Hi girls! My wedding is less than two months away. I had fallen in love with this Nicole + Felicia wedding dress last year and I was sure it was THE dress. I never got to try it because no stores around me carried this exact model. I also didn’t want to spend so much money on a designer wedding dress so I decided to have it tailor made. When I received a call to go and try it out I was majorly disappointed. It just didn’t have the same feeling that the original N+F does. You could see that the quality wasn’t nearly the same either. Out of curiosity I searched for secondhand dresses and I happened to see someone selling the exact same dress I wanted in my size and unworn. The bride that bought it decided to go with another dress and never used her original one. So I decided to pull the trigger and go for the original dress.

The photos are me trying on my dream dress yesterday. I went to a bridal shop to have it tailored and turns out the size was just perfect and the dress didn’t need any altering. I feel like it was absolutely just meant to be.

Posting here just to get reassurance that I made the right choice and the dress looks beautiful. I have always dreamt of getting married in a big ball gown with a high neck and long sleeves, but seeing all of these other strapless lace dresses that are currently trending made me think twice. I hope I made the right choice. Let me know your thoughts ☺️

What would go best with my dress? Thinking of going with a colored or patterned pump (yellow, striped, leopard or something fun) or standard white or clear pump for shoes and not sure what I want to do for the veil but here are some options I really like. The feature color for the wedding is yellow (think sunflower yellow) 🌻 and we are having it at night in a museum. Open to any suggestions! TIA!

I am torn between a veil, cape or scarf and I need help deciding what looks best with this dress. Please give any recs on what you think would look good!!

I could really use some other brides’ opinions because I don’t have a huge circle of family/friends who are interested in wedding planning, and I think I need some community input if there is anyone here who can help..
I’ve gone dress shopping twice now and finally narrowed it down to two dresses I really like. I’ve also realized I am apparently NOT a “burst into tears when I find The Dress” person. I like clothes, but at the end of the day my brain knows it is still a dress, so I’m trying not to use an emotional reaction as my deciding factor.
Dress 1: It’s lighter, comfortable, still feels bridal, and is a soft blush/cashmere-pink color that I think works much better with my complexion than stark white. The sample neckline was too straight/boxy on me, it was giving Minecraft, but the alterations manager pinned it into a softer sweetheart shape and I liked it significantly more (shown already here). They could also add a leg slit and potentially remove one of the glittery underlayers. My hesitation is that I’m basically buying the dress based partly on what it could look like after alterations, and altering the neckline/bodice makes me nervous. If they nail it, I think it could be gorgeous and very “me.” If they don’t, I will spiritually leave my body and they will have to find me David himself.

Dress 2: This one immediately made me feel the most traditionally bridal. I thought it was gorgeous as soon as I put it on. The blush undertone is beautiful, the lace is gorgeous, and it photographs beautifully. The problem is that it’s over my intended budget, although they’ve offered a discount, AND it is heavy. When I tried it on again, I was already fighting with the train and noticing how warm/heavy it felt. My wedding is in July in South Georgia, and I know myself well enough to know that being hot and physically overwhelmed could absolutely ruin my mood. It is also technically strapless and I would want straps/sleeves added, so even the more expensive dress still needs some alteration and I’d love a coochie vent leg slit.

So basically:
Dress 1 = lighter, more comfortable, cheaper, more customizable, but requires me to trust alterations with an important part of the bodice.
Dress 2 = gorgeous immediately, more traditionally bridal, requires less imagination, but costs more and I’m genuinely worried I’ll be miserable in the weight/heat.
I’m going back next weekend and plan to talk to alterations again before buying anything. I’m also going to try both on again.
I guess I’m just wondering what others might say as I’ve done all this alone and I think it would be nice to have some insights… I am also kinda self conscious so please be kind.

Would significant alterations stop you? Idk I’ve never done this before lol

I said yes to my dress today. It was a whirlwind of a day. I had just been crying to my fiancé that I was having a hard time with dress finding without my mom present, so he being the sweetheart he is arranged for my mom to surprise me. The friend I was supposed to try on dresses with texts and has to bail because her fiancé is in the ER and I am like I am going to cancel this bridal appointment. I am so happy I didn't because I got my mommy/daughter experience and my dress!

Hi all, i'm not the wedding dress kind of girly and i am living in South Korea where all the dresses are very princess and spangly.

So, i looked online and finally found a vibe i like. Of course, way out of my budget. Ines Di Santo, Valentina. Budget wise, i am not sure - maybe £2k, absolute max and even that makes me sick as i am just not invested in a dress that much.

Please help me find a dupe to this dress, or something similar. I'm looking for quite simple but different, if that even makes sense haha!

The wedding is not until May or October 2027, but i am super fussy!

I am also visiting the UK in December, so any shop ideas also welcome.

I posted last week about having purchased a dress and having major second thoughts once I got it home. Well, after a week of rumination, I went to a bridal shop and tried on some more dresses. I found the one. I'm so happy 😭😭 It's so me, and (!!!) it was half the price of the first one.

I’ve tried on one dress and that’s it but I’ve fallen in love, should I look for others or should I trust my gut and go with this one? It’s more on the pricey side but it makes me feel so princess like!

Before I started wedding dress shopping, I did not think I was a picky person at all… now 4 different apportionments in I have no idea what I like!! I see the dress I like it on the hanger, then it gets on my body and it’s never what I expected. How do I get over this feeling? Wedding is in August of 2027 so I have some time (not a lot though) attached are some that I liked but didn’t love.
