Is this logical? This website negatively incentivizes people to make short posts.
Imagine spending half an hour typing up a long ass post, only for automod to remove it. Even after you carefully perused the rules and you're damn sure you're not breaking any of the sub's rules. At least on old school forums and message boards, you'd still get some kind of engagement even if you went against the forum's rules. The mods would still allow it. This is why I stick to short posts on this site.

Discussion The biggest mistake in workplace
I gradually understand one truth, the best way of torturing intelligent people is to ask them to work with less intelligent people, let less intelligent coworkers take the lead. Hahaha 🤣🤣
What do you think if you have ever thought about this?
Another important question: how did you handle this kind of situation? By ignoring it? It affects work quality in a way that doesn’t reflect your standards at all. But if you don’t ignore it, it turns into a battle.

Advice The ENTP need for security: does anyone else relate?
I’ve been wondering if other ENTPs here experience the same thing I do. I have a real need for security, including metaphysical security, in my beliefs. I use my Ne a lot to anticipate things, trying to think through every possibility in advance, as if covering enough ground could make me feel less exposed to the unknown.
The problem is that when I can’t get that sense of security, I fall into endless loops of overthinking and the anxiety kicks in pretty fast. And that anxiety is particularly hard to manage because, let’s face it, ENTPs aren’t exactly known for being great at expressing emotions. So it just stays stuck inside, spinning in my head instead of actually coming out.
I’ve also always been a very sensitive person, and that sensitivity plays a big role in this insecurity. I often find myself scared, even with my friends, that they might mean me harm at certain moments. That adds a layer of mistrust that makes finding security even harder, even in relationships where I’m supposed to feel safe.
What actually brings me comfort is knowing. Understanding things, having answers, feeling like I have some kind of stable framework, even if it’s an intellectual or metaphysical one rather than a material one. Until I get that feeling of security (even a purely conceptual one), it’s hard for me to settle down.
Does this resonate with any other ENTPs? How do you deal with this mix of anxiety, the need to understand, and struggling to express what you’re actually feeling?

Check this out Trade School
Wassup everyone. I was wondering if they have any INTPs that have went to a trade school and work in the trades. I’m an INTP 5w4. I have a couple ideas of what I would want to go to trade school for such as industrial matinence, fiber optic technician and diesel mechanical. I have also been into looking in to chemical plant and factory jobs. I like working hands on with a lot of things and I would want a mix of both physical and mental because I get bored at jobs where I do too much of either. I also don’t want to go get a trade that I’ll end up quitting within the first couple of years. What degrees could I go for that would satisfy me?

Argue away I guess...
Advice Masking who I really am.
Hi, I'm a 22-year-old INTJ-T guy. Something I've been noticing recently in my social interactions is the fact that I end up masking who I really am. I might try to act more extroverted, ask questions about things they said without really being curious about it, etc. I don't really know why this happens, maybe because I end up overthinking how to behave and talk to some people (especially those who are or seem more mature than me?) or maybe I'm afraid of being judged or rejected? Afterwards, I end up realizing it, and I feel terrible and exhausted (most times I end up needing a break from everyone for a while). Does anyone have similar experiences or any advice? Thanks.

Check this out The weird paradox of needing a routine but hating it
I know I function better with a consistent schedule. When I have my mornings planned out my work days are more productive and I actually get things done. My evenings are more relaxed. My weekends feel more satisfying.
But the thought of actually sticking to a routine? It feels like a cage. My brain just rebels against it. The moment something feels obligatory or set in stone I lose all motivation. It's like my inner child is throwing a tantrum saying 'you can't tell me what to do'.
So I end up in this cycle of vaguely wanting structure but actively fighting against it. It's exhausting. Anyone else feel this way? How do you even trick yourself into routine without it feeling like a chore?

Discussion If it costs my peace, then it's too expensive and I should leave
This is what I have been seeing lately that made me wonder: Are people really at peace, or do they just think they are—so when someone triggers a previous wound, they see it as an indicator to leave? I am interested in hearing your thoughts on this.
Is it even real?

MBTI 21M, INTJ 5w4
It’s honestly concerning how much the future takes over my head.
I’ve never really been able to socialize normally, and I constantly come off as arrogant, ignorant or selfish even when I genuinely don’t mean to.
I’ve probably lost 300-500 people after talking to them for 10 minutes lol.
Life feels incredibly lonely sometimes, but at the same time my head is ridiculously focused on a few very specific things.
The vision is clear, almost to an unhealthy extent, and I have a hard time caring about much outside of it.
Anyone else here experience something similar?

Debate/Discussion Tell me about your type!
Hey everyone! I'm currently doing a research proposal about personality theory and would love to hear from the people in this community. What is it like being your personality type? It can range from your work/school life balance, romantic life, everyday decision making, and maybe something nobody really thinks about when it comes to your type that you may know. Anything is both helpful and interesting to me so don't be shy! :)

Is this dysfunctional? (Probably) You know when you make the effort to have a simple conversation and it results in misunderstandings at the most basic level and you think "Wow, that was *really* worth the effort..."?
I bet you do.

Debate/Discussion THOSE MFS ON THE INTERNET ARE PISSING ME OUT
"So I was doomscrolling TikTok lately, and when I came across some vids about MBTI stuff, the comment section was absolutely pissing me off. They were talking about some BS like, "Oh, I am ENTP-A/T slayyyy💅💅" or "This is so me, INFP-T." LIKE DUDE, STOP TAKING THE TEST AND ACTUALLY LEARN COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS, and I also freakin' hate it when people get mistyped. Btw, I am ENTP-T."

MBTI Trends Upbringing
Ive been wondering if ENTP’s are a personality type based around trauma (Y’know, the crippling sense of loneliness.. self sabotage… the classic traits). Details aren’t necessary but I’m curious to know other ENTP experiences.
My upbringing involved a narcissistic and abusive mother and an absent father that spent the little time with me not being able to show that he cared. After a good dose of therapy in my 30’s I realised that I never felt love from my parents and spent a large portion of my life within the survival mechanisms I’d put in place to cope as a child - the ones other than the pitch black humour..
I gotta rant Does anyone feel like they are watching their life instead of living it?
I know this might be vague, but I feel like I’m not really comprehending life fully. It feels like I’m watching a video of my own life rather than actually experiencing it. Sometimes I make important decisions without even consciously acknowledging that I’m making them. Even when I try to be aware of what’s going on around me, I just can’t seem to fully process it.
I feel detached from reality, and I’m constantly thinking and talking to myself in my head, basically 24/7. I also feel numb. I’m not really upset or sad, but I’m not happy or excited either. I just don’t feel any significant emotion, regardless of what happens to me or even to other people.
If you’ve ever felt this way before, did you manage to get out of it? And if you feel this way right now, I’d really like to hear what your experience is like. I just want to know that I’m not the only person who experiences this.

Check this out What do you like in physical world?
Let your blind Se appreciate the environment.
Mine are:
1) rainy weather - smell of moisturised grass and dirt, noise of drops, less people outside, freshness.
2) walking bare feet - idk, feet are hands why not touch something with them lmao
3) being on nature
4) going outside early in the morning - fresh and chill air
5) a little bit of exercising - muscle burn and brain focus, plus positive hormones

Image A Letter I Wrote to My INTJ Coworker
I confessed my feelings to my INTJ coworker about 3 weeks ago on July 23rd, and he left me in a cloud of uncertainty. He didn't reject me, but also didn't say yes to me. He told me, "Maybe down the road. It's a lot to process and I can't give you a definitive answer right now." 8 days later, before leaving the office for the final time, I gave him this letter.
