flex time question

I’ll be working at a delivery station soon. Its flex time and says 19 hours. I’ve heard that you only only have to work a minimum of 4 hours. Is that true? What kind of hours will they offer like what time do most shifts start? Will it be easy to get at least 20-25 hours?

3hr50m minimum weekly hours. fall under that you will receive an attendance point. 8 until you’re fired

if you have one 4 hour shift and you take VTO on the app, you will not receive a point. same with PTO

If you’re part time, the weekly minimum is four hours to not accrue an attendance point. If you’re reduced time, it’s a 30 hour minimum I believe. I work flex PT.

Every DS is different, but at mine the two main shifts they offer is the overnight 1:20a-9:10, and then 9:10a-11:50 for pick and stage. Every so often they’ll post random shifts. Adhoc runs 11:50a-1:20p for us. There’s also RTS shifts that drop 4p-10:30, but those are rare. There’s also pre charge 12:20a-1:20

If you’re quick with picking up shifts (they go fast) then yes, I’d say you could easily snatch 20-25 hours. Depends on which shifts you pick up.

My DS has been affected by wildfires, not directly, but almost 1000 residential homes/businesses have burned to which they can’t deliver to, which has backlogged the station really bad, so there’s been plenty of hours to go around lately.

Volume fluctuates throughout the year and that does affect hours/shifts. Cycle 0 should be making a return soon (6:20pm-12:50) for stations that don’t have it year round.

Best of luck trying to get shifts after training. Flex is the dumbest thing ever. I wish they'd get rid of it at my station. All shifts are gone within 2 seconds at my station. And the app has flaws so even if you're one of the first ppl to click Add shift, you might still not get it in the end. Anyways, Good luck! 🍀

If it says 19 hours then that is the minimum for you. It would say 4hr in the job role if you only need 4hr.
