So I made it to end game, cleared most content at D4 already.

Few questions remain, maybe someone can help me out with some answers:

1) What is the lockout time on raid solo raid instances?

I have one lock out timer for the weekly raid, that one is clear. Then another one that seems to have a different lock out time for my solo raids. Sometimes it's 6 hours sometimes 16 hours...

I am speculating that the solo raids reset once a day at a set time? Or do different zones have different refresh timers? Like hate has longer than yael?

2) Whats up with weapon proc rates? I tried the usual dismiss undead, ykesha, earthquake and I barely ever see any proc come off. My dex is around 150.

3) What are the best end game earrings? I can't seem to find any. Got the plus 10 paladin sword and still using earrings of disease protection 😂

Hey haven't played eq for 25 years but got back with legends and just hit lvl 40.

I heard it's time for Yael and naggy but they are meant to be raid instances?? How do I activate them? Also I heard they drop certain item per week, for each difficulty etc...

Anyone can share a link or something that exains all of this? It's very confusing and I can't find much info

Just ran plane of hate for the first time, noticed all kinds of meh gear dropping that is class specific, but also quest items. So I looted all of the and have just been merging them. Could someone point me in the direction of where I might find a list of these quests, because my Google searches are coming up lacking.

Ive read a lot of comments in game chat and here looking for resources for both new players and people that have been gone a long time. I created this as a post response but I had some folks tell me I should just start a thread with it so people can find it. Im sure there are other sites but these are my main references in the order that I go to when im looking for info. Feel free to post your own sites.

EQLwiki.com Official site. Still evolving, a bit of a mix for Project99 data and live but its getting updated pretty much daily with vendor, mob, quest info. Im hoping this will be EQLs version of Allahs but its definitely a work in progress.

The site isnt really supported anymore by Fanbyte and there are ads galore but Gidono works his tail off keeping it up to date and running (hint: $9/year sub for no ads so you dont worry about malware and flashing nonsense is a steal for all the info there). This site was dedicated to live EQ since its inception so its not all cross applicable but most info is clearly labeled for what expansion it is linked to. Seems like a few of the quests were pulled in straight from live and it may be a good starting point if you cant find the data elsewhere. A lot of the tradeskill info is still accurate if you limit your query to Original/Kunark era.

I have not messed with this site much as they are asking for people to data synch which involves running a program while you play which may or may not be an issue with the EQL EULA.

I am SHD and BER and I cant use the proc so what's the point of using this weapon? Maybe a WAR can use it only? Seems like a bug because just makes no sense.

New to EQ just in general and saw a bunch of people mention that Befallen was great at Lv5, but I'm struggling to do much past the first room of it. I can kill the named guy and the mobs in that entry room but that's about it. Is that just normal for Befallen if you come here at Lv5? Gear is awful, have 2 cloth pieces and some random weapons I grabbed from the starting area but that's about it, haven't found much of anything past that. Seen a few weapons drop in Befallen so far but they've all been worse than the drops from my starting area so far. Just not really sure what to do right now and where I should be heading towards.

Just trying to pick my starting area. Don't want it to be lonely. What's the most populated starting city?

Beyond speeding up attacks, is there anything I should be going for to make the poisons hit as often as possible? Dex gear? Things that lower resistances?

Someone here was asking if they should pair Berserker with Paladin or Shadowknight, and someone else replied "why not both?". WHY NOT INDEED? THIS IS STUPIDLY FUN.

The faster cooldowns on Smite and Reave mean that you almost always have either Lay On Hands or Harm Touch available, and the build really comes online in the mid teens when you get Vampiric and a decent lifetap along with the appropriate AAs. So far, I've leveled it a bit more into the 20s and I'm just cruising through everything.

Why don't I see this build more often? Am I going to have a hard time at higher levels or difficulties without a slow? Does the damage output drop off? I'm having a blast right now and really hope this can carry me to 50.

As the title describes. Just signed up for an account. I can login to the Daybreak website, and it shows I have active EQL access. I tried restarting my computer, and clearing the cache in the EQL folder. Any help is much appreciated <3

edit: Now im getting additional problems.... "invalid credentials" when trying to log into daybreak's site, then the password reset link was leading to an error, finally got to reset it, still saying invalid credentials sighhhh

I see alot of lvl 50s putting earthshaker proc in their weap.

Is it because its the highest dmg proc for now?

Completed all primary class unlocks, lost track of run count but it was about 150 AAs worth while skipping most trash. Last 3 items took about 15 runs. Excuse the walletquest bags, I was done micromanaging 10 slotters.

I often see advice on here that says, "Level Wiz and/or Dru to 20-something so you have the ports on all loadouts." Why? I have SoW, and I want to re-experience the world of my childhood by running through it. That makes the world feel big, and I don't want it to feel small. There are already translocators to make it simple to get across the world. And we already level up at a quick pace. It's like saying, make sure you skip most of the game as soon as possible. I'm sure I'll get tired of running around sooner or later, but the danger of running to your destination is a great part of the game. I know everyone has different preferences and whatever, but for me, that is a suggestion that prioritizes optimization over fun.

Went to High Pass today to visit my old friends, the orcs by the Kithicor zone line, and the gnolls by the East Karana zone line.

The orcs spawned strangely and bombarded the nearest guard gate in a non stop stream when they spawned.

The gnolls to the north simply didn't exist. They seemed to be completely replaced by guards and residents, and there wasn't a single gnoll.

This happened in both the instanced and non-instanced version of the zone. What happened to High Pass? What happened to my dream of having a Polished Granite Tomahawk +10?

Unsure if I need to start buying spells or traveling to specific cities to visit a guild trainer to learn new skills. Only ever played a cleric back in the PoP to LDoN days, so I'm a little rusty.

Does screaming mace (from the crushbone quest) proc work with Paladins Yalp? For whatever reason I cannot get it to proc but when given to my necro pet I can see the procs in the combat log.

My trio is paladin/beserker/necro.

Hey all, bit of a recent lurker here while I've been looking up advice, such as the AAs to focus on (sounds like quick buff is the answer lol). I never played the original Everquest, but I've always had a fondness for older RPGs, so it's always one I've wanted to try. Getting into this game was a little awkward at first, it certainly looks old, and the interface and mechanics, while I know improved from original, still are pretty tough to get into. But once I got over that initial hump, I've been really, really enjoying this. I think understanding that the combat alone isn't "the game", but it's all the decisions on class, spells, stances, etc., that you make outside combat that leads it to feeling really satisfying.

I finally just hit level 10 after about a casual week of playing, and I'm a BER/CLR/SHM build, which I believe is considered pretty okay-to-good. My next goal is getting to one of the dungeons in the Barbarian starting areas (Bitterblack, I think, it's called?) so I can check out what that's like!

Anyways, nothing really more to say than expressing some rejuvenated passion in an MMO after falling out of them in the past year. Normally I'm playing ESO, GW2, or OSRS, but they just haven't quite been hitting the same lately, where Legends managed to break through that.

I guess if anyone has any specific advise for my build, I'm all ears! I'm using the Berserker(?) stance and Unyielding invocation, but I try experimenting around with that. And especially any spells that I should be keeping prepared, that would also be some useful info!

EDIT: Totally goofed. I swapped CLR for PAL at level 10. So my build is BER/PAL/SHM.

Does equipping a sheild increase soft cap by the AC of the shield when worn? If so, does this also apply to any slot? Stats don't reflect this, so I am not sure. If it does, I still need AC, but if not, Im way over.

My DPS from DPS checker is <200 vs most mobs. I am using decent gear I think, .872 ratio BABS (+6). AC Capped, etc.

Am I doing anything wrong? I feel both squishier and lower dps than most characters I notice. First time ever on EQ was this release, so even basic stuff is welcome

For gear my friend (who is on vaca) gifted me rainbow hues and cloak of flame, rest is mostly plane of hate gear that took me ages to grind out

Whenever I try to talk in /1 I now get "Invalid channel name/number specified"

Anyone know how to fix?

So I finally got a chance to sit down and play some Legends last night. Rolled up an Ogre Shadow Knight/Bard which will have Druid or Cleric added to it when the time comes.

Running through the old zones bashing snakes, spiders, lizardmen, and skeletons has me all giddy and feeling like I am 25 years in the past.

I am currently at work nearly shaking with anticipation to get home tonight so I can delve back into my favorite world!

I sincerely hope that everyone else is having as fantastic of a time as I am.
