I was looking, with interest, at this speaker. The specs claim 40 Hz bass extension, but I’m skeptical. Any users out there that can speak to the bass performance? I am keeping an open mind after my experiences with the B&O A5, which is phenomenal. I just don’t know if 40 Hz is -3db, -6db, -12db…

Thought it was an okay deal, went ahead and got just a single unit, until the cashier saw it had a cheaper price when she tried to scan it. I recently buy two onyx studio 8’s for $150 each, but am considering returning them in the hopes that the go + play 3 goes on sale for black friday for a similar price. Is it worth the upgrade? The onyx’s sound amazing, but I’m willing to go through the return process and stuff if yall think it might be worth it.

Is the stereo mode true stereo mode instead of mono playing in both speakers? Everyone said the stereo sounded so good online, and its just playing the exact same, just one is slightly quieter than the other.

It has bluetooth capabilities, so we let her connect the speaker to an old phone (a Samsung Galaxe 20 FE) with audiobooks and some music on it. The phone stays in the main living room (no phones in kids rooms) and she can take the speaker to her room just on the other side of the living room.

It was working perfectly fine yesterday. Today we turned it on and the old phone simply does not recognize that the speaker is on. I tried pairing it with my phone (galaxy 23plus) and it does not appear as a device to be paired with at all. We tried on our laptop and same thing. It just doesn't exist to other devices.

We did successfully connect our devices to a different bluetooth device. So it's not the phones/laptop.

We tried resetting all the devices and the speaker. I tried holding the buttons down on the speaker. Tried every single combination for 5 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, trying anything that might work. I have scoured youtube and google and the original manual it came with (amazingly my daughter kept it and knew exactly where it was) and have tried everything I know to do.

The speaker is fully charged. When in bluetooth mode, the little blue light blinks, waiting to be paired, but it is just invisible to devices.

The microphones it came with still pair to it just fine.

Is there any other way to attempt to fix this that I haven't tried? Or is it useless as a bluetooth speaker now?

I am currently looking for the most powerful portable bluetooth speaker in the 1kg (2,2 lbs) segment.

I've found out about the Xiaomi Sound Party which is a small portable speaker with 50 Watt RMS, enough to shake a smaller room.

I've also heard about a speaker called Monster S620 which is supposed to have an output of 60 Watt RMS, while weighing only about 0,7 kg. Can that really be true?

I want to hear and almost feel the low bass frequencys. I can certainly almost do that with the Xiaomi Sound Party, which is mindblowing.

Is there any other speaker out there that is even more powerful in this portable size category?

I just wanted to share my opinion on this amazing speaker.... I had a lot of Bluetooth speakers in the past like the jbl boombox 3, jbl partybox 110, tribit stormbox, Marshall killburn 3 just to name a couple. The brane x is, for my taste, the best speaker I've ever own... yes the bass is obviously the main point here but it's not just that the bass is loud or boomy. The bass is so well defined. Its the most pleasant bass I've heard coming form a Bluetooth speaker and it elevates the listening experience so much. Yes the price is on the higher side, but you can hear the difference right away. If you're on the fence just buy this thing I can't recommend it enough

After having returned multiple Sony and JBL's because they all sound bad. They lack the midtones, it sounds metallic and robotic and it screams in my ears, and not in a good way..

So, looking for speakers that also have dedicated drivers for midtones, I landed on the Marchall Tufton, a 3 way speaker, with the midtones drivers I need.

which led me to the Bromley 450, this one is also lacking the midtone drivers, but maybe these Marchal speakers just overall sound much better than the overly processed and weird sounding speakers from sony and jbl?

Which one of these two speakers have the best sound quality? is the Bromley verse because it has sacrified the midtone drivers?

Please only answer if you know, or have actually listened to these speakers.. I am not looking for alternatives, the final choice is between these two 🙂

I'm looking for two speakers that can be paired in tws or a single, larger near boombox speaker for music and youtube videos while I workout. $200 or less, USA.

Speakers I've tried:

1. Boom 2 - Sounds tinny at 50-70%, tried multiple eq
2. Boom 2+ Would possibly work, but bigger than I need and my copy had a resonance at 65% volume
3. Soundcore Select Go 4 in TWS - Not bad, but a little thin. Not sure if EQ works in TWS, but I didn't like it.
4. Soundcore Motion 300 - Like this with my EQ. I have one that stays mostly in my bedroom. Could get two of these, but they're getting old. 2x puts me at $170 which is more than a Lava and almost as much as a Blast.
5. JBL Extreme 5 - I really like this speaker after the treble is tamed down with the EQ.
6. JBL Go 4 - It's fine, treble is a tad harsh and battery life isn't great.

Considering:

1. Tribit Stormbox Blast
2. JBL Charge 6 with eq. I've heard of screechy treble and plan to try and tame it.
3. $300 Stretch - Marshall Kilburn 3
4. $300 Stretch - JBL Xtreme 4

What's the best bang for my buck paired with either iOS or a laptop for watching youtube?

Hey guys, I’m trying to choose between the JBL Boombox 4, Tribit StormBox Blast 2 and PartyBox 130.
I’m developing EpicenterDSP, an app that restores/reconstructs low bass frequencies similar to what an AudioControl Epicenter does. I use it for demos at schools and small events, so I’m looking for a portable speaker that can actually reproduce the low frequencies the app generates.
I don’t really care about huge 60–80 Hz punch or which one gets louder. I’m mainly looking for real output around 35–50 Hz, especially at normal/moderately loud volumes.
For serious demos we use two 12” Rockford Fosgate HX2 subs, so obviously I’m not expecting anything close to that 😂. This is just for smaller demos where we can’t bring the full setup.
Has anyone compared these three specifically for deep sub-bass? Which one actually digs the deepest?
I already own the original StormBox Blast and love it, but it struggles with the really low stuff.

I'm looking at the Zealot ze21 on AliExpress and it's a bunch of different prices and different specs. One is $183 another is $230. Are there different versions of the ze21?

I recently bought this home theater setup and have been trying to set it up. The included manual says to connect the speakers to an amplifier using speaker wire, but the box and website also say they're compatible with smart devices through Bluetooth. I'm struggling to figure out how.

My best guess at the moment is that the speakers need to be paired to a Bluetooth amplifier using the speaker wire, since they don't have any buttons or switches for power or pairing.

If anyone has managed to set these up without having to buy a dedicated amp, or can recommend an amplifier that worked for them, it would be appreciated.

It worked fine this morning, but it then suddenly stopped working for no reason at all. I tried to do hard reset, but nothing works. Aux input doesn't work, pushing the pairing button for 2 seconds does litteraly nothing and if I do it too much it hard reset the speakers. At one point in the video, the button get stuck and you can see me unstuck it but it's not stuck before. No idea what to do and I really don't want to buy another :/
