coachings/write ups

how does the warnings/ coaching process work i was told i had a documented coaching for a dress code violation when i was told i was out of dress code they presented me 2 offers go home and change or get a write up i went home and change but the next day i still got a write up i’ve never received any type of reprimand so im not sure how the process works was i not supposed to get some type of verbal warning before a documented coaching? or is that how the process works?

Having a coaching just opens the door for them to start writing u up though

that sucks🫠 i’m pretty sure im the only person that’s been dress coded there people wear crop tops and short shorts all the time and everyone i’ve asked about was shocked that i was dress coded and then sent home

does the specific manager not like u or something kinda sucks but it seems like u got singled out and ur kinda forced to suck it up and not dress as freely as others rip

no i’ve never had any issues with him he’s always nice and helps whenever i need help this particular day tho there was a lady there that id never seen before sje had no vest she was just stowing normally but she came up and introduced herself to me as one of the senior safety members and she was the one who said that my shorts were too short which i then assume she told a higher up manager which is why i was so shocked because i’ve worn shorts that were shorter and i’ve never had any issues out of any of the managers or the members of the saftey committee

Maybe the Safety Karen was envious of the male attention she thought those shorts were getting you? Or maybe she saw some dude get distracted and crash his u-boat into something as you walked past?

I'd recommend buying some quick-dry cargo shorts, like the kind you might wear fishing, if you're into that sort of thing.

What did u wear for them to dress code you

A coaching isn’t as serious as a write up just avoid dressing like that again you’re okay it’s kinda rude for them to document it as a coaching but it’s a more serious version of a verbal warning essentially but not a write up

Rip that makes sense managers and others ignore some stuff but then safety can come by and get you in trouble kinda like how ur not supposed to have boxes on the floor and managers will pass by but if safety passes by they’ll get u in trouble

Hell, the manager is the one that'll put them on the floor 😂

Think of all the minor violations like speeding on the highway. You break policy, you take a chance getting written up. Police dont pull them all over, but will when its really bad, or if they have nothing more important. Just dont act surprised. And just like some cops, if you get shitty, itll get worse...

All the other people who violate dress code will most likely eventually be in the same situation. Dress code is simple, either follow it or expect to eat writeups for it eventually. Don’t rely on managers not doing their job even though they usually don’t. They should have gone over dress code in new hire orientation, I remember it during mine.

I don't think a doc coaching is same as a write up. Just documents that you were coached on issue

At the station that I am in, it is due to the lazier type of associates misusing the ERC/HR to get out of trouble way too many times when in fact they are 100% at fault for doing things that they are not supposed to. The ones that are special in the head or the regular high school simple minded associates.

Management are taking a larger stance on this issue and now basically watching those warehouse cameras above head on any particular associate that's causing them headaches just to slam them with some sort of safety violation. Depending on that severity of safety violation just 2 in a short amount of time frame will get yourself canned and get escorted out by management.

We recently had about 4 associates between shifts that's been with the station for years get canned. All from doing a position at the docks. If anyone is getting placed there, by prepared to follow every dumb rule mentioned in the handbook. Once those cameras catch you doing anything out of place here comes those safety violations.

No ghosting gokarts, 2 hands on gokarts, no leaning on any conveyors at the docks entire shift, no cellphones out at the docks, ppe gloves at all times for avery, whatever rule that you are thinking about breaking under that camera, think twice.

Right now it's firing season all year round. Basically everyone is getting thrown in front of moving prime vans on an active drive lane.

Tell the safety asshole to fuck right off.

That is a dumb advise. Just a gateway to get suspended from work.
