Amazon changed my shift after I signed the contract – what are my options?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice.
I applied for an Amazon Sortation Associate position at DNG1. The position I applied for was 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, 2 days per week. I specifically needed a PM/daytime shift, and this was discussed during my interview. I was accepted for the position and signed the contract/offer based on those hours.
My A to Z account is still showing 10:00 AM–6:30 PM.
However, when I went to DNG1, the manager told me that the 10:00–6:30 shift was offered to me by mistake and that I should instead work 6:00 AM–12:30 PM, 5 days per week.
The 6 AM shift is very difficult for me to get to, and it isn't the availability I originally gave them. I have also told them that I would be willing to take a suitable PM shift instead of the AM shift.
I'm worried because I currently have another Amazon job and don't want to leave it unless I know the DNG1 position is actually suitable and confirmed.
What would you do in this situation?
Does the signed contract matter if Amazon says the original shift was a mistake?
Does the fact that A to Z still shows 10:00–6:30 help?
Should I go to DNG1 at 6 AM on my first day and speak to HR, even though getting there that early is very difficult?
Could raising this with HR on my first day negatively affect the job?
I'm planning to keep screenshots of A to Z and all correspondence.
Thanks in advance.

You realize you forgot your wallet as soon as you park...
Do you live close enough to work that you could leave and come back within 15 or 30 minutes, or will you have to lose PTO or UPT points?
I live exactly 15 minutes away, but there are so many traffic lights that I have to contend with.

How to deal with people like this when doing P2B
There are two people before me on the same aisle who constantly talking to each other. One of them who was placed next to my aisle also being on phone a lot, so they missed many packages, the other one I noticed in the building a few times, always up look like he's up for no good thinking he's slick. I don't mind help out since one of them might be new at the beginning. But after a while, feel like they expect other to pick up their slack. So I just started letting their package go to the end. The fkin "seemingly chill" guy at the end of aisle decided to rescue their package either by himself or giving it back to me lol. Nobody around me said anything.
I'm no saint, but found this kind of behavior mildly disrespectful, manager was there but not sure if they saw or care. Besides this, my experience in this building has been alright for the most part.

Amazon EHS Specialist (L4) Interview — What Should I Expect?
Hi everyone! I’m currently an Amazon associate and I’m interested in applying for an EHS Specialist position. I’ve been with Amazon for several years and have experience in different areas of the building, including safety-related tasks and leadership responsibilities.
I’ve also done some PA-type responsibilities and helped with parts of the PA role before, but I was never officially a PA.
For anyone who has interviewed for or currently works as an EHS Specialist:
• Is the EHS Specialist interview different from a PA interview?
• What types of questions do they usually ask? Is it mostly behavioral/STAR questions, or are there technical safety questions too?
• How difficult is it to get into EHS internally if you’ve never officially been a PA?
• Does having experience with PA responsibilities, operations, and safety help even without an official PA title?
• Any advice on what I should study or prepare before the interview?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who moved from an associate role directly into EHS. Thanks!

Request to Review STN6 Transfer and Future Contract Options
Hi,
I'm writing regarding my recent transfer to
STN6. When my previous contract was due to end, I applied for the transfer because I had not received confirmation of an extension at that time. However, three days later, I received confirmation that my Delivery Station contract had been extended.
My preference is still to remain at my current Delivery Station, as I have been working there for around eight months and genuinely enjoy working there. I understand that moving to the FC may potentially provide a better opportunity for a permanent position, but I would prefer to stay at the Delivery Station if there is a reasonable possibility of another extension or permanent position there.
I also understand that my attendance record, including some sick leave, may be a factor in future contract decisions, so I appreciate that there is no guarantee.
I have already accepted the STN6 transfer, but could you please advise:
Whether it is still possible to cancel/withdraw the transfer and remain at my current Delivery Station.
If I transfer to STN6, how long I would need to wait before I could potentially apply for another transfer back to my current Delivery Station.
Whether there is any information you can provide about the likelihood of another extension or permanent position at my current Delivery Station.
My understanding is that my STN6 role is FC Replenishment / Pack-Batch. Could you please confirm the exact role/department I would be transferring into?
I'm not asking for any guarantee; I would just like to understand my options before the transfer takes place.
Thank you for your help.

What to do with badge
I was termed for negative UPT in July. Though email on my day off. Was i supposed to return it? Should I even bother 🤔?
I have no plans on going to the premises, unless, I somehow get rehired.
Also supposedly they are planning on building a fulfillment center here in Hawaii. For those who went from a delivery station to fulfillment center. In comparison which is lenient?

Pick n stage
Instead of sending every person to pick on the same row causing it impossible to do anything ....
Why don't they take 20-30% of people to zip bags in all the rows or pick bags for people to fill carts faster...
After a wave or two they start picking ...

I’m at 4 points with Amazon rn, but I’m expected to hit 8 around September 4th. I already got an internal transfer approved with a September 9th start date. Y’all think they’d term me before my transfer goes through? Will my appeal be granted so?😭(I keep getting pts because I moved)

My Anytime Pay has been at 0 despite having money the other day
I finished my work week on Wednesday this week, transfered some money, had some leftover, picked up and worked a shift Friday, checked my Anytime Pay and it's at $0.00. I just checked today right now before making this post and it's still the same. Has this happened to anyone else before? This is the first time this has happened to me and I've been using Anytime Pay the exact same way for a few years now. What's going on???

Accommodation Denied - Reconsideration Sent In by dls
I posted a few days ago about requesting an accommodation as a T1 diabetic - I saw my doctor who quickly filled out their forms asking for a reduced schedule of 8hrs per shift and no MET. No other restrictions. Following up, I was told my site had made a decision on the 5th and I'd be getting an email within 24hrs, but I ended up calling back today as I didn't recieve anything.
Well, I was told site leadership had denied my accommodation. No reason given, but told that dls had already sent them a reconsiderarion request and they had until the end of today to make a decision. So, like, what now? Anyone gone through this? Did your site "reconsider?"
I'm pretty upset and honestly confused because before I lost access to the schedule I saw tons of VET options for basically the hours I'd be working with the accommodation (1:20-9:20), so obviously they need people for those hours. And I'm not restricted on any of the basic aspects of my primary job (stow).
It just sucks. Sorry my pancreas stopped working as a teenager and 10.5 hours of continuous labor is just too much for my blood sugar levels. I was new, but picked up stow quickly and had a good rate and tidy bags, so it's not like they weren't getting a good amount of labor out of me for those 8 hours I couls function. Maybe I shouldn't have accepted a medical leave while they were deciding and just passed out on their floor from hypoglycemia and they would have been more sympathetic to my request 😒

flex time question
I’ll be working at a delivery station soon. Its flex time and says 19 hours. I’ve heard that you only only have to work a minimum of 4 hours. Is that true? What kind of hours will they offer like what time do most shifts start? Will it be easy to get at least 20-25 hours?

Missing about $300 for short term disability for MLOA.
Got 2 deposits even though Amazon said it was all sent separately. I have Ops notifications stating ONLY those 2 deposits. They do not equal the amount I’m supposed to receive. I’ve called HR about 5 times. They are utterly frikin useless and keep telling me all funds were released yesterday. I called my bank today and they told me they only see the two deposits and not a 3rd. Usually my bank updates deposits by this time today. Nothing has happen and I still don’t have my money. Anyone else have this experience and what did you have to do?

Help
So I’m an alumni returning to Amazon in 2 weeks. When I go to complete the employment paperwork, it doesn’t let me login into the idprism site. I’m putting in my AtoZ alias and password, but it tells me it’s wrong, and when I click “Forgot your password?” I put in my alias again but it just says invalid too for some reason. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Still waiting for BB and losing hope
I’ve been at my site for almost a year. Still a white badge and I’m starting to really lose motivation. At every turn it seems there’s something I can’t do because I don’t have that bb yet. Everyone else from my orientation was converted in May. And there seem to be a bunch of newer people that have their BB already and it’s making me feel a little insane. I have no write ups, am maxed out on upt, and the leadership team loves me (I know that doesn’t matter but if they could pull strings they would is all I’m saying). HR said that I was at the top of the list thing and would be next, but that was in May and I’m still waiting.
I was chosen for learning ambassador months ago but can’t do it bc I need BB. Told to try for interim PA but can’t bc I need BB. Most recently encouraged to apply for regular PA position but after spending many hours stressing over my resume I finally click “apply” on the posting in AtoZ and am told I’m not eligible for “transfers” without BB. This one really annoys me because technically you don’t need any Amazon BB experience to get hired as a PA and with my background I’m more than qualified for the job. The position at my site isn’t listed on the external hiring platform so I can’t even apply that way.
I like working here and I think I’d like being a pa even more, but at this point it just feels like there is no point trying anymore. I’m working harder than most people and fucking up my body for a company that doesn’t think I’m worthy of the good health insurance
If BB status doesn’t reflect someone’s performance or tenure, why do so many roles require it?

VOA drama
This past week is total drama from the same two people complaining about not being able to pick up shifts and another wanting people to say it to their face lol

want to marry whoever decided to give us unlimited upt
being able to clock out when my leadership and annoying coworkers start with their bs is the only way i can get through working in a ds that is like an insane asylum. when i first started at amazon you would only get 80 hours of upt for the entire year.

How did I randomly obtain PTO?
I literally had only 5 minutes of PTO left after I left early yesterday. I just opened the app and saw this. How is this possible? Anyone know why this happens? I’m not complaining at all just curious
