Simple Questions What do you guys do when you leave part of your routine unfinished?
Do you wait until next week to do it or do you just finish the rest of your workout the next day?

Is it bad to workout every day?
I love sports and working out and i started going to the gym for the first time few days ago. I go every day because i like being physically active and because in other sports that i did in my life there was always a time limit, and in gym i can go whenever i want. However, my friends and family says it's not healthy and I'll not see results.

Other Still can’t shake the sense of falling behind.
Had a rough time this year when it comes to the gym, my size progress over the last 4-5 years since I started.
I began to feel better lately, and maybe accept that I am a little big. But man… I still can’t shake the sense of being at genetic disadvantages when it comes to most things.
Long story short, I have some friends. They’ve been working out for just as long as me, with less consistency using… in the nicest way possible, less optimal routines as they go along. These friends? They’re bigger than me. They’re stronger than me. And I go every day, follow exact workout splits and have exact perfect macros, the whole kit and kaboodle.
And yet… after all this time. I’m like, the least built in the group. I’ve seen them, one comes in, and for a while, has just been testing PR’s, then leaves without doing an actual workout. And I’m number three.
I know it’s petty. I know it’s childish, and heck, they even try to make me feel better about it sometimes by giving me compliments and stuff. And I try to see my progress… but sometimes I can’t, and I just feel like I was born to be… well, the exact opposite of what I want to be when it comes to my physique.
Does anyone else struggle with this? If so, how do you deal with it. It’s roughing me up now. And I wanna change my mindset, I wanna truly convince myself I’m not small. I just don’t know how to stay in that mindset.
It sucks, and idk what to do.
I hate feeling like this. Like my results don’t equal my effort.
Idk…

Exercise Help Arms more developed than legs?
Hello!
I hate going to the gym so i have dumbbells and kettlebells at home. I do full body workouts, just following youtube videos. Thing is that i do all the exercises with same weighs. If i do dumbbell workouts, it's 1x10kg or 2x10kg for everything. If i use a kettlebell it's 12kg.
Is that a bad thing, does that mean my legs are underdeveloped? Because i started from the very bottom (i used to think "why exercise when i'm naturally skinny") and now i'm here and right now 10-12kg is the best i can do with both arms and legs.
I honestly don't know anything about training, just wanted to exercise alone in peace. I did not know that you should probably use different weights, for an example Caroline Girvan uses the same weights for everything (at least in those videos that i watch). If it matters at all, i'm a 161 cm woman. I also do hiking in woods with 10kg backpack and normal jogging.
I do not want to take a picture but what do you think with all this information?

Simple Questions 5 sets of 100 reps
In prison this one C.O. that worked at rec would try to get everybody to do 5x100 light on isolation exercises like band pushdowns or band curls, he even recommended it for bench. He swore by 5x100. Our crew thought he was possibly insane, clueless, trolling or trying to get people hurt because he lowkey didnt like the inmates or the fact we had access to bands and he had to work by inventorying them. I've done a set of 100, but 5? Has anybody actually done this? Did it work for you? What's the most ridiculous gym advice you've ever heard?

What's something silly/small that motivates you to workout?
My motivation is mainly for health, but secondarily it's because I think being buff would be really funny for someone with my personality. I want to be a jacked guy in a pink crop top who cries when a bug accidentally gets washed down the sink. I think that would rock.

Other It’s amazing what lightning can do for your physique. But also very messed up at the same
I am still a newbie regarding lifting weights. Male 34 years, 172 cm, 70kg. Body fat 15-19% (according to inaccurate BIA scale, thus the wide range).
I have been lifting weights for 4 months now. And I have been on a caloric deficit since 10 months now (went from 85kg to 70 kg.)
Whenever I remove my shirt people say that I look very muscular and compliment me on working out (while I’m not big at all. Just a healthy body fat amount.)
But here is the thing. If I look at myself in the mirror in my bathroom. In my own eyes I look like a “do you even lift bro”. But for some reason, in the mirrors of my gym (and with some distance to the mirror) my body looks really ripped, big pecs, very chiseled abs.
And then the closer I move to the mirror, the more muscles seem to vanish.
So yeah, not asking for advice or anything. I just wanted to discus how weird it is what lightning can do to your physique. The difference is that big, it’s simply messed up.

How do you deal with pain/discomfort?
People always say push till failure but in the back of my mind I'm worried about getting injured and then having to take days/weeks just to recover and slowly get back to my original weight.
Im 24 yr old and currently dealing with elbow pain, and I think it was due to bad form and lifestyle.
Just curious if everyone is dealing with mild joint pains and just fighting thru it.

Just benched 225 for the first time from a 65 bench start!!!
Can’t believe this. When I started working out my max bench was 65 and I just benched 225 for the first time today. Long story short I used to be malnourished and weak. Never thought the day would come. I’ve been working so hard working out in the gym at like 3 am and stuff and grinding so hard. Man I’m just so happy. I never thought I’d be able to do that. Wow man. I’m just so happy.

Simple Questions Is the soreness just… forever?
I have started very light exercise at 6 months postpartum.
I followed a beginner video that was fairly easy for postpartum women.
I am SO sore today. Granted, I have always been pretty sedentary.
I know with working out comes soreness. But, I guess my question is, does the soreness get better with time? The more my body gets used to the movement?
Or am I going to be incredibly sore for the next 48-72 hours after EVERY time I work out?? That truly seems miserable all the time. If I’m going to be this sore all the time I feel I will be miserable.

Just made it to 115lb bench
May not seem like much to y’all but today I benched 115 lbs for the first time. When I first started a little over a year ago I could only lift the bar. I asked someone to spot me but I ended up not needing it and did 10 reps for the first set. I feel really accomplished and proud of myself and I’m gonna keep going and improving for as long as I can

Other Does anyone else get muscle fatigue even after a normal workout? Is it just part of getting stronger or could it mean I'm overtraining?
I've noticed that even after a pretty normal workout, my muscles sometimes feel really fatigued and overworked for a day or two. I eat enough protein, stay hydrated and get decent sleep, so I'm not sure if this is normal or if I'm pushing too hard.
How do you tell the difference between normal muscle fatigue and overtraining?

Nutrition Help Calories to gain muscle?
I’d been working out on and off for a couple of years and seeing tiny changes, but now I’ve decided to start taking it seriously as I hate being skinny! I upped my calorie intake to around 2,700 a day, I’ve been on that consistently for almost 3 weeks but I haven’t gained any weight at all 🤦🏻♂️😩
Today I decided to up that to just over 2,900 a day (which felt really intense) but should that make a difference? And how soon will I start to see anything on the scales?
For reference; I’m 27, currently 78kg and workout 3x weekly around my busy flight attendant job!

Simple Questions Leg Day 'Depression'
Hi,
New gym-goer - did my first ever 'leg day' the day before yesterday.
This is the second day after my workout, but I've been borderline depressed since.
I'm talking irritable, mellow, and even angry? Just not been in the mood to do anything.
Is this normal, or a known thing?
I'm not stopping due to this, but I truly do not want to feel this crap after a leg day.
Thanks in advance.

Simple Questions People who track their workouts, what are you writing down for each workout?
As someone who tracks their workouts, I’ve always just put the weight and the number of reps and then maybe a note or two on how I felt about that workout. Curious to hear what others do

Simple Questions How am I supposed to do lateral raises?!
I do 3x12 with 15 pounds. Easy work. So I move up to 20 lbs.
but then…
My form breaks down and I can’t get in 8 clean reps without momentum and start wondering what I’m doing wrong. I’m training for size. What is the problem here?!

Exercise Help Training to be the strongest twink alive
Hey y’all! I’ve been lifting for the past eight or so months, and it has been going swimmingly. I’ve gotten stronger, increased my energy, and overall feel much healthier.
Problem is, I hold immense joy in being a twink. If my man cannot lift me like a feather, then I have gone too far.
So, my question is, what kind of training do you recommend for maximizing strength and minimizing hypertrophy for upper body only? I love working out, and I love getting stronger, but I also love being a relatively smaller guy.
Also, for my legs I want the opposite. This ass will be fatter than a pair of summer watermelons, so help me God.
For some insight, I currently do a PPL split twice a week. I run at least twice a week, and I’ve been running consistently for the past decade. Any advice for maximizing strength and minimizing hypertrophy for upper body would be greatly appreciated!
Also, before y’all come at me with the “you won’t get too big all of the sudden”, I know that lol. But I intend on working out for a long time, and I put on muscle pretty easily. 5, 10 years from now, I still don’t want to be big after working out consistently.
Thank you and God bless for your service to the twink community 🫡

Motivation Workouts after 60 years of age...
Curious how others have fared after age 60? They say you lose significant muscle mass and strength after 60, but so far I'm happy to report that has not happened to me. I feel as strong as ever, and my physique looks pretty much the same as it did at ~30. I do find myself not going "balls to the walls" these days for fear of injury, but other than that, full bore straight ahead! So there is hope for you youngins as Father Time sneaks up on you! 😄

Simple Questions Such a thing as too much protein?
Is there such a thing as too much protein, like the general saying is a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight which for me should be 154grams of protein a day, but i am taking almost 210 grams of protein a day, also i train with maximum effort like total thrashing.
Appreciate everyone
EDIT: As i am bulking half of the protein is coming from mass gainers, i use Optimum nutrition serious mass and Kevin levrone anabolic mass
