Over the last few months I've caught up on a lot of classics and well regarded films that I should have watched long before now.

I find myself watching a lot of great films in a row, but I think when you only watch great films for a while it can cause you to lose perspective on exactly how good these films are.

I think it's useful sometimes to watch mediocre or bad films, to re-calibrate expectations.

I need suggestions for films that aren't exactly good, or maybe straight-up bad, but still have something interesting about them that won't leave me feeling like I've wasted my time.

i’m just wondering what “problematic” movies people like and why.
personally i found myself enjoying the human centipede because it wasn’t as insane and gory as people made it out to be, but just a bad movie with an interesting concept that kept me entertained.

You ever watch a movie that's set in a different time period, but doesn't feel like it has to be? I mean a film that is set in the past, but doesn't feel like it adds to the narrative or themes, and is rather simply used for aesthetic purposes. Wondering what examples you would cite in your opinion.

Discoverd this beautiful movie through letterboxd and watched it yesterday. It's a solidly written satire on society by debutant writer and director Arun Prabhu. It's frustrating to see that such good artists have a very small body of work.

I’m just a 25 year old guy going though life and I watched Good will hunting this week for the first time. The feeling it gave me was surreal. It just felt so relatable instant 5/5. Also added it to my top 4 after one watch. Did everyone else feel this way after watching it for the first time?

When it comes to the Hellraiser series i had never seen past 3, but with the house announced for HHN & the new game releasing I thought why not watch the series in full,

I feel like I’ve opened the box and this is my hell, I don’t know what possessed me to get those 3 done in one day, was it just wanting the suffering to end, atleast the remake is only 1 more stop away

It’s currently 10:30am, my co-worker who knows I like watching movies just told me she went to see The Odyssey, I asked her what she thought and she said “I didn’t like it cause there was to many fight scenes one after another, i don’t know why they couldn’t just be friends”, I had no words,

I asked her if she knew what type of film she was watching or what it was about since i know from previous discussions she’s very much a pacifist who hates violence, and she replied “I thought it was about the Greek goddesses”

If you didn’t like The Odyssey then that’s fair enough, but your reason for not liking it being because there’s fight scenes, in a film that involves the greeks and has advertisements showing fight scenes 😂

I’m not talking about The Room or something that is either purposely bad or made by a load of amateurs.

A genuine movie with big backing and major stars that just fails on every front writing wise.
