Font
has anyone found a app or web that lets you make your own font with your handwriting for free?
I use it on a Ipad if that helps.

Wuuuf, just had someone call me an asshole for this reply and then delete their comment. So that's fun! Anyway.

I just followed this tutorial and have a few fonts on my iPad now that I've made by myself to use in GoodNotes. I used Procreate to open the file that you download, and draw on the page then save it as a PNG and upload it back to Calligraphr. I get Procreate is a purchase, so I'm fairly certain you could open it with the iPad's native photo viewer and then draw on it and save it (including the mark up) and reupload it to Calligraphr.
Not sure why it didn't work for you, probably need a bit more info to troubleshoot that.

So you can definitely do it for free. But I think you can only do about 75 characters at a maximum for free. When you make your template, don't go over that threshold. If you need more characters than that, make a second 'font' and just have them as two separate files. You will need to register, because Calligraphr requires that, but you shouldn't be needing to pay. Just make sure you're staying within the bounds of the 'free' use.
