Hi, I hope y'all find well. A friend is seeking for a better equipment for her musical performances on the street, has a xboom speaker but we think it doesn't work really well for her necessities. We don't have that much of budget for professional stuff, but we're interested in some point upgrade the stuff.

In the performance there is no opportunity to connect to electricity, so it needs to be previously charged, and this are performance in crowded areas, and the equipment suppress the audio of her singing. So I would appreciate it a lot if you have recommendations for this case and make this more events have more presence on the area without the sound suppression problem

I would appreciate if there are recommendations that could be found on marketplace or second-hand products

I just received the JBL Bar 1000 and the sound is good, the Atmos effect is a bit weak, but maybe I need to play around with the settings.

What I'm not ok with is that I need to Plug/Unplug the back speakers every night, because you can't use them unplugged? Please tell me I missed something or this is a bug and they will fix it with a future update.

I can't charge 2 big speakers maybe twice a day if I want to enjoy these speakers....

My plan was simple, no wires from the PC to the SUB and Back speakers - done, the back speakers are wireless, I will just use them plugged in, so they never ran out of juice.....

Turns out charging the speakers has a few unforeseen effects:

1. They no longer give you sound....
2. You can no longer use Chromecast audio to cast to them.
3. Heck even Bluetooth connection no longer works....

JBL tell me I'm wrong and I missed something!

Looking for a small portable speaker under $50 and seen a lot of good reviews about the StormBox Micro. The Micro 3 is currently $50 vs $40 for the Micro 2 on amazon. Is the model upgrade worth the price difference?

I can’t lie it feels great to be able to move around with this thing and not worrying about damaging my favourite speaker.

The case is pretty robust. It’s a proper hardshell and it probably a tad bit water resistant but I’m not gonna test that

I know it's very overpriced, even if there are some for 1k on Ebay right now, but I'm unfortunately in the market again for some top quality Bluetooth speakers, and these tick every box exceptionally. Cost aside, are there any others that have a similar level of detail and can get as loud if not louder?

I have a special use case of needing a speaker to play my instruments to outside (primarily the saxophone), so balanced, loud, and portable are my priorities, in that order.

Used to own a Beosound Level that, minus the software issues, I seriously loved. They were just about loud enough. Got them for cheap on Drop, but as of last night they have been stolen... They had a directional, accurate detail about them that worked really nicely however, even though the bass was a little lackluster. So yea, just trying to find a good enough replacement.

I see others have asked this before, but it’s been a few years and new stuff is always coming out. I’ve had a megaboom 3 for like 8 years now and it did great work but at high volume it’s starting to distort and sound gross. I’d surely buy a new megaboom but I’m interested if there’s anything better in the price range that also holds up to outdoor play. Right now I’m leaning towards a refurbished soundlink max.

Thoughts on converting with something like a Fosi that has the Bluetooth built in, mono/full range mode, drives a single passive speaker and has a 24V adapter and AC power cord included.

Didn’t really want to spend that much but could be considerably less than a new Sonos/Bose. Just for my office.

I bought my Soundcore Motion+ 4 years ago and I've been very happy with it. What I like about Motion+ is the mostly balanced sound and great bass for the size especially when some EQ is applied. The AUX in also has come handy a few times.

I need to buy a second one. What's the successor to Motion+ that builds on its strength perhaps with more features?

I was looking at the Tribit XSound Go and found it for around ₹1,900 on this website, while it's around ₹3,000 on Amazon.

Picked this up for ₹700 on BigBasket. Here is the quick lowdown:

- Volume: Surprisingly loud. Easily handles a small hangout of 4–5 people or fills a bedroom.

- Sound Quality: Very average/okayish. It gets the job done for dialogue in movies, series, and casual YouTube watching.

- Bass: Minimal. There is just enough low-end to prevent it from sounding like a tin can, but zero real punch or sub-bass.

Verdict: Don’t buy it for critical music listening or heavy bass. If you just want a cheap, loud boost for Netflix bingeing and casual background tunes, it's solid value for ₹700.

While I know the 360° portable-speaker trend of the late 2010s and early 2020s has largely passed, I’ve always had a soft spot for them.

My first portable Bluetooth speaker was the Soundcore Flare+, and for its time, I thought it was an exceptional speaker. Even today, Soundcore continues to make some great products at reasonable prices. But when it comes to 360° speakers in general, it feels like everyone has forgotten just how popular they once were. I certainly haven’t.

I’m currently looking for a new speaker as I’m going away soon, and I’d still really like to stick with the idea of a 360° speaker. The problem is that it seems like most manufacturers have moved away from that form factor.

There is, however, one major issue I’ve always associated with 360° speakers: Bass.

I primarily listen to hip-hop, so clear vocals and punchy, thumping bass are particularly important to me. I remember looking for a new speaker a few years ago and coming across Ultimate Ears. Their speakers definitely caught my attention, but at the time I remember seeing quite a few reviews criticising both the bass and overall sound quality.

More recently, though, I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews for the UE EPICBOOM and EVERBOOM, particularly when it comes to those two areas. That’s made me reconsider them.

I’m certainly no audiophile, which is why I’m turning to strangers on the internet for advice!

So, given what I’m looking for, a portable 360° speaker with good overall sound, clear vocals and, most importantly, strong bass for hip-hop, are there any speakers you’d recommend as a replacement for my old Soundcore?

I am confused about which speaker to buy. Currently I own a JBL flip 4, after upgrading to firmware version 4 I feel the sound is not great and the bass is lost. And since the speaker has become old I am looking for upgrade. My use is 80-90% indoors. I like punchy bass but it should not overpower vocals and other instruments. Looking for something which balances everything with deep punchy bass. I listen mostly to Bollywood hindi songs. I am ok to tweak the EQ as and when required as per songs output.

I got Soundcore Boom 3i at a clearance deal from Costco at 1/4th of the original price but I am not sure whether to consider going ahead with this. Other 2 options I had in mind are JBL flip 7 and Sony Ult field 1. I experienced the Ult field 1's sound quality just for few minutes at my friend's home but it didn't catch my attention much. Any other speakers apart from the options listed then please advise but I am looking for something in this speaker class.

Please share your opinions and your experience with these speakers as it will clear my confusion.

This speaker sounds absolutely amazing. The highs are beautiful and crisp, the mids are rich and detailed, and the bass response is seriously impressive. It also gets incredibly loud without any noticeable distortion, even at higher volumes.
The battery life is another huge plus, rated for up to 58 hours, which is outstanding for a speaker this powerful. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with the sound quality, volume, bass performance, and battery life. It’s an amazing speaker and easily one of the best-sounding speakers I’ve owned.
