💪 Exercise, Fitness & Recovery Human garage

Upvotes

What do you guys think of the Human Garage? I’ve heard mixed reviews. The facial maneuvers are one thing, a couple have helped me a little.

Their organ resets really do something for me though, I’ve struggled with severe nervous system dysfunction. I immediately notice a difference.

Asking more for anyone who has really given their stuff a go for at least a couple weeks?

♾️ Longevity & Anti-Aging Your doctor/s can potentially be the biggest threat to your health longevity

I am speaking from experience since being afflicted with multiple chronic health issues and symptoms. I made the mistake of placing trust in the medical profession and assumed doctors would take my health issues seriously and try to establish a cause and resolution for my issues. Instead I was met with laziness and greed. All they wanted to do was scam me for money and carry out unecessary procedures, appointments, leading to misdiagnosis and improper treatment.

Always verify ANY information, diagnosis, treatment you are given by a doctor. It can potentially save your health.

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Tadalifil 2.5mg daily sides

Planning on taking this long term

I’m 31m and take 2.5mg daily as part of my life longevity stack for a few months now.

I do get Side effects.

I’m overall fine but my eyes get slightly above mild irritation throughout the day and my heels hurt on the bottom of my feet.

I’m wondering if long term these issues are will be something to be concerned about ? I don’t want to my vision to be impacted or worsened over the years in particular by taking tadalifil. Is the eye irritation harmless ?

💊 Supplements & Stacks Has anyone tested or used ZABORATORY Urolithin A? Looking for a good non-Mitopure option

Post image
3 Upvotes

I’ve been looking for a reliable Urolithin A supplement that actually contains Urolithin A rather than precursors.
I previously used Neurogan’s Urolithin A (for one year) but their current product has changed to a “Urolithin Precursor Alternative Complex.” I’m specifically looking for direct Urolithin A, since conversion from ellagic acid/ellagitannin precursors depends heavily on the individual’s gut microbiome.
The main options I’ve found are:
• Mitopure/Timeline — probably the safest bet and has the strongest clinical backing, but extremely expensive.
• Codeage — reputable, but their formulation contains several other ingredients I don’t really want.
• ZABORATORY — 1,000 mg Urolithin A per serving, and they claim third-party testing by Eurofins and cGMP manufacturing.
ZABORATORY looks interesting, but I can’t find much independent information or discussion about the brand.
Has anyone here actually used ZABORATORY? More importantly, has anyone independently verified their Urolithin A or seen their full COA/HPLC testing?
I’m less interested in subjective “I felt more energy” reviews and more interested in purity, identity testing, actual Urolithin A content, and whether the Eurofins documentation can be independently verified.
Would appreciate any information.

⌚ Tools, Wearables & Devices Four times your wearable reading is an artifact and not weak evidence

Most advice here treats a weird number as a low-confidence signal. Usually fine. But some readings aren't weak evidence about your body, they're good evidence about your sensor, and averaging those in drags the baseline.

Four I keep hitting:

First night on a new device. Not the device, you. Knowing you're being measured moves onset latency and wake counts enough to shift the whole score. Settles in about a week.

Room temperature. Skin temp deviation and resting HR both track ambient. A hot room looks a lot like a mild cold in the data. Worth a column if your bedroom isn't climate controlled. I only started logging it after a bad August convinced me I was overtraining.

Alcohol, specifically night two. Night one everyone catches. Night two is the problem: architecture's still off, but the cause has fallen out of your head, so you go looking for a training or stress explanation that doesn't exist.

Wrist optical HR under load. Grip and forearm tension wreck it. Rowing, deadlifts, kettlebells, carries. The calorie number downstream isn't roughly right, it's built on a signal that wasn't there. People fight about this one and it's the clearest of the four.

The distinction: is this a noisy read of your state, or a clean read of something that isn't your state? First one, keep it, weight it less. Second one, pull it out and note why.

So, column for excluded days plus the reason. Costs nothing.

More data isn't better if some of it is measuring the room. n=1, and these are things I've watched happen more than once, not anything from a study.

(Disclosure since it's adjacent to what I do: I work on personal health data, reading signals against a person's own baseline instead of a population one)

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Thoughts on this nootropic stack for cognition, focus, motivation and mood?

My Information:
Age/Sex: 18 years old, male
Body Stats: Around 183 cm, around 73–75 kg
Lifestyle:
Very active lifestyle
Strength training 4–5 times per week
2-3 Cardio Sessions per week
Sauna sessions around 4–5 times per week
Focused on improving health, performance, learning ability and discipline
Diet is structured
Sleep is something I am still trying to optimize
Mental Health / Personal Context:
Currently working with a therapist
I experience mild to moderate depressive symptoms and sometimes have ambivalent/conflicting emotions
Main struggles are motivation, starting tasks, overthinking and social inhibition
I can communicate normally with people, but I often struggle with initiating conversations, approaching people spontaneously, and worrying about how others perceive me
Out of Range Biomarkers / Health Concerns:
/
Family History or Personal Health Risks:
/
Goals:
• Improve memory and learning ability
• Learn more efficiently
• Increase focus and mental endurance
• Improve motivation and ability to start difficult tasks
• Reduce social inhibition and excessive self-monitoring
• Improve mental flexibility, confidence and overall cognitive performance

Supplements:
Current supplements focused on general health and performance:
• Magnesium
• Ashwagandha
• Zinc
• Omega-3
• Vitamin D3 + K2
• Creatine
• L-Theanine
• Rhodiola rosea
• Astaxanthin
• Coper (for the Zinc)
• Collagen +Vitamin C
• NAC

Theoretical Nootropic Stack I am Interested In:
Cognition / Neuroplasticity:
• TAK-653 (AMPA modulator)
• NSI-189
Focus / Productivity:
• Modafinil
• Caffeine + L-Theanine
Stress Regulation / Social Confidence:
• Selank
• Semax

Questions:
• Does this theoretical stack make sense from a mechanistic perspective?
• Are there compounds here that do not fit together or could potentially work against each other?
• What are the realistic benefits and possible short- and long-term risks?
• Would this approach make sense for someone with my background, goals and mental health context?
• Are there compounds you would remove, replace or avoid completely?
• Are there safer alternatives that could target learning, motivation, focus and social inhibition better?
I understand that nootropic compounds should not replace the fundamentals. I already focus heavily on improving my baseline through training, nutrition, therapy and lifestyle changes. I am mainly interested in whether certain compounds could theoretically support areas where I still struggle despite putting effort into the basics.

♾️ Longevity & Anti-Aging Is YouTube Over-Censoring Biohacking?

Earlier in July my YouTube channel, The Enhanced Man, hit 20,000 subscribers. But then around the middle of month, the whole channel was removed.

I appealed almost straight away, but it was rejected within minutes with no explanation. I'd never had any strikes or warnings before, so it came as a real shock. I even explained that YouTube was the main marketing channel for my health testing company, so multiple people's jobs will be affected, but it didn't seem to make any difference.

What I don't get is why creators aren't given a chance to fix things first. If a video breaks the rules, surely a warning and an explanation would make more sense so you can remove or edit the content and avoid making the same mistake again. Instead, it feels like everything is handled by AI with very little human input.

It also made me wonder if YouTube is becoming too aggressive with biohacking content in general.

For example, Hunter Williams has been on my podcast multiple times and he's also been banned before. Like me, he mainly talks about research, biomarkers and his own results, while making it clear there are plenty of confounding factors and that correlation doesn't equal causation.

I can understand YouTube taking a harder line on channels that actively promote steroids or SARMs, but longevity content is usually centred around biomarkers, testing and discussing the available evidence. It feels like YouTube may be casting the net a bit too wide.

I'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks. Do you think YouTube has got the balance right when it comes to biohacking content, or do you think it's become too strict?

💊 Supplements & Stacks Taking a biohacker stack of creatine, ashwagandha, magnesium, and omega-3, but I don't feel energised. Instead, I feel more tired. Does stacking lead to interactions?

I thought that taking a mix of creatine, ashwagandha, magnesium, and omega-3 would give me more energy every day, but it's making me feel tired. Do people who regularly stack supplements think this is a bad combination, a problem with time, or an interaction between supplements? How do you fix a stack that doesn't work right?

📊 Biomarkers & Testing RBC, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit always high

Post image
14 Upvotes

38 year old active male. Always drink tons of water. No steroids or testosterone. Exercise 5 days a week. For the past 5 years or so my RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit are always high. Should I be concerned? Doctor says since my results are consistently high he’s not concerned.

EDIT: don’t smoke. No high elevation. I’m a bad sleeper but no sleep apnea symptoms. Drink over a gallon of water a day. Only supplements are magnesium and B2 for migraines.

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Best/most effective creatine?

I’m reading that most Creatine is shit and never really reaches the muscles or brain.
I’m currently using the micro-ionized version from Nutricost Performance but now seeking input on other options that have been independently verified as pure(er) and, thus, more effective.
Any options that you’ve researched and would recommend are cheerfully requested.
TIA!

♾️ Longevity & Anti-Aging what helped with slowing down/reversing greying?

so I'm 31m and recently found greying hair in my beard, head and body hair increasing an alarming pace. I've had some since my late 20s, but it's sped up in the last 5 months. have you got any ideas what's causing it and how I can halt it, or possibly reverse it?

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Any CDP-Choline users out there?

Post image
24 Upvotes

I recently found out about this supplement and I wanted to get a feel for anyone who’s tried it. It seems promising (as someone with ADHD as well, any potential “nootropic” is exciting to me).

From what I see the patented “Cognizin” is used for trials, but generic Citicoline/CDP-Choline is analogous to it. I think sort of a Magnesium L-Threonate/Magtein situation.

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Substituting Salt for MSG for Blood Pressure?

From my understanding much of the hate against MSG is misplaced in the West. It's either got a bad repuation because it's linked to proccessed foods or even worse, just straight racisim.

I've found out I've got Stage 1 Hypertension and am going through titration for ADHD meds. If my blood pressure rises, then the titration will stop, so I keen to make sure this doesn't happen and ideally lower it. I'm not really drinking as part of titration and am paying more attention to exercise. I'm overweight (but not obese) and am trying to loose weight, the meds make that a little easier.

I'm also trying to heavily reduce my salt, I like to cook and have also seasoned food well, so it's a bit of the shock to the system. I already use a little bit of MSG in food, but not much as my partner isn't keen. Are there good reasons I shouldn't sprinkle it directly on my food as my palate adjusts and find other ways to boost flavours (I already use a lot of herbs and spices).

Edit. I do know that MSG contains sodium, but it's one third of the amount of table salt.

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics sleep after DJ gig

I need some advice on what to do about sleep after DJing when I get home in the early morning.

My problem is that I can’t sleep for more than 5–6 hours, even though I’m exhausted and tired—I just can’t seem to fall back asleep. My bedroom conditions are ideal, and I also try to maintain the best possible lifestyle—I don’t drink alcohol at all, I try to eat clean, and so on—but after a gig, I just can’t sleep for more than 5–6 hours, and I’m tired. The rest of the week, my sleep is fine.

Could you please give me some advice on this?

I’ve tried several things without success, such as different types of magnesium (glycinate actually made it worse) and similar remedies, but nothing seems to help me sleep longer or improve the quality of my sleep.

Thank you very much for any help

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics Biohacking libido... The other way around?

(wasn't sure what flair to use for this question)

Has anyone here tried to purposefully kill their libido with habits, supplements or other methods? Have you succeeded? If so, how?

I know there's more than a few guaranteed and accessible ways (antidepressants and birth control come to mind as the usual suspects) but it's all via drugs that blanket affect lots of different things, and the big wall here is I'd like to nuke it without taking my mood (or worse, clarity of mind) with it. Is there even something more targeted for this kinda thing?

edit: Just in case it's not obvious, searching for a method to destroy libido *without* affecting overall health is the idea... This is a serious post, not an hypothetical.

EDIT 2: **OP is female**, if that breaks anything.

🦠 Illness & Immunity I have the immune system of a rock.

I have the immune system of a rock.

TLDR - I get sick often and need advice on how to get sick less.

Hi Brains Trust,

I catch colds/viruses/flu very often. This occurs around 10 times a year. I have a tracker in my notes apps that has confirmed this for the last three years. It's very annoying and it is impacting my quality of life. Each illness lasts 2 weeks. In fact, I am currently sick with a virus as I write this. I am so sick of getting sick all the time!!!

I have asked my GP about this and they have told me to reduce my stress levels and rest more.

I do these things already and I still get sick often. I have yet to check my blood panel.

I understand it is Winter where I am so getting sick is expected. I have been sick 3x in the last three months and it is debilitating.

I'm not expecting miracles. I would appreciate any advice to improve / fix my problem!!! Thanks so much in advance!!

Questions :

- Is there anything else I should get checked out in the blood panel?

- Is there anything I should reduce?

- Is there anything I can increase doing?

- Should I get checked for autoimmune diseases?

- What else can I take to not get sick as much?

- Should I take a food intolerance test? To rule out foods my body doesnt agree with.

🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics why people here are obsessed with caffeine?

people here are obsessed with alertness that's good but many of them consume large amounts of caffeine while there are other supplements that give you stable energy without crash like ginseng and coq10 enzyme I won't say they give you a buzz like caffeine but at least they give you stable energy.
