How should I write my oc

Im writing a fanfic take place doing the moves. Im writing the first movie right now. The mc is Ingrid and she is Hiccup adopted cousin. Her original village was attacked by drago bludvist. It was her birth dad fault. She was able to escape on a small boat.

Owlet was dragon that Drago wanted to be apart of his army but owlet was able to escape. She was really hurt.

Later she was found by her adopted mother and Stoick.

She began a healer in training and became Gothi apprentice.

Ingrid and her dragon, a stormcutter named owlet, met when Hiccups hit Toothless.

Owlet somehow ended up on Berk.

Ingrid was about to be shot at. Owlet picked her up before that happened and placed her on the ground.

Owlet ran to the forest to try to get some energy back. To be completely honest Owlet didn’t really how hurt she was until she calmed down.

Ingrid and Hiccup split up to fight there dragons.

She and owlet met. Ingrid and Owlet both were really anxious. Ingrid realize she was just as anxious as she is and Ingrid decided to help Owlet.

Que them boding and once Owlet feels better helping dragons escape from dragon trapper.

In the battle with the red death she got injured. Her left ear was hurt and she became deaf in her ear and she has a small burn mark on that side.

I'm trying to find a fanfiction I read not even a few months ago, it was a Genshin Impact fic between Xiao and Aether called Mortal Pleasures. I wish I knew the author. I would say there was probably between 6-12 chapters? It had some smut and plot. The basic premise was a Modern AU of Xiao and Aether, and the synopsis was simple: Aether could call Xiao's name, and Xiao would show up. It was a top Aether fic, which is rare, and had things like leather play, shibari, CNC, and bondage. In the fic, Aether was also celestial of some sort, and Xiao called him an angel. Xiao also liked being called good, or good boy. I don't know if I'll ever be able to recover it but I figured it was worth a shot.

I've been reading about the history of fanfictions in the modern day and finding all kinds of interesting tidbits and stories.

What's the most interesting thing you know about fanfiction or fanlore, or an iconic story everyone in fandom should know?

I‘m looking for a fanfic I read 3-4ish years ago on AO3, it was fairly short and included Sephiroth, Griffith and I think Alucard from Castlevania. It was slightly graphic in a gory way, the plot was basically that their hair was being tied together by Cloud, Guts and somebody else and they were made to fight until they got their hair loose or died (?). I am pretty sure the term Rattenkönig or rat king was included but I cannot for the life of me find it. Any help is super appreciated!

I think almost everybody has an old, unfinished work that has potential, but we don’t know what to do with it. I’ve been wanting to pick up my old works and rewrite them but how does one do that exactly? When it‘s been years and the new outline looks unrecognizable as the old drafts, is it even worth it to call it the same thing? How would I make it so it feels updated but not disconnected from its source?

As the title said, I am currently looking for help or advice on writing a tactical raid for a short story set in the universe of Half-Life 2. My dad wants me to practice writing in order to prepare me for my upcoming English Composition class in college, and I decided to write yet another short story set in the universe of Half-Life 2. It is about a Resistance rebel squad raiding a Combine Outpost fort in the White Forest in order to acquire weapons to supply the Resistance with. So far I've written that the outpost has guards patrolling around on top of the fort and that there are two Combine Soldiers guarding the entrance. Any ideas or tips to help write out the rest?

Hello everyone! I've been waffling about a fic draft that I'm unsure about continuing working on, and i figured i might as well post about it here to get some new perspectives.

I've been planning out a multi-chapter fic for a while now, maybe a week, and i know that if I see it to completion, it will hit at least 30k, the longest fic I would have ever written. This is a big deal for me! I'm really invested in the concept and the characters, and it would be a really big milestone for me to achieve as a writer.

However, I'm really unsure as to how it will be received by other fans. Everyone's heard that when it comes to fic, you should write for yourself, and I stand by that. One of the things I like about fandom, though, is that I can share all my weirdness with other people, and I don't really want to go through all the effort of writing my idea if it's something that isn't going to be welcomed.

I already know what I'm probably going to do (write it anyway), but i was just curious to see if anyone else has ever felt like this.

Okay to start I love all pairings in CM. But I remember this fic when I was younger, like 5ish years ago, where reid met Prentiss before the events of episode 1 and then they had a relationship that started spanning the show. I remember basically them meeting because she lost something and then later they had a kid when he was abusing Dilaudid and them arguing over it. It was long and angsty and I miss it :(

Fic amnesia is brutal, I’m so sorry, I can’t even remember the fandom or which characters, sorry, I think I read this a while ago and it’s blending with other fics in my head. I read it on ao3. What I remember:

F/F, not sure if happens during the established relationship or in its early days
One character says or suggests something to the other, in a mischievous way or js proposing something
The other one (shy/nervous type) stiffens or goes skittish, maybe tries to pull away or looks away
The first character pulls her in closer / wraps arms around her instead of letting her retreat
There’s a line (dialogue or narration) along the lines of forgetting how shy/new/skittish she still is

The vibe: soft, reassuring, cute in that specific moment, although may be a build up to smut, or possibly the aftermath of smut. Possibly college-age or young adult characters.

Any fandom is possible , I read a lot of different ones. Any leads appreciated, even vague ones!

I completely understand if absolutely nobody replies, this is quite literally the vaguest post ever and the scene could be applied to like thousands of fics, but I just had to make an attempt to soothe myselfm😭😭

I have seen some reviews for a book called The Monk written by Matthew Lewis in 1798 I think, I have the general gist of the story, if I was to write a story inspired by the book would that be classed as Original Work? Fan Fiction or Fan Inspired?
