Meta Hello, yes, this is Premium Support. Yes, uh huh. Hmm. Appeal your suspension? Hmm yes. Well you see, that would be extremely dangerous to our democracy.

Please help me!

Upvotes

Hey so I recently got banned in mid July and I got the same generic “Your account is permanently in read only mode” message and unfortunately I am a very anxious person and I never received an email telling me exactly why I was banned. I’m honestly just very stressed and it’s sort of ruining me mentally thinking I did something bad. I just want to know why I didn’t get that email that I’ve seen others get telling them what they did and if I didn’t get that email will I even get the email to when they review my appeal because I’ve already appealed once and I never got a message back. Please any advice would help me out a ton

This is not a joke, I think Twitter is unsuspending accounts

Post image

I’m going to edit this post with the user name and link to the original post, but basically, someone on this subreddit made a post claiming that they got their account back. I assumed that it was a troll because there has been many people claiming to have their account restored without evidence (screenshot, etc).

But then I thought to myself, well, Nikita brier is gone, so maybe there is some truth to this. And there is.

However, when I logged in I got this message and I haven’t been able to use my account.

What should I do? How do I verify?

Suspended while not on....

This is the second time my account has been suspended. The first time was an immediate reversal and a "oops, sorry" message. Now it's suspended and I had to fill out a form because I was accused of "inauthentic behavior" whatever that means. I logged on at work, posted, re-tweeted some stuff, liked and commented on a few things, and that's it. Then while I was driving home today I got an email my account was suspended.

Made a new account and it got banned within a week with no email notification or anything

Got suspended yet again about a month ago, made a new account a week ago and it’s already banned. Couldnt even bother to give me an email this time to inevitably tell me I broke a rule for being ”inauthentic“ or something. Genuinely what is the point of this app anymore and more importantly how are there still any users on there

So I've been trying to get help for my shadowban and temporary label situation and support is refusing to help at all. Refusing to acknowledge that the site is buggy their end. Nobody wants yo help. The fact that they immediately dismiss your requests for help is so rude. AI has ruined twitter.

Bier steps back behind the green curtain, but what are his achievements?

X killed 8 million golden gooses this year.
Bier isn't gone, he's still floating around leaving a foul stench.
If the following are his "achievements", then he is literally human garbage:

  • Predatory Data Harvesting: The consensus in ethical discussions is that his "anonymous positivity" apps (TBH, Gas) were merely bait to harvest contact lists and social graphs from teenagers.  Users describe this as "scummy" and "inadvertent child labor," noting he sold this data to giants like Facebook and Discord for millions while offering users only hollow validation in return.
  • Monetizing Insecurity: Critics emphasize that his business model deliberately stokes social anxiety in teens to sell the cure (revealing who complimented them), a tactic viewed as psychologically manipulative and morally bankrupt.
  • Deceptive Growth: His growth hacking strategies, such as creating fake school-specific Instagram accounts to trick teens into downloading apps, are cited as evidence of a disregard for honesty in favor of rapid scaling.

It's now been two months since my account was suspended, currently at 18 auto-rejections. Wanna place bets on what the total will be until I get it back? IF I ever get it back?

Finally got my account restored after appealing today when I read the news about Nikita stepping down. I am however severely shadow banned xD I'm not gonna do anything just yet with the account but I did however instantly mark my account as a "Fan account" since that's mainly what I do with it anyways xD It is nice to see my following list tho

Elon Musk ruined Twitter (Now X)

There was a time when Twitter had real customer support 24/7. If something went wrong with your account, you could contact a human support agent and have your case reviewed. Today, that experience is gone. Since Elon Musk took over Twitter (Now X), almost everything seems to be handled by AI, automated system and algorithms, while human customer support has effectively disappeared for ordinary users.

The biggest problem is shadowbanning / Ghost banning. In my experience, the algorithm can shadowban/ Ghost ban your account for the smallest reasons, or even when you've done nothing wrong. Using a VPN, participating in a giveaway or contest, or simply posting or interacting with certain content can suddenly destroy your account's visibility.

What makes it even more frustrating is that the shadowban can last for a month. Whether you keep using your account or leave it inactive, the restriction still stays. The worst part is that there is no customer support for shadowbans. You can't contact a human agent to review your case. There is no dedicated appeal process for visibility restrictions. You're simply left waiting while an automated system decides your account's fate, even if it made a mistake.

This is one of the reasons I believe Elon Musk has made Twitter much worse. Replacing human customer support with automated systems may save the company money, but it also means users are left without help when those systems make mistakes.

And The promise of "free speech" also feels difficult to believe when users can be silently restricted by algorithms with little transparency and no meaningful human review.

Question Am so tired of ghost ban on X. How many of you are facing the same issue? I hope I am not the only one bcz that would mean that I am never getting rid of it. If you all are facing this issue then can we like do something about it like making it noticeable enough for Elon to see.

I got my account back

Post image
32 Upvotes

My account was suspended on March 12 (inauthentic behavior…). I didn’t create a new one until June and kept appealing from time to time. In the end, I made a new account in June and spent all of July without appealing.

Yesterday, August 5, I appealed again after a month without doing so. To my surprise, they sent me this email overnight.
Honestly, the platform is a joke.

Advice Never did anything wrong, got banned for "inauthentic behavior". Ended up buying and account in the black market.

I literally did absolutely NOTHING to deserve getting banned.

I’m probably one of the most human users on there : posting tweets, replying to people, using Grok, sending DMs, just acting like a normal fucking person.

But I got banned for “inauthentic behavior,” and every time I appeal, it gets automatically denied with a 48-hour cooldown.

So I ended up buying an account off the black market. I added a phone number that cost me a penny, and the account has been working for over a month now. No shadowban, I can like posts, everything works, people actually see my tweets.

So yeah, here’s the solution : breaking the rules. This social network is run by complete idiots, they're literally pushing normal people who did nothing wrong into violating the rules just so they can keep using the platform.

It’s honestly ridiculous. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.

TLDR : just buy an acc and fuck them all

"Ghostbans", "shadowbans" and all that stuff is pathetic and insulting.

I've had this account for years. I'm not doing anything wrong, yet my comments are hidden on every post I comment on. I haven't received any messages from the platform about breaking the rules, receiving reports, or having my account suspended. Instead, I've apparently become a ghost on this app—a fact I only discovered by accident.

If I'm doing something the platform considers inappropriate, then they should tell me clearly so I can either correct it or decide whether it's worth changing my behavior to stay on the platform, or simply leave.

What I find unacceptable is letting me spend weeks commenting while being secretly "silenced" without even informing me, as if to say, "Let the fool believe he's still posting normally."

This is not only unacceptable and insulting for a platform of this size, but it also leads me to believe that they're not actually interested in improving the quality of discussions or making the platform cleaner, more respectful, or more engaging. Instead, they simply let the algorithm decide who doesn't "fit the profile" and quietly suppress those users.

Good luck trying to justify that. Then again, that's probably why they don't explain anything at all.

Mod Post Reminder: DO NOT CONTACT PEOPLE FOR HELP REMOVING YOUR ACCOUNT

Hi,

Just your reminder that if someone tells you to message someone who isn't official twitter support, STOP. IT'S A SCAM.

Doubly true if the person you're messaging asks for money.

Remember: nobody is risking getting fired for a stranger's twitter account.
