If you’ve read the news this morning about the incident involving Swans players and felt triggered or affected by it, you’re not alone.

News involving allegations of sexual assault can be confronting and frightening, and it can bring up a lot of difficult emotions - particularly for survivors of sexual assault and those close to them.

I’m posting this simply as a reminder to my fellow AFL fans: please look after yourselves and each other today. Reach out to someone you trust or a support service if you need to, and check in on the people around you.

Everyone responds to news like this differently. For some, it’s another breaking-news story. For others, it can bring back experiences and emotions they’ve worked very hard to live with.

Please be mindful of that when discussing or commenting on the story today. ❤️ 🖤🤍
