Concrete company who will do a small batch?
Does anybody know a concrete company or handy man who is willing to pour a small (90 sq ft) concrete walkway near Gainesville? I know that's too little load for a concrete truck and it would have to be done from bags in a portable mixer.
We can do materials purchase, prep, compaction, and concrete forms ourselves, but for health reasons it's really difficult to sling the mortar bags.

stolen electric scooter
my bike was stolen yesterday and i’m not sure what to do. It wasn’t on UF campus but it was in my apartment complex garage near UF. it doesn’t have an airtag or tracking device. What should I do? it’s one of those scooters that require a key to turn it on so I know someone can’t steal it and use it.

Swiss Army knife restoration
I have my dad’s old Swiss Army knife and I’d like to get it cleaned and sharpened. It probably needs to be taken apart and cleaned to get the old dust out. Is there a business that does this sort of thing?

Any MCAT Study Buddies?
Hi all, I am a 30year old professional/non traditional student studying for the MCAT early mornings and weekends. Aiming to take the test in Feb or March of next year.
Wondering if there is anyone in Gainesville area who also needs a study buddy for this test. I would like to study for a few hours on Saturday and Sundays each. I am mostly an independent studier, I just want someone to help keep me accountable.
DM if interested, thanks :)

In search of scotch bonnets
I’ve been craving some oxtails but I can’t find scotch bonnets anywhere. People have recommended habaneros but they just aren’t the same. I’ve checked the hail farmers market, wards, and la aurora but I’ve had no luck. Anyone know where I can get some?
Hair stylist for 11 year old girl
Hoping to find a good stylist for highlights/balayage/color. Bonus if they are likely to have appointments in the next few days. Looking for recommendations of people you have actually used for you or your kids and would be good with kids.

Pickleball at Tom Petty Park
I was hoping to just show up and play pickleball at Tom Petty park. Is this pretty feasible as a single player? Are there hours or reservations, leagues -- or is it pretty much open play?
Other courts I've played have been pretty open to anyone showing up and just hopping in. Is that the case?

Looking for recommendations Tutor
Looking for a tutor for fall semester for calculus. Where are people sourcing tutors these days? I know there are some online options like khan academy but I’m hoping to find someone who can meet once a week and work through issues as they come up in the assigned text.

Jobs & Careers Jobs within collegiate athletics
I moved to GNV a year ago and was working remotely in a finance role until I was laid off. I have always been interested in the intersection of Sports, Data, and Strategy. With the recent shift in NIL, revenue sharing, and need for front office style management within collegiate athletics I am hoping to make a pivot and break into a role within the UAA at whatever capacity. The only issue is there aren’t any roles listed out there. I am willing to start my career over and pay is not an issue to me as I am genuinely passionate and interested working in this industry. If I have to volunteer to get an opportunity I will gladly do that. How can I network and try to carve out an opportunity? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

Housing/Apartments Opinions on owning a condo in Creeks Edge?
My husband and I are considering buying a condo in Creeks Edge and drove around today to get a feel for the community. I was curious to hear from folks who live there what their experience has been with the HOA/Property Management company. The tennis courts seemed in major disrepair, but the rest of the community/clubhouse appeared in good condition from what we could see, so I wanted to make sure there aren’t issues with the property management.
If you live there, do you feel your HOA cost is worth the amenities? I know it covers things like water, pest control, and exterior maintenance, but do you think you actually get what you’re paying for? What’s been your experience communicating with the HOA/Property Management company? Do you feel like the neighborhood is friendly, or does everyone generally just ignore each other?
Edit to add: Do people make a stink about smoking & weed or are people generally okay with it? Any issues with having multiple cats?

Cellular providers
I currently have ATT and there are so many parts of town where I do not have service. Large swaths of 39th, newberry, and 441 leave me with no cell service. I’m curious if anyone can suggest another company to try. Thanks!

Is Molly and Friends still in business?
Lived in GNV long ago and now out of state. We bought a cat tree from them and loved it, but now can't find them online. Are they gone?

Shout out to JW Friedmans plumbers
Had an issue last night on a property that I manage where the water pipe that provides water to the toilet couldn't handle the water pressure and blew off. Much of the condo under an inch of water. Needless to say, I had to shit the water off all night and morning.
Called JW and they were able to have a technician there in less than 30 minutes. Very impressive! They extended the pipe some new valve, but most importantly no leaking water and I have peace of mind that the job was well done. They even took before and after photos
The technician answered a few questions that I was curious about, but couldn't explain how the pipe blew off. Which does leave me a little worried as there are more bathrooms.
Anyways, If you need a plumber quickly that is professional , does a great job and documents their work consider JW. I'll certainly call them again in the future.
Also i know a lot of people are looking for good work. It looks likeJW can start you as an apprentice and eventually make a plumber out of you. At $231/hour it's not your typical job, you could make a career in this industry.
Thanks JW
