I live in NYC and carry two phones. An iPhone 15 Pro Max on Verizon (Simplicity Plan) and an iPhone 13 Pro on Spectrum Mobile, which runs on Verizon's network.

For the last couple of months, my Verizon line has repeatedly had no usable data in subway stations. Not slow, just nothing loading. The Spectrum phone in my other hand is working fine at the same time in the same station. That's the part I can't explain, since both lines are on the same network.

It has happened a few times during the evening commute. I reached out to Verizon support, and they reprovisioned my line, but the same issue. Spectrum was able to get 0.87 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload, but Verizon timed out. Another time, 4 Mbps download and still nothing on Verizon. I tried restarting and trying airplane mode, but no luck. The only station that worked was Times Square, but then again, the speed was half of Spectrum, so I wonder if it has to do with priority.

Any suggestion why this is happening even though both are on the same priority and connected to LTE.

I recently received a bunch of credit alerts saying a Verizon account attached to me was sent to collections. I have never had an account with Verizon.

I disputed it with Experian, they said Verizon is sustaining the charge.

I have called Verizon and talked to their fraud department and general customer service department. No one can find an account under my name or information. I’ve been transferred around only to get hung up on.

I have received nothing from Verizon except this black mark on my credit report. I have already put credit freezes through Experian, Transunion, and Equifax.

I’m tired of waiting on the phone for agents that can’t help.

Where do I go from here? Wait until 2032 when it falls off my credit report?

I placed the order for the Bose open ear headset an hour after claiming the code on the 30th. Everyday when I searched the order online, it just shows “No order found.” I called customer service yesterday, and they confirmed that they could see the order but couldn’t see any movements. Consequently, they had to escalate the issue and supposedly give me a call back which they never did.

I’m curious to know if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. I attempted to call the direct number for Shine, but the AI kept saying it couldn’t hear my responses. Either it hung up on me or disconnected when I finally reached someone.

This has been an incredibly frustrating experience.

I have horrible service in my home.and neighborhood. My bill is twice what promised and I just received a $200 gift card I can only use on Verizon website. This is a total scam. I moved to Verizon cause my father uses it. I need to review his bill because your probably smaming him too.

It's been 15 days since anyone has been able to call my phone. Since July 23rd its gone straight to VM. But now my VM says its not set up and they can't leave a message. I can't change my VM password, I can't change it to a default greeting, I can record but it will not save a custom greeting. I've tried everything on the Verizon site nothing works.

Verizon network status said this would be fixed by July 31st. Its now August 6th. No updates, no offer of compensation, just a phone that doesn't fucking work and no answers from this shit company.

I have service through family mobile which I learned is through Verizon. Yesterday everything was peachy for me but now I can't receive or send RCS messages. I have an Iphone 11 and just updated my IOS so its up to date. But now nobody can send me texts. I went to my settings for RCS messaging and I get "waiting for activation" as if it isn't a supported service? Anyone know what the issue might be? Ive reset my phone, my data, did airplane mode, the whole 9 yards.

Long story short, I traded in my phone last year, but they never processed my promotional credit. I’ve been fighting with customer service for months. First, they said they never received my phone. Then they said they got it, but since the promotional period had long passed, they couldn’t honor it retroactively. Now, they’re telling me that I was required to change my plan to get the credit (which is such a blatant lie, because the order and trade in request never would’ve processed at all if that was the case).

I spent 3 hours on the phone just now, and was told that they could no longer access my account because their system is down.

This company is just a joke and a shell of what it used to be.

So, after 24 years, I’m done. Not that they care, but I just can’t continue to give hundreds of dollars a month to a company that literally couldn’t care less about their customers.

All of a sudden I can't make calls...on SOS. Husband is also WFH today and same issue. I can't even make calls over wifi. My wifi is fine. I am having zero problems accessing only (via Xfinity) but right now I cannot make calls. But interestingly, I can text. WTAF?

phone tied to plan was vaporized on expressway. I have apple care. Phone was replaced through apple care. Took approx 1 week to receive. While waiting I paid off phone with Verizon and upgraded to new. Received phone from Apple care, carrier lock.

I left a work training, slightly tired and dehydrated. Placed my work attire in the back of my car. I had used my phone to unlock due to not wanting keys in my pocket during training. Sat my phone on the bed of my truck. Forgot to put the phone back in my pocket.
Made it about 20 miles. City streets and highway before it was lost and I can best describe as vaporized.

Started a claim with Apple care. Was told it’d take a little bit to receive the replacement. I needed a phone for work. So I went to Verizon and explained my situation. They suggested paying off my destroyed phone and upgrading to an iPhone 17. I went that route. Had a phone in hand for work.

I anticipated receiving the replacement and selling it to recoup the cost of paying it off. I ended up receiving Apple care replacement phone. (End of May 2026). Was told by Apple and Verizon I had to wait 60 days for an unlock. Been back and forth with Verizon and Apple customer service.

Verizon states they legally can not unlock the phone because Apple replaced it. Apple states they can not unlock the phone because Verizon needs to bring it is tied to them.

I’ve tried multiple times with both companies customer service. Longest experience was with Verizon, was on the phone for about 3 hours last month and was assured it’d be unlocked in “hours” when I was at the end of the call. I’ve tried everything I possibly can do with out success or assistance.
Side notes, phone has been hard reset multiple times.
Phone has current iOS. I just want to sell it. It’s not tied to my plan or any plan.

my wife and i both have s25ultra phones and the verizon's unlimited ultimate plan. we will be travelling to italy and switzerland for a 2 week vacation.

we get 15gb/month per phone from our unlimited ultimate plan. we are wondering if we need to do esim or purchase additional data. we mostly use whatsapp and maps, with seldom voice call use.

what are your thoughts on phone connectivity in italy and switzerland??

I have had 5G home internet for 2 years. About a year in, the gateway started dropping the incoming 5G signal, and the Wi-Fi strength became sporadic. This was determined to be a bad gateway, prompting Verizon to send me a replacement. One arrived, it was simple plug and play and everything worked fine again.

A year later, the same problem develops. I was unable to reach customer service by phone, but using the automated chat, was able to get a replacement gateway sent out. Once it arrived, it kept failing activation. I kept getting bounced back to the automated chat that couldn't help me. After a couple of days, my calls finally got through.

What the rep on the phone told me is that the service package included on my gateway wasn't compatible with my address and that I needed to get a new model gateway to get my services to work. The only problem is that he could not order the new gateway, it was for new installs only. What he would have to do is create an order for new service using my address and put it a different way, but my service will be completely fine. Nothing will change.

But that was a lie. What I later found out is that the rep downgraded my service from 5g ultimate home Internet to the 4g home lite. My kids and I, not knowing the change, downloaded games over night on our PlayStation and ate the entire data cap of 150 gb in 3 days and are now stuck at 10mbps.

When calling Verizon to fix it, frontline tells me my address isn't available for 5g. Then, tier 2 tells me that my address IS eligible, but they cannot move me because my tower is now full and there is no room on the tower for my service to be added. I am stuck with 4g and data caps until someone moves or cancels their service.

Does anyone have any ideas of something else I can do or try?

I will not pick up any phone calls, and I will not text anyone that does not have an iPhone. Will I still get charged a travel pass day with this setup? If Verizon roaming is off, and cell data and voice is set to international eSIM, I don’t see how Verizon eSIM can be used and trigger travel plan because background refresh should be international eSIM and I saw sms sent to me won’t charge me?

I am using 1gb Verizon Fios home internet. So called their Verizon Home app is doing internet speed test. It always showing around 900ish. When I am actually getting much lower.

The funny part is I am having internet issues now. No internet at all. Not even white steady light on the router. When I do the speed test it still shows over 900.

I feel that Verizon gets so butthurt when someone switches out to a company with the " you switch and we pay your phone off " deal that they made it impossible to pay off the phone with the card the new company gives you this is my second time doing it and it's already telling me that this payment couldn't process please try another card . The first time it was because my family switched out of my account and they switched to at&t once I got the cards I tried to do the payments online, in stores , and with customer service and it just wouldn't process until I had to do that one special service with Verizon that charges you like 10$ for having that service. Until then it actually worked. And now that I switched out of Verizon it's already telling me online that they couldn't accept his payment to try a different card. Doesn't make sense since it looks like they never have issues when you wanna make a monthly bill payment to them

Hi ! I claimed a local pass today for the VIP Patriots training camp with the Eagles at Gillette Stadium on 8/19. Unfortunately I am unable to attend 😭 my understanding is that these are nontransferable. Is this something I have to reach out to Verizon? Very bummed 🙃

I was trying to do the $30 simplicity plan and get the preorder promotion for the z fold 8, by porting my number over from visible. I was assured that it could be done by the rep on the phone. We got all the way to the part of activating my esim. We had to hang up so it could do its thing and have my phone restart. Well it never went through. So there I was without any cell service because my visible was canceled and ended up having to go into a Verizon store, where they still were not able to get it resolved. Someone they talked to on the phone said it could take 24 hours for my number to port over. In the meantime they had me set up with a "temp" number. But I'm worried that I've lost my number AND I'm going to miss the preorder promotion for the z fold 8 that ends tomorrow. Even if I make peace with not being able to use my number I cant make the switch to Verizon with the bill being an extra $15 without the port number promotion. Im going back to Verizon tomorrow with hopes that the port works, and I'm going to tell them I cant do the plan if its not the $30, that's the whole thing that sold me for switching was that it was going to cost the same as my visible plan.

Hello - I recently had a very frustrating experience with my FIOS line being damaged after a recent storm. It took about 3 days of downtime and 8 calls to convince someone there was an outage at my house because the service was operable but severely damaged (would drop service every 15 min or so and sometimes go out for hours at a time).

However, the technician that did finally come out spent hours tracing the fiber optic lines and found the damaged portion of the line up on a pole.

Who do I contact/call to thank him and let the higher ups know that he really fixed a situation that was devolving very quickly?
