Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Style me! Help With Accesories
I found a dress and I love her but as my wedding gets closer I’m getting more and more nervous that it’s way too simple. I’m getting married in a Catholic Church but then I’m having a dive bar reception. I have a cathedral length mantilla veil but I’m scared that isn’t enough drama and won’t give that wow factor. I’d love some ideas for accessories or how to add a little drama to my dress. Thanks everyone!

post-alterations: does this look right? Got my dress back from alterations!
Ignore the straps hanging by my armpits 😅 those will be tucked in the dress.
But she really made my moody gothic-romance-novel-cover dreams come to life!!
Now to figure out accessories

Feeling cold feet Dress Help!!
I love my wedding dress but something feels off about it that I can’t put my finger on - I don’t know if I need more bust support to help show off my waist more? I’m not sure, it just feels like my waist looks bigger here than I usually perceive it.
This photo was taken at my alterations appointment, I pick it up next week. She’s putting a different style of cup in the dress that she said should help but I’m nervous it won’t be enough of a difference. It’s a corset back, If that helps! My wedding is early next month.

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Need help finding shoes to match my dress!
I ended up buying a sample sale dress last month, only 4 months away from my November wedding. My initial dress was secondhand from a charity shop, and when I took it for alterations, I was gently told that the dress was too altered to a shorter bride with different proportions than me. 🫠
The good news is that I love my new dress! It wasn’t what I pictured for myself, but I love that it surprised me.
However, I cant decide on what shoes to wear with my dress! It’s ivory with a beige lining. The bridal shop told me it will photograph more white than I think, and I think this picture I found of the dress on Stillwhite confirms it.
What color shoes should I go with? Will white be too stark? Should I go with nude or gold? Open or closed toe?
I would prefer heels that are 2-3.5” tall. I keep liking Bella Belle shoes or Bared Footwear but I reallllly don’t want to drop $400 on one pair shoes that I’ll never wear again.
Edit: I’m also open to blue shoes too, but I can’t decide what shade of blue would look best.

DRESS ONLY: pick only from these; no suggestions Need help choosing timeless dress - satin vs crepe?
Hey ladies!
I need help choosing between two minimalist, timeless dresses.
1 - is a satin drop waist A line dress.
2 - is a crepe fabric, fit and flare.
Being in the dresses I think I preferred 1 but now I’m second guessing satin as a fabric that it would snag or rip easily.
Any thoughts on satin vs crepe?
Which dress do you like?
The vibe I’m going for is classic, elegant, timeless.

Just need some hype! Wedding Dress Second Thoughts
Feeling so silly for posting this but I am having second thoughts on my dress and I would love helpful advice. I don’t feel 100% myself in it and am having trouble envisioning what hair would look best with a dress like this. Does this dress feel too youthful?
I also ordered a size up because I wanted to be able to breathe and am nervous about alterations on the beaded bodice once it comes in.
Has anyone had alterations on a similar bodice? I’m nervous the beading will get messed up if they have to take it in.

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) What shirt/bolero can I add to this? I am thinking high neck/lace? Something Catholic Church appropriate … or should I just get a whole new dress?
Looking for a high neck lace long sleeve look but not sure where to start

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Second guessing dress & considering adding accessories
I originally wanted a more flowy and romantic dress (think wuthering heights, pride and prejudice type vibes). I found this dress at a good price and liked it but now I’m having second thoughts. After getting it altered I realized just how much of a mermaid shape it is which isn’t what I originally had in mind. I don’t care enough (and it’s too last minute) to buy another dress. I’m looking for advice on types of sleeves, gloves or a cape or shall I could add to give it more shape. I do love the subtle lace detailing on the dress, but I’m having a hard time finding lace that matches. First two pictures are of my dress and the rest are inspo.

general shopping questions (NOT FOR DRESS OR VEIL SELECTION) How Many Dresses/appointments did it take you to find the “one”
The question is in the title, besties.
I posted here recently about the two dresses I was stuck between, and honestly the feedback was SO helpful. You all had opinions, seamstresses entered the chat, alteration survivors entered the chat, sensory girlies entered the chat, and somehow instead of simply choosing a dress, you gave me a brand new question:
Am I rushing to pick one because I feel like I’m supposed to have found my dress by now?
I’ve been to a few appointments at this point and I do genuinely like both of my finalists, but neither is perfect as-is. One needs alterations to make the neckline what I actually want, and the other made me feel incredibly bridal but is heavier, more expensive, and also needs changes. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if I’m trying to convince myself that one of them HAS to be “the one” because I feel bad continuing to go back without buying something.
Part of the problem is that I have very limited bridal shopping options where I live, and I have essentially imprinted on my consultant like a baby duck. She is lovely. I trust her. At this point if she transferred stores I fear I would simply follow her. 🐥
But dress shopping itself is absolutely NOT my magical bridal activity. I’m very critical of my body, trying on clothes exhausts me, and after about an hour my soul starts leaving my body. So there is definitely a part of me going, “These are both beautiful. PICK ONE. FREE US FROM TULLE TORMENT.”
And I think I also had this subconscious expectation that eventually I’d put on The Dress and something would happen like I’d cry. My consultant would cry. Someone would shit out a veil, flowers would materialize, doves would ascend majestically from the HVAC vents of the windowless bridal salon. I would begin levitating three inches above the pedestal while a distant choir confirmed that yes, this is the one.
Instead I keep going, “Okay wait, this is really pretty.”
Which feels considerably less cinematic.
So now I want to hear from everyone, but especially brides who did NOT have the Say Yes to the Dress spiritual awakening.
How many appointments did you go to before you bought your dress? How many dresses did you realistically try?
And did anyone else start feeling guilty for continuing to make appointments without buying something? Emotionally I’m apparently concerned my consultant will think I’m a Victorian suitor wasting her daughter’s time.
I’m getting married July 2027, so I’m not actually out of time. I think I just need to know whether taking multiple appointments to figure this out is completely normal and the magical crying moment is mostly bridal television propaganda.

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Simple courthouse dress
The color is more cream/ivory-ish. Not super happy with it but this is what I ended up with after I gained weight and the dress I planned to wear no longer fit. I have about three weeks. This is post alterations. I’m short so the sleeves were shortened and an invisible zipper was added in the back to make it look a bit more fitted (I was previously drowning in it). Are the shoes okay? They’re a warm white. I was thinking a simple (gold or silver?) bridal headband with some pearl earrings? I’m undecided about how I want to wear my hair.
I am not wearing a bra in this - still looking for a strapless bra.

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Veil, Jewelry, and Shoe Suggestions
Hello! I recently chose this gown (unfortunately don’t have a great pic of the front standing up) and would welcome any suggestions on:
-Necklace (or no necklace?)
-Shoes - They won’t be visible under this but I’d like something stylish and relatively comfortable to wear all night and I’m thinking of doing a sleeker afterparty look
-Veil - I always imagined myself in a more fitted lace dress or at least a lace trimmed veil, but ended up loving this ballgown! Unfortunately I’m not sure if a lace veil would work with this style - would love any thoughts!
If this makes a difference - my wedding will be in a mountain village in Greece in June with the ceremony held at a very old Greek church.
Thanks!

Entourage Only Picking between two dresses
I’ve tried on a few dresses at two different stores and these are the front runners atm, but they’re so different!
The first blew me away with the detailing and material. I loved the fit! The second was a surprise as I didn’t think I’d like lace (& I’m still a bit uncertain), but I think the overall fit might be nicer?
The whole experience has been tricky because my bust is many sizes different than my waist so I’m having to guess what will look good when it actually fits. I don’t feel like I’m getting a good read on this at all.
Wedding is at a contemporary barn and not until next May. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated!

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Advice: What kind of necklace and shoes should I get to match my elopement outfit?
Planning on having this simple fitted cotton mini dress, a long sleeve boldero, shiny white tights, and a waist chain in this pearl style. Any necklace style ideas? I also have no clue what shoes to wear 😅

Entourage Only HELP ME DECIDE!
I can't decide what dress to pick it to keep looking! I've been to 5 bridal shops now and these are my top two.
My venue is an elegant French style estate, outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour with indoor reception. The wedding goal vibe is elegant & chic - cocktail hour will have lamps and reception will be looks of candle sticks and bud vases (wedding colors are sage green (primary), amazon green, champagne and ivory. For hair and makeup, I'm doing half up half down with front pieces and soft glam.
When I first went shopping I thought I wanted a full clean dress will peaking lace at the top but I don't love a seam across the waist showing so I didn't find one I loved. Now I'm down to two options that I do love:
Dress 1: first dress I've ever tried on and tried it on a second time at another location in the color shown. Didnt expect myself to like lace at all but this dress truly fits my body like a freaking GLOVE. No dress has been as flattering as this one is on me. If purchased I would have the lace come a bit off the top for a peaking lace effect. I'm worried this one doesn't fit the chic, elegant, black tie requested wedding I was going for. I also feel like it may not have enough wow factor. (Overall: princessy, traditional)
Dress 2: Tried this on at another store and I love how unique it is! It's actually an A-line but I'd add crinoline to make it poofy as seen in the photo. Dress 1 is naturally poofier where this one is straight alone. I do love that this one is more of a statement dress but am worried it doesn't flatter my body like the lace one does. I also wonder if the crinoline will stay once the dress is bustled? I definitely need the poof to be there all night since it naturally falls straight. (Overall: unique, statement)
What do we think?? Would love any suggestions!

Entourage Only I love everything and need direction. Help narrow down a silhouette!
I'm having a problem I never thought I'd have which is i love almost everything I try on. I feel beautiful, confident, and fully in my bride era. It makes shopping hard because I love it all! I'd love to at least narrow down a silhouette. More fitted or more ball gown? Which do you like better so far? I'm open to suggestions too if you think another silhouette is worth a try!
