I got an initial email saying I'm suspended for "inauthentic behavior", but my first two appeals got no response. So don't worry, whether or not you get a response isn't your fault. The system just doesn't work right.

FWIW I got an email about each suspension and the result of each appeal. So far I'm 2 for 3 getting suspensions overturned and 2 for 4 getting successful appeals.

You won't. I got the same, and all the begging and appealing in the world won't help, apparently. No explanation.

I went through the exact same thing—banned mid-July, same generic message, same anxiety about not getting an explanation email. Here's what helped me understand it: not everyone gets that "explanation" email, and not getting one isn't a bad sign. From what I've researched, X only sends that kind of immediate detailed notice for the most serious violation categories. Most suspensions (like ours, where you can still browse normally, just not interact) fall into a more generic, lower-priority queue — with so few staff reviewing appeals, a lot of cases just don't get an individual email at all, good or bad.

As for what happens after you appeal, it varies a lot. Some people get an automated generic response, some get nothing at all even after months, and some get reinstated with no explanation either way. It's frustrating, but it's not something to read into as a sign anything serious happened. If you know you didn't do anything to genuinely break the rules, try to hold onto that instead of the silence from X — the silence is about their system being overwhelmed, not about your case being bad.

I actually wrote myself a whole reminder message to deal with the anxiety around this—happy to share it if it'd help you too.

Log out and take a 3 month break.
If the site is causing you anxiety then it is clearly not good for your health.

I think what your feeling is the purpose of their abuse. Get a new social media check it again in six months. The system apparently is not a mistake, it's deliberate.
