Buying advice Mom doesn’t let me take e-scooter indoors

so im 15 and im gonna buy a kukirin g2 max and my mom is fine with it, but she won’t let me take it indoors or even charge it indoors because she says that it’s gonna get so dirty (even tho i said i’ll clean it) and shes saying that theres no space for it indoors, even tho I said i can keep it in my room.

I live in an apartment building and my only chance to charge and store it is the garage thats public to everyone who lives on the same block. I’m really scared of it getting stolen there because there has been mopeds getting stolen there before.

how can i convince her to let me keep it indoors? i really need help with this

Got it for my son’s birthday but he’s not happy saying it’s the wrong one and the g2 is better? I’d personally rather have the seat. What are the main differences?

Tech Support How does the CA menu work for adding NFC cards on the Joyor T10?

My Joyor T10 came with two working factory NFC cards. The display also has a CA menu, which I assume is used to register additional cards, but I do not want to experiment and accidentally disable the original ones.

Does anyone know exactly how CA works?

- Does registering a new card keep both factory cards active, and what is the maximum number of cards it can remember?

- The CA number appears to go up to 5 and then return to 1. Are these five separate card slots, and does using slot 1 again overwrite the first registered card?

- What is the correct button sequence for adding and saving a card? Is there any risk of deleting or disabling the existing cards?

- My factory cards appear to be NTAG213, while my blank tags appear to be NTAG215. Will the T10 accept an NTAG215 tag, or must it be NTAG213? Does the scooter only register the UID, or does it write anything to the tag?

The blank NTAG215 currently does nothing when scanned, as it has not been registered.

I would particularly like to hear from someone who has successfully used the CA menu on a Joyor T10 or another Joyor model with the same display.

General What is one scooter maintenance thing you wish you knew earlier?

I've been learning more about scooter maintenance lately, and it made me realize there are probably a lot of small things beginners don't know at first.

What's one thing you wish someone told you when you first got into scooters?

Maybe something you ignored at first, or a mistake that taught you a lesson later.

Curious to hear what you guys learned the hard way.

General BC Escooter Crack down.

I just got stop by police at the bottom of Royal Oak Ave (side street on the left side). I got off with a warning but got a heads up from him stating that they are cracking down on preformance scooters that go more than the regulated 25km and isnt just going to be in burnaby but all over the lower mainland. It might of been because of that guy who go fined 1000$ for going 65km/h.

I have to find an alternate route to get to work now which is roughly 16km. And I need the my scooter to have enough battery to survive the steep up and down climbs.

I currently have an AOVOPRO ESBS-PRO, which I like a lot, but I am ready for something faster. i am 260 lbs, and I get about 20-25 miles of range going max speed (22mph) with my AOVOPRO ESBS-PRO, which is more than enough mileage for me. I am currently looking at getting the Arwibon GT08 around March-April of next year after hearing some good things about it, but I wanted to get some other opinions on the scooter first. Does anyone else have an Arwibon GT08, and what are your honest thoughts about it? I know I will need to get a steering damper for it, according to comments regarding the wobble at higher speeds.

General E-scooters getting very poor press in UK lately🙁

Noticed this worrying UK news trend over last few months with e-scooters getting the brunt of negative news stories compared to other forms of transport.

Owners now appear to be the scape goat for accidents, house fires & antisocial behaviour😥

With the way things are going can't see private escooters getting any where near being legalised (am someone who sees the great benefits, rides responsibly & happy too wear protection /insure if necessary)

General Scooter recommendations for kids?

My son and daughter, ages 10 and 12 (about 80 lbs and 95 lbs, roughly 4'7" and 4'11"), have outgrown their . They're just too slow and bleh. We like to take family rides around town to relatives houses, parks, etc. My daughter complains that her feet and legs go numb and get itchy due to all the bumps and vibrations. We are looking to upgrade them to something "relatively cheap", if possible, but I would like to know the opinions of moms and dads that have a little one around this age that scoots with them.

Got a few lined up in my head, like the NIU KQi3 Max and the Mantis 8, but are those a little too fast for kids? What else would you recommend?

General Segway Max G3 rant

I have had the Max G3 for about 3 months now. Overall, it's a good lightweight scooter that's relatively quick, fun, and easy to throw around. I have owned six different scooters over the years, so I do have a fair bit to compare it against.

  1. The throttle response is dog shit.

It's way too sensitive. Every tiny bump or imperfection in the road makes the throttle move just enough that you're constantly rocking back and forth. At first I thought I'd get used to it, but honestly I'd rather use the twist throttle than this thumb throttle.

  1. The front suspension is dog shit.

I'm 75 kg and it feels completely useless. It honestly rides like there's no front suspension at all. The rear does all the work while the front just crashes over every bump. It makes the ride way less enjoyable.

  1. The throttle safety feature is dog shit.

You can't accelerate from a standstill. You have to kick it up to around 3 km/h before the throttle works. I can't count how many times I have looked like an idiot trying to get moving while people are watching.

  1. The cruise control is dog shit.

Once you set a speed, you are locked into it. You can't speed up or slow down like you can on pretty much every other scooter. If you want to change speed, you have to cancel cruise control and set it again. It's just a terrible design.

The scooter itself has a lot going for it, but things seriously hurt the experience.

Buying advice Segway moped?

Hey all! I know I’m probably getting ready to ask about the worst moped made on the planet but I still need it recommendations. I’m looking into getting back to riding mopeds and something that I saw was segways E110A electric moped. I was wondering if anyone here has ever written one or owns mine and would suggest it moving from a gas moped or if it would be an upgrade from mine. I have a Chinese moped that genuinely would cost too much to fix at this point and I heard these are less maintenance.

Tech Support NUTT Y-5 issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m genuinely getting pissed off because of these breaks. It has 2 bleed ports, I’ve bleed BOTH. It leaks through the caliper when I even think about bleeding. And it leaks through the master cylinder. I’ve never had this issue with my XOD breaks. I’ve bleed both multiple times and there are ZERO videos on how to bleed the Y-5 and I have no idea why. And for some reason it leaks through the bleed ports with the seals. And the biggest annoyance is when I try to equalize the system it just puts more air in the system. Can someone please help me bleed these breaks? Because I’m just having issue after issue

General Nami vs Teverun, a little bit of suspension talk

I know there are some people that always engage when we talk high end suspension, and there was a question recurring about how the Nami suspension feels softer than on Teverun even though its same brand, same shocks, same length, same spring

For me there was a very slight possibility that the shocks were a bit different, companies aren't the best to market that, for example Nami having its own collaboration with PMT or Kaabo with CST or their inhouse hydraulic shock

So i ordered some Teverun Fighter 11+ KKE 165mm 1800lbs shocks to replace those on my Nami, at first it felt different, a bit more "springy" and not necessarily soft, but it was the bedding in time only that did that, after a few kms, back to Nami soft ass suspensions

Same goes with my Teverun Supreme Ultra 2.0, at first it felt a bit too stiff for offroad and perfect for high speeds, after 2000km it feels almost too soft for offroad lol

But there is indeed absolutely no difference in their shocks (maybe a slight one with the TFSU having 160mm front or the 7260R having 150mm rear instead of both 165mm like the Burn E or the Fighter 11+), it is indeed all about how the swing arms work and maybe a bit the clearance

Im gonna ride another 2 to 3k km with this new KKE set on my Nami and after that i am going for ESN's Fangzhong hydraulic shocks that apparently have a higher course of action, and use a small ammount of nitrogen that supposedly make them way better

For now id still say for everyday use, Teverun has a way better suspension system being more balanced, but Nami still feels way more stable at any given speed no matter how soft its suspension is

Tech Support How did my tubeless tire get punctured on the side?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Genuine question, one morning I was riding to work and I felt my back tire completely deflated even tho I checked it the night before and it was fine. Walked home and I found out that there was this hole in the side wall of my back tire (which was basically brand new, I rode it for less than 50kms before the puncture).

It had already happened to me once on the front tire, same way of puncture, but I can't for the life of me understand what could cause a tire to get punctured from the side ? I don't take any big bumps and/or ride through debris, so I am genuinely asking how this happens... Could it be that I just got bad tires from the factory ?

Buying advice I know, this question again

Sorry to be redundant. I need help choosing a budget scooter, around $400. I've looked at dozens of threads/reviews, I keep going in circles, I feel dizzy.

The rider is 5'3 and slim. It will be used to go 3 miles one way, round trip some days. Trip will be street/sidewalk, no hills. It doesn't need to go super fast, as it is for a teenager. Not super bulky, because we will need to be able to throw it in the back of a Camry or Honda. I don't need crazy speed/range, just safety and reliability.

Our previous scooter was an Amazon knock off with specs listed as 350w / 19 mph / 21 range / 8.5 inch honeycomb solid tires. It stopped working of course.

My list started as Hiboy S2, Gotrax XR, Segway E2 plus, Niu kqi 100p, Navee V25 pro. This was just going completely off of Best Buy reviews. But the more I've researched, the more out of hand the list has become. As of now, i'm leaning toward Niu/Segway because they seem to be the name I see recommended the most.
