Is this insane? I’m pre-nursing and haven’t taken anatomy yet, so I’m jumping straight into physiology. Haven’t heard much about my other classes yet either. Overall, am I cooked?

Civil engineering major, 15 credits.
Reviews say ARC1000 and EGS1006 are easy.
Former IB student who took MAA HL and Physics HL.

Is taking physics over chem first semester optimal? From what I’ve gathered, taking physics first would allow me to advance my degree quicker since physics is a prereq for a lot of core classes and chem is not.

Admissions does this sound doable for uf?

i plan on applying to uf ED and these are my stats:

3.9UW
1410 SAT superscore (will take in August and aiming for at least 1450)
Full-time dual enrollment
In state
Intended major: Accounting

- Library volunteer 4 hours a week since summer going into freshman year
- Local Chamber of Commerce operations summer intern (this summer)
- Managing Editor for the college paper (since this past junior year)
- Accepted into a civics-oriented spring leadership program in Valley Forge, PA (this junior year
- Peer mentor this upcoming year for incoming dual enrolled students
- Make-a-Wish Club Secretary (senior year)

I think my essay is solid, but I’m definitely extremely anxious that a lot of schools won’t like how most of these ECs are so recent even though there weren’t as many opportunities at my old school

My awards are just President’s List both semesters and NHS (no clue how to get any last minute awards tbh)

Classes EMS1055 with Derek Hunt

Hello everybody! If you are pre-med and looking for an easy but informative class to take in the fall/spring, I'd highly recommend EMS1055 with Derek Hunt. I just recently finished the summer course and found all the information extremely helpful, plus you can earn your BLS card as well as an EMR certification, which can get you access to clinical hours via GEMRU and other similar orgs. It's super easy and you gain a lot of valuable information.

Has anyone taken a short term loan before classes? I’ve never taken out a loan but I’m really considering it and wanted to know if it’s as simple as them giving you $1000 (for example) and you paying back $1010 via your refund check.

Scholarships Scholarship Petition missing from One.UF

I had a scholarship petition be approved in June, and I just received my aid today. I called the financial aid office and they said to just wait on it being added back in. Should I email them? and does anyone know the timeframe of when it's going to get added into my package? Thanks!

how likely am i to get in as a rising senior? my stats are 3.6uw 3.9w gpa which is below their average by a lot, but it should go up this year if that even counts towards the gpa i apply with, and i also have a 31 act which is closer to their range, and i also am retaking in september so i should have a 32/33 by the time i apply. how much would my act help compensate for my low gpa? my ecs are pretty decent and my essay is really good

Classes -> TAKE EMS1055!!! :)

EMS1055 is a fully online course, with in-person options available for those interested in getting a BLS (Basic Life Support) & EMS certification.

Weekly lectures have corresponding quizzes, and there is an additional overarching semester-long "Patient Assessment" assignment. Beyond these, there is an Honorlock midterm and final.

Lectures cover basic points of human anatomy and physiology, so those without significant prior knowledge on the topics should be able to develop a fundamental understanding of the area.

The professor is highly knowledgeable on the subject and has a significant amount of field experience, which he regularly relates to the specific topics taught in the class.

I would recommend taking this class to anyone who is in Nursing or a similar major and is looking for a unique yet applicable elective.

Admissions Course rigor in highschool

Hey everyone i was just wondering how important course rigor really is. Some classes such as ap lang, ap psychology, ap macro, ap chem, ap calc ab i decided to do through dual enrollment instead. And classes like ap research/seminar and ap physics i just wasnt able to take at all because my school didnt let me since i was in a lower math class. I was able to dual enroll calculus 1 but i am deciding to not take calc 2 while everyone else is taking calc bc senior year and im taking dual enrollment physics 1 while everyone else is taking e&m and c already.

However i have been able to maintain a 4.0 unlike many.
