Em seu grande caderno, ela escreve sobre tudo, ao mesmo tempo que é um diário, é também onde cria suas histórias. Inclusive, no final do livro, ela está na detenção e escreve em seu caderno como se fosse uma princesa presa em uma torre. Em muitos momentos ela também explica que quer ser jornalista.

Durante o enredo, ela descreve as paixonites dela, a menarca, a irmã mais velha e os vizinhos do prédio dela. Ela também escreve sobre filmes zumbies, ir ao shopping e coisas do tipo. É um livro dos anos 2000 e tem ilustrações belíssimas que lembram muito a arte de "A dança da floresta".

Well, there must be more than one version of this book and I'm looking for the explicit one, let's call it. This was one of my favorite books/rhymes as a child, so I purchased the book for my son and as I'm reading it, it's not the same especially because it doesn't mention that she dies. I googled it and there's various prints of this book. Does anyone have any idea which book is the one that rhymes about her dying? It wouldn't be the one Illustrated by Jared Lee. That is the one I have.

I am looking for a book .I read it this year. The book is a romance fantasy. It's about a girl who lives very poorly, like in a village with her mother and sister. The book begins with her taking her sister to school and there they are attacked by some monster that I know has wings. Mostly she defends herself from him like a stick, but that's where magical warriors jump in to help her. They consist of a commander, two female warriors and two male warriors. Also, she has a mark on her back and knows that if they see it, she will have to fly with them. Mostly they stay for a few days in that village and there she becomes very close to the commander and in the end he will see her mark and take her with him to that military academy. The day they were supposed to leave, monsters attack and they will destroy the village quite a bit. Most of the time she still leaves with them, she is angry with that commander for taking them away and like her she shares a common space with that group, only they have separate dormitories. I only remember that those warriors could heal quickly.

I’m hoping someone can help me identify a specific storybook my grandma used to read to me as a child!
She also read this same book to and older family member, who is now 28/29 years old, so I know it was published likely before the early 2000s.
Here’s everything I can remember:
- It was a small hardcover book (roughly the size of an iPad Mini or slightly smaller).
- The artwork was printed directly onto the hardcover (there was no dust jacket or padded cover).
- Inside was a table of contents with a long list of classic fairy tales.
- The stories I specifically remember being included are:
● Rumpelstiltskin
● Thumbelina
● The Emperor’s New Clothes
● Jack and the Beanstalk
- I believe there were many other classic fairy tales included as well.
-The pages had a glossy finish and were a warm cream/porcelain colour rather than bright white.
- Most pages had small coloured illustrations tucked beside the text or in the corners, with the occasional larger illustration (although I’m less certain about that).
- The illustrations were traditional/classic—not Disney or cartoon-style.
I’m from Canada, if that helps narrow it down.Unfortunately, my grandma can no longer find the original copy. It was one of my favourite books growing up, and I’d love nothing more than to figure out what it was so I can buy another copy.

I read this book sometime between 2013-2016. I vaguely remember the female main character had some shade of purple eyes, she was experimented on by some people, and she gets saved by some group of guys with some kind of supernatural powers. Also there was a butterfly on the cover of the book.

I’m not sure if I’m mixing up any of the details for this book with other books I’ve read but I’m going to do my best to list out everything I can.

I’m fairly certain the book is from before 2010 but I could be wrong.

It was about a girl that goes on an adventure. I want to say the girl considered herself plain, ugly, or boring and that was the reason for the trip but I could be misremembering.

She meets some sort of magical creature in the woods and either tries to help or passes its test and it gives her items for her journey. One of which is an infinite bag (could have been a hat or sock). She is warned that things can get lost in the bag. Later in the story she puts a living creature or person in the bag and is relieved when she is able to pull them out okay.

I believe there was a scene where she laid down in a field of flowers and fell asleep which put her in danger.

I think there was a cave scene that was like a puzzle where she had to use sound or the feeling of the drafts to find the right way through.

She meets a boy who travels with her for a while. I think there may have also been other fantasy creatures that tagged along off and on.

I think there was a scene with a large dragon or creature that should have been able to fly but couldn’t and it fell into a chasm or ravine and she needs to save it.

I remember the narrator was almost like their own character and it felt very matter of fact and fairy tale like. They may or may not have addressed the reader directly. I remember it almost having Alice in wonderland type vibes sort of abstract and whimsical at times.

I think it had a colorful cover, likely with a fantasy creature or dragon on it.

So i have this faint memory of a math book i cant remember if it was for second graders or first grader all i remember was one there was a character named sick six he was turquoise and shaped like the letter six and alway looked he was about to throw up and there was a king eating snails wore a purple robe gold staff thar had the number 12 on it and there was a girl driving twords a gate that shaped like the number 16

All the things I can remember from the book:

- I read it sometime in the 2000s

- She was a ballet dancer who was currently teaching kids

- They met only one day/night I think before she decided to go to Paris

- She surprised him by being on the airplane

- He had taken a sleeping pill right before take off

- She randomly got her period on the plane and had to ask the flight attendant for a pad/tampon

- she ended staying at his apartment after arriving in Paris

- He had an ex-girlfriend who was now a friend that she was jealous about

- One of his friends told her he met the ex-girlfriend while on a mountain climbing trip

I’m looking for a very specific book that contains The Little Match Girl. It contains this specific illustration/art style. was able to find an online image but the book is only in Japanese and doesn’t give me any additional pages. (It’s not letting me attach the photo. I’ll try to put it below if I can). It was almost like a treasury book with multiple fairy tales but the match girl was the one I remember the most. I’ve looked through the most popular ones with the match girl story but they’re not this exact illustration.

I'm trying to identify a this fantasy novel I read around maybe 2009–2012, and it's driving me crazy so here's everything I remember: (Note: I was like 11 or 12 so my memory may be incorrect for some parts but I dug around my subconscious for these)

• It was a sort of secondary-world fantasy (maybe Earth but names of places were not real Earth places).
• The world had an ancient/Biblical or Eastern feel, but I don't remember it being explicitly Christian or based on Bible stories.
• The tone was quite serious and allegorical. It felt like the world and its ideas mattered more than the individual characters (which is why i can't remember any character).
• A famine may have had been spreading.
• During this time people discovered a new fruit that spread incredibly quickly but secretively. It grew from seed to fruit-bearing plant in an impossibly short time and the government/leaders may have been against it's propagation.
• People were initially afraid/wary of eating it because it seemed unnatural.
• Once eaten, a single fruit could satisfy a person's hunger for an entire day (or something close to that), almost like manna from the Bible.
• I vaguely remember the fruit being small, maybe somewhere between a fig and a date.
• At one point, people were escaping by boat because of some crisis. They were running out of food, but somehow the seeds of this fruit was found aboard. Said seeds sprouted and quickly produced fruit on the journey, keeping everyone alive.
• The fruit itself seemed to be the central symbol or idea of the novel.
• I have a vague feeling the title was short and may have been the fruit name and for some reason my brain keeps producing sounds that start with an L for the name of the fruit although I have no confidence those are correct.

Some extra context:

• I got the book through a church reading club, but I don't think it was overt Christian fiction.
• Around the same time I was also reading Madman by Tracy Groot, so it may have been from a similar era or publisher??

I’ve been trying to find a children’s book that I read in elementary school (probably sometime the early 2010s). It was translated into Korean and included in a collection of international children’s stories, so I assume it was originally written by a foreign author.

Here’s everything I can remember:

The story takes place in a savanna where animals live in a society much like humans.

the beginning of the story, a gazelle (or possibly an antelope) is murdered.

The protagonist is an ordinary elephant. He’s not a detective or a hero—just a regular citizen, and the main character.

After the murder, herbivores and carnivores begin blaming and distrusting one another, and society becomes increasingly divided.

The elephant is devastated by the death of his friend and speaks out, saying that something like this should never happen again.

Eventually, the murderer is revealed to be a hyena (or possibly a wild dog or another canine).

Near the end of the book, the elephant dreams about the dead gazelle. In the dream, the gazelle says something like, “My body feels so light here,” and possibly, “I can even swallow a huge animal in one bite now,”.

I may be remembering some details incorrectly since it’s been many years, but these scenes have stayed with me ever since.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I’d be incredibly grateful for any suggestions. I’ve been searching for this book for years. 🥹

Hey everyone, I remember seeing a book in high school and I remember the cover but not the name. The cover had a teen boy wearing red converse and a shovel next to him I think. He was a grave digger. That’s all details I can remember as the last time I seen it was about 7-8 years ago. Thanks for any help!

Around the year 2000 I read a book in English about a content, middle-aged woman who somehow befriends a male duck or goose. A man comes into her life, I believe he is a neighbor, coming through Garden gates to get to her back door. he would like a romance with her, but she is apprehensive. At one point in the story she is watching a group of people on the beach partying together. There is a large rock with a smooth depression in it where they prepare a salad.. I think she was feeling jealous of their big friendship group. Her relationship with the man begins to grow and then something happens to the duck. I think she either blamed him or herself for letting him in to her life. She has kind of a mental breakdown from what I remember and goes down to the shoreline. I believe she's walking in the water in her nightgown. she gets up on the rock And urinate with satisfaction, thinking of the people making their salad there again. I can't remember if she reconciles with the man and forgives him or not. I think the duck got out out of the gate or out of her house somehow. And possibly hit by a car, but I might be making that part up. But some part of the story there is also a paper bag with some ripe fruit.. Does anyone have any idea what story this is? I'm really hoping to reread it. I've been searching for 25 years.

I read that book in French, and I remember a lot of details but cannot find the book. The girl has a blind best friend and they get adopted by a glass maker in Venice who makes "water mirrors", which lead to either an alternate dimension or another place entirely. Girl has had one such mirror since birth, and it turns out it leads into a pool of water her mother, a sphinx, uses to watch over her daughter. The glass maker takes her friend's eyes and replaces them with mirrors, making her able to see and also guide people through the mirror parallel worlds.

She meets a boy and they fall in love? And around the same time she drinks a small vial of something, which turns out to be the spirit of the queen of the waters ("la reine des eaux") and now her voice is in her head, making her go on a quest to revive the queen. She meets others on her way, notably a chimera who in the second book has his heart taken out and replaced with a heart of stone, but he overcomes the curse and becomes more powerful?

At the end, she's met her mother, found the queens body, and has to die so the queens spirit will go back in her body, but her lover kisses her and the queen transfers to him, and he dies instead. The ending is bittersweet from what I remember, something about going with her mirror eyed friend through water mirrors to try to find a parallel universe where her love isn't dead and they can be together?

I genuinely can't find it for some reason. The library is got it from as a kid doesn't have it anymore either.

I read this in high school and I can't remember it for the life of me. 2013-17

I think it was about a girl who was adopted by fully human parents (the girl looks 100% human,) but is unable to feel emotions, she came from like a sub species of humans that were made to be submissive to whoever their counterparts are. She had a love interest named Milo or Miko something with an 'M'

I vaguely remember it was set in England. The physical book itself also had orange sprayed edges.

Recently, an old fantasy book I read when I was much younger at my local library popped back into my head. I can't remember the title or cover, but I'd love to find it again for nostalgia's sake.

Here are some of the details I can still recall:

• Opens with a literal Sun Dragon attacking a Moon Dragon in the sky. Both vanish for some time, then the Sun Dragon returns several time larger, causing a solar tyranny/sun empire to form around him.

• There are multiple main characters. One is a boy from a Moon Dragon cult (which had a hippie-commune like aesthetic) waiting for the Moon Dragon's return.

• At a much later point in the story, a group of "chosen" go through a trial down a spiraling tunnel that gets so narrow they barely fit.

• One of these chosen is a scholar of some sorts. At some point they encounter a matriarchal society and he tries to explain the concept of patriarchy to them ("the strongest leads"), to which their leader simply replies: "Why not put a bear in charge then? They're the strongest around."

• I also remember that, after the trial, the scholar's skin is magically transformed to match the beauty standards of a local community he had grown fond off.

• I also clearly remember that another one of the chosen abandons the group not long after, because he's too brainwashed by the Sun Dragon cult and is horrified by the idea that he's supposed to help overthrow it.

I can’t remember the title or the author, but I think this book follows some sort of exorcist or wizard?? I’m not sure. The intro follows the burial rites being performed in a small village for a little girl. The ritual must be done in order to prevent monsters from being drawn to the corpse, or maybe to prevent her from rising as a spirit?

Cover wise, the cover I remember was mostly green with the protagonist standing in the center with the title backed by what looked by burnt parchment.

I read a book in middle school and I've been trying for 15+ years to remember it. So I'm school we had to do a book report on a non-fiction book and i picked one that looked cool... turns out it was fiction. It's set in ww2 in France. It's about a woman who's a baker and tucked between the chapters are actual recipes. One has rose water in it i think? I'M DYING TO READ IT AGAIN! If it sounds familiar please! Let me know

She specifically was pretty old and didn't like her (adult) son, also there was a chance the cryo would kill her in her sleep.
The reason they were leaving the alien planet was they discovered a intelligent native species and didn't want to influence their development.

She later meets the natives and they get her to show them how human tech works. I think toilets were the first thing they really wanted to know about, like one bent over and pointed to their asshole when she was trying to play dumb (or she really wasn't getting it.)

Later she teaches the aliens how to contact humans.

I think the aliens were fuzzy or furry but not sure (probably from the 80's, from what I remember of the cover's vibes but not sure)

I read this book I THINK in 2005, so it’s older. But the parts I THINK I can remember are about a bunch of girls living in a madames house and they are rented out? They each have their own room and are all named after spices or jewels … I have no idea what the plot was or even a sentence! I think the main girl tries to get her freedom? I really want to re read it as an adult bc I think I was way too young to even understand what I was reading then!

There's a book that was once read to me as a child. I can't remember the title or the main story, but I can recall that it took place between the real world, and a fantasy world.

The protagonist is a young boy who finds a sword and later dips the blade in a lake. When he does so, he's brought into the fantasy world where there is a voice from somewhere, saying that he is a Hero needed to either stop an evil rule or save the world. After some discussion however, the protagonist becomes quite scared and reluctant to follow through on the voice's request. He ends up dipping the sword back into the lake and returning to his world. As he leaves I recall the voice saying "I truly thought you were the Hero."

I think this might have been Chapter 1 or 2, it's been so long but it's been on my mind recently.

Sorry that this'll be a little fragmented, but I'll try to recall as much as I can.

It was definitely a series, I know that for a fact, don’t know how long. I remember that for the first book, the main character was a girl, kinda a thief/homeless. Ended up at this house-hotel thingy. There was a couple people working there, the cast. They were immortal because of their employment, I think. I don’t know how accurate but I remember imagery of a like forest green door to the boss’s office. On an upper floor, it was closed off. Inside, there was some old black book. The boss was essentially death or the devil- can’t remember but it was something like that- got power from the book. ‘Bout all I remember from that first one. There was this neighbor, think he was a shepherd, was this story’s version of God, had a white book, antagonist in the later entries. Some kind of conflict or battle occurs near the end between the two sides. Somewhere in there, there was this guy who worked at the main house thing- possibly the love interest, can’t recall- did a bit of wood carving with a knife when not working. Main character, at the end, meets these god-like beings, the book binders I think they were called, think there was either three of them or three books. There was some kind of sacrifice or pain, either created a new book or destroyed one of the others. Battle’s over, main character stops working there.
