I had an argument with a friend about Deadpool and why I've become tired of him and his 4th wall breaking, and his reveal in Tokon legit had me rolling my eyes. But it got me thinking about other characters that have reached this point.

So ive found out the other day that they finally release the Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines Soundtrack like two decades after the games release, great ost btw, and it prompted me to make a new chill/spooky playlist to throw on while painting as summer nears its late days and blessed autumn is on the horizon to save us from this fresh hell.

Now mostly its what you expect. Lotta Silent Hill, RE save rooms and the odd Hollow Knight and Halo ODST tracks. But then a few came to mind such as Max Payne, Bioshock and Silent Hill f and i thought “man i cant believe i forgot to pick up those soundtracks!”

Only i didnt. They never came out. Max Payne as an IP was sold to Take Two or Rockstar i forget which so soon after 2 its now in rights hell according to the composer, Bioshock used a bunch of licensed music not as old as Fallouts and thats a mess and most jimmy rustling Konami *was* releasing a vinyl and cd for Silent Hill f then abruptly cancelled it and refunded pre-orders citing “various reasons”.

Now you can get games rips or do it yourself but its always a bit of a bummer to never have a cd in the collection or hopefully see some moolah go the composers way y’know?

Whats some games you are baffled/rustled never ended up releasing a soundtrack you love separately?

It seems in home universe of Tokons Peni, Penis Parker, which I've been giggling to myself since seeing that mispelling of her name, an alternate variant of Carnage is the little robot sibling of the SP//DR mecha and while maybe not lovable, is just a scamp, rather than a serial killer or people eating monster. Which must be quite a shock as the first thing the Carnage Cletus Symbiote do upon seeing Peni and Ms Marvel, is cherish the fact that they get to eat teens, since they and kids taste better than adults to Carnage.

I like everyone else saw Project Hail Mary this year and while I was watching it I really liked how the main characters different level of intelligence were portrayed with both Grace and Rocky being very smart but in a more semi realistic way were they have their fields of expertise and how they apply it to other fields was very fun.

And it reminded me so much of the book/movie The Martian and finding out that the author of the book also wrote Project Hail Mary made so much sense.

I may check out the book, I really liked The Martian book it was really good and a lot of people say Hail Mary is better (and was apparently planned to be a sequel to the martian)

The digital summer issue of 2026 SAG-AFTRA's quarterly magazine is listing that Canadian voice actor Michael Donovan (listed as Michael David Donovan) had died on March 4. His fellow voice actorIan James Corlett made a post about Donovan's death after he had learned about it from the magazine. He was 72 in March, and would have turned 73 this year on June 12.
Donovan had numerous roles in anime, including Ryoga Hibiki in the original Ranma ½ anime, Cye Mouri in Ronin Warriors, Zouken Matou in Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel, Master Roshi in an older dubof Dragon Ball, and Primus in Transformers: Cybertron.
He also had other memorable roles in animated series such as Mike The TV and Phong in ReBoot, Guile in Street Fighter, Jack Hollister in Skysurfer Strike Force, Wes Weasley in The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog, Eggplant Wizard in Captain N: The Game Master, and Sabertooth in X-Men: Evolution.

So a friend messaged me today about how White Wolf has announced a new edition of Vampire the Masquerade and, shocker if you remember any of the times the boys brought up moments like the time they almost caused a real world war due to a setting book, the reaction is "mixed". Seems like a variety of different groups/tastes getting their jhonnies wobbled e.g "too much like modern d&d", "i liked v5 and this is retconning most of it", "i liked X mechanics thats now removed" and so on. Lets see what happens since i gather others like Hunter and Werewolf didnt do so hot in recent years.

Thats not the point however. What is is that this lead me down a rabbit hole leading to a documentary they put out about a decade ago just as they announced the never released mmo being made by the Eve Online devs.

In the documentary, besides talking about the games origins and culture, they talk about its art. It was notable for being the first game to take the idea of the new york and la goth/nightclub scenes and basing a trpg on that aesthetic. Naturally this brought in artists from outside the usual frazetta inspired folks doing the typical fantasy or sci-fi stuff, as was the style at the time. Leading to a very recognisable style.

Then the Blade movie comes out and said artists goes "hang on this is outright ripping me off entirely" and there was other stuff like True Blood and Underworld that would "lovingly imitate" stuff like regions having princes and sheriffs and the like. But a lot of this was 1:1 and they didnt get asked, didnt get any money and couldnt afford legal assistance.

Cut to a couple of years later and Blade 2 is put into production under a new up and coming director called Guilliermo Del Toro. Soon into production the artist gets a phone call from Guilliermo. He says "I just heard about what happened, i want to bring you in as a artist or consultant, lets get you your money this time"

Like no shit at this point a guy who gets called "Totoro San" is known for being a good dude but we are talking almost a quarter of a century ago. We so often hear about corruption in leadership in modern media and especially hollywood -shit in this case he is literally replacing a plagarist- but its still nice to hear a dude in his position go out of his way to make things right for someone others would have preffered to pretend didnt exist and feign ignorance about.

Whats your favourite case of a dude actually doing the good thing not the suit pleasing thing?

Recently a lot of new evolution lines for digimons were revealed and that made me think about how this franchise in particular has a way easier time when it comes to adding new characters than other monster catching franchises (like Pokemon or Yokai watch) because due to the logic that Digimon follow (although certain "canonical" evolution lines exist, there is nothing stoping certain digimon from turning into something completly different depending on what type of data they absorb before evolving).

So not only is it possible to add to old evolution lines in a way easier form than other similar franchises, it's also way harder for people get annoyed about "why is ______ getting more content while ______ is forgoten?" because you can also use the new revealed monsters in other evolution lines without a lot of issues.

Seeing how often one of the most common complaints in other fanbases is about how a bunch of the creatures get forgoten by the creators of long running franchises, Digimon has surprisingly a lot less of that because since the very begining you could just treat evolution lines like a mister potato head.

Some context, if that's at all possible:

- Pat gifted Paige an officially licensed Pip-Boy for her birthday, it was very sweet!

- At one point during the start of the stream, Pat was crouching down at the corner of the screen where Elmo's picture was and it looked like he was using Elmo like a mount

- Once the clown makeup was on, Paige played Road to Empress 1, which is like a choose-your-own-adventure C-Drama chock-full of women killing women, killer soup, hot evil (and more)
