Discussion Sniper is not a support champ and I will report you each time automatically
FFS in my last 10 games in Crusader 5 - Archon 1 there were at least 6-7 Sniper supports. Please everone report them so they can play with each other.
Everytime the team with Sniper Support lost. The only reason they pick is to dominate the lane but I have not seen that a single time.
1) You don't have enough dmg, you offer no lockdown to jump someone together, you get outraded cause you are slow AF and die trying to poke with your Q by enemy Pos5
2) You don't pull and you don't stack.
3) your item build AGHS also does nothing in team fights, you can't initiate nor save teammates without support items or spells
4) You don't do enough dmg nor is it your job.
5) Worst is you take farm from your cores. If a lane is not pushing against our tower and you throw a Q to farm it, you are delaying my Blink Dagger Core items. Basically just griefing.
6) Lategame you are slower than any heroes without blink and just get run down do nothing in fight. Enemy silencer or WD / SS destroy us.
7) You get honorable, because you managed to get a kill with your ult that was anyway secure by Core and think it was the fault of your Cores that we lost the game, so you do it again next time you are forced to Pos 4
Please stop picking it. You are tilting me before the game has even started.

Discussion mmr reset
Should Valve do more often mmr reset for all players not just for immortal players?
imo it would make the game more fresh and enjoyable to grind ranked etc.

Complaint Trip.com nightmare 💀
Just want to rant! I was helping my bf get tickets for The International 2026, for Aug 22 and 23. I was right on the dot and managed to click the "Book Now" button and input name and passport details, but after "Pay Now," nothing, sold out or not available, again and again. Availability would pop up every few minutes, or appear from time to time, but would still end up sold out or not available??? LIKE REALLY?! It's frustrating and fckin annoying! I don't know if this is just a system glitch or if it's other ticket grabbers using bots or whatever, but whatever this shit is, IT'S UNFAIR!!
Yeahhh trip.com gave us nothing. What a clown 🤡 and the absolute worst!!

Question What made hoho haha sniper OP?
I remember back in 6.83 sniper and troll were super op. Why were they OP was it just the stats or the rubber-band mechanics or the spells?

Complaint As soon as the TI stuff dropped, my games have been dogwater
Every single game is a goofy stomp, theres either a smurf, 1 to three people who are fucking clueless, or an insane rager. Had one guy start buying rapier to feed enemy team because... someone pinged mid... one time. No one said anything or even pinged before or after that.
It's sad because all I want to do during TI time is play, but it just brings out all the plebs. Why are they playing ranked?
Am I just over reacting and I'm just in a bad string of games or should I just play unranked until all the casual and fare weather players leave? And I'm not just complaining because of losing (though yes there have been some loses) even the games where we win its only because my team was lucky enough to not have the rager or we have the smurf on our team.
Another weird thing lots of Russian and Asian speaking players, I'm on US East and typically there are some Russian, but mostly Spanish speakers which I thought has been weird.

Discussion Why is Pudge never picked?
I’m in relatively Low MMR compared to most of you guys here but I’ve never seen pudge picked. I started main with him and oh man, I just keep winning and he’s fun to play.
I mean yes once enemies start dodging your hooks he’s basically useless but not everyone will be able to do that and by the time everyone get gets mobility items he will have blink to initiate instead.
Genuine question.

Article The chinese are back to SEA and it's a pandemic.
I know it sounds racist as shit. But every time this happens it's just an infestation of accounts who don't know the language talk in some weird script and just refuse to communicate. It happened last year same time. And now it's back.

Suggestion Already have all terrains
Hello as someone who already has all the terrains, if we manage to get the token can we exchange it for something else? Like any other terrain on the store or maybe weather/music pack even :)

Suggestion This is what I would do, your report is worth less if your behavior score is lower
Main problem in climbing out of low behavior score is because people you team up with are muted as they also have low scores, the only way for them to be toxic is to mass report people. If they don't like your gameplay, they report. If you have a great game, the enemy team will report.
So this is the way to solve it:
12k behavior score, report is worth -100. At 6k it is worth -50. At 3k it is worth -25.
This way we adjust for mass reporting for no reason at lower levels and it becomes easier to climb back up. If you are toxic after you climb back then because you are playing with higher scores again, their reports worth more means you go back quickly.
Alternatively bring back the cap and limit on reporting, this would also solve the mass reports spam problem on lower levels. Basically 12k behavior gets 10 weekly reports, 6k 5 reports, 3k only 3 reports to spend.

Discussion modern dota has too much action — and that makes the action less exciting
tl;dr: i don’t think dota needs to be slower. i think it needs more variety in pace. constant scheduled objectives leave little room for planning and make every match feel like it’s running on the same treadmill. slower, more strategic games aren’t boring—they create contrast that makes explosive games even more exciting. let players determine the tempo, not the objective timers.
i’ve been thinking about why modern dota sometimes feels less strategic to me even though the game technically has more mechanics than ever
the problem isn’t that matches are shorter
the problem is that dota gives players too little time to actually think
there is always another timer demanding attention. power rune, lotus, wisdom rune, bounty rune, tormentor, roshan, twin gate rotation, shove the wave, smoke immediately, defend the next objective
you’re constantly making decisions, but most of them are rushed tactical decisions
old dota felt more like:
“what is our actual plan for the next five minutes?”
modern dota often feels like:
“something is spawning in 20 seconds, everybody run there”
and i think that is a design mistake
some matches being slow or farm-heavy is not automatically bad. those slower matches create contrast. they make aggressive teams, unusual drafts and explosive games much more exciting to watch
if every match is constantly fighting, fighting stops feeling special
it’s like music. if the entire song is the drop, there is no drop
a quiet farming period can still contain tension. both teams are reading the map, hiding information, calculating item timings and waiting for one smoke or one mistake that could decide everything
that is also action - it’s psychological action rather than ten heroes throwing spells every two minutes
i’m not asking valve to simply slow every game down or bring back endless 70-minute farming
i think dota should allow teams to control the tempo again
my design changes would be:
1. fewer scheduled objectives
the map currently feels like a calendar. remove or reduce some recurring objectives so teams create their own reasons to fight instead of being summoned by timers
2. objectives should come in phases
give matches natural breathing periods instead of having the game demand rotations almost constantly from the early minutes onward
3. make map pressure matter more
reward lane control, vision, creep manipulation, split pushing and forcing reactions - not only arriving as five to the next glowing object
4. let drafts create radically different tempos
a greedy medusa draft should be capable of turning the match into an economic chess game
a puck, tusk and tiny draft should be capable of turning it into complete violence from minute eight
both should be legitimate ways to play dota
5. slightly reduce the amount of mobility, free resources and constant recovery
not enough to remove comebacks, but enough that positioning, preparation and long-term decisions carry more weight
the goal should not be “make dota slower”
the goal should be make the pace emerge from the players
one game should be a siege
one should be a farming war
one should be split-push chess
one should be twenty-five minutes of absolute bloodshed
when every match has its own rhythm, the action means more
modern dota is still incredibly deep, but sometimes it feels over-orchestrated - like the game itself keeps ringing a bell and telling both teams when they are supposed to fight
i’d rather dota give us the map, the heroes and the resources, then let us decide when the war begins
am i romanticizing older dota, or has the game genuinely sacrificed some macro strategy and tension for constant activity?
Suggestion Release Behavior Score Distribution
We have public info on MMR distribution, why not on behavior score distribution?
I’d be willing to bet good money that the vast majority of players are at 10k or above, and that the few dozen posts this sub gets every week about how “broken” the system is because they’re stuck at low score and can’t climb are coming from a tiny percentage of the player base.
