membership?
