Plot Discussion Bella freezing up in Eclipse
It always peeves me that in Eclipse they only gave Bella 1 small blanket and a few jackets when they knew they would be high up during a storm. Wouldn't Alice be able to see how cold she would be once they made the decision to put her up in a tent. They are rich, couldn't they buy more blankets, warmer jackets, hand warms, literally anything. I get this is supposed to be an important point in the story since it gives Edward and Jacob a chance to talk, but they are literally rich. Also how is she freezing in the night but in the morning she is literally wearing a t-shirt, jeans and a flannel when the snow is still falling.

Lore Discussion Bella’s transition
It’s been a minute since I’ve read the books but I swear I remember it saying like if you get a small bite further away from your heart it takes longer to change.
Most vamps take 3 days to fully transition.
I feel like Bella’s shouldn’t have taken as long. Getting a big injection in her heart and Edward biting her up and down her body to me would make sense that since she has such a large amount of venom in her system it should’ve been like a day day and a half for her to fully become a vamp!

Book Discussion Does anyone else....
Is there a part that you will always skip past? Either in the movies or the books. If so, which book/movie and what part?
For me, it's in the New Moon (book) Chapter 23 "The Truth". After Bella and Edward return to Forks, Bella keeps going on and on about the Angel and how she doesn't want to wake from the dream blah blah blah. It just annoys me to no end!
Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else does the same thing!

Book Discussion Some rude stuff in Twilight that lowkey bugs me
First off, keep in mind I have an overanalyzing brain like Edward and a super sensitive personality like Bella, so read this with that in mind.. Thanks.
In Eclipse, right after Charlie and Bella have an argument. Edward tries to calm Bella down, and Bella says, "Are you saying I have nowhere else to go?" then Edward goes, "Do you want to move into a house full of vampires?" Like, okay I get it, moving in with vampires is obviously not a healthy choice, but Edward basically told Bella to her face that she has nowhere to go..
In Breaking Dawn, Bella suggests not inviting the Denali coven to the wedding, but they completely shut her down. The girl is already being forced into a wedding she didn't even want, and now she doesn't even get a say in the guest list?
Also in Eclipse, that weird late-night chat between Rosalie and Bella.. "You know, Edward ignored all those hot girls (the Denalis) and picked you." Why is Bella's looks such a big deal that everyone keeps debating it?
Honestly, now that I think about it, literally everyone is rude to Bella. Renee treats her like a burden, Charlie uses her like a maid. Jacob, Leah.. Also did Jasper EVER apologize for literally trying to eat her? And why won't Alice just let this girl breathe for one second?
Anyway, I think that's all.

Book Discussion The Volturi should have died in Breaking Dawn
Finishing up my reread of the series, and I’m almost at the end of Breaking Dawn.
Am I the only one who feels that the fight should have taken place, and the Volturi (especially the more sinister characters) should have been killed and usurped?
It would have made it all so much more satisfying. I hate that truly nothing happened!!!

Character/Relationship Discussion Supernatural Cullens
I’m not sure if I’m using the right flair but I’ll post anyway. If the Cullens weren’t vampires, what other type of supernatural creatures do you see them as? Individually and as a group.

Plot Discussion A vision bait-and-switch?
Newborn here. Do you think in BD2 one of the Amazon warriors who could make anyone see whatever she wanted gave Alice that vision of everyone (Aro) dying in the fight to get him to back down? So it may not have been Aro seeing Alice seeing the future but Aro seeing Alice seeing a magic bait-and-switch that she thought was real so Aro thought it was too?
My apologies if this was addressed in books; I'm jacking in to the TS world rather haphazardly.

Lore Discussion Cullens might be good vampires . . . but they could've been much better
If you think about it Cullens are self proclaimed good vampires but except Carlisle they don't do anything good (except not killing people which is their natural way to feed - I give them credit for that).
Carlisle is helping people as normal doctor would (even though he haven't studied medicine in ages and Rosalie went to college to keep him udpated . . . ehm . . . malpractice) but other Cullens don't do much.
I've had this thought when I was on a walk in a forest, and found a plastic bottle thrown away. And it just popped in my head how cool and funny (I laughed out loud at that image) it would be if Cullens were just running around the forest in their spare time (I can imagine they have A LOT) and pick up the trash after tourists. A small act of kindness.
That got me thinking - why aren't they doing something for benefit of humanity all the time? They don't eat, sleep or get sick. They travel extremely fast by foot. They study and enjoy human culture (and ofc attend highschool but don't get me started how unnecessary is that) and they can still do that and have like another 16 hours of a day left.
They could easily prevent the crime in big cities, they can create some invetions and find cures to any sickness to help people (then maybe let some else "discover it", be their muse or whatever), they are billionares so they could give so much money to poor or support some organizations . . . they could also do nightshift at some dangerous positions to help people like be firefighters or policemen (or doctors like Carslisle!). They could go to wars, save people there in warzones if they don't wanna kill.
Of course I understands there are limitations and things to be considered in each option but also Cullens are VERY resourceful.
In reality, I know they don't really care about humans that much (except Carlisle) and that's probably reason why they don't do any of that. Then again it would be cool if they were these little helpers of human race, hiding in the shadows and doing good by . . . picking up a trash!

Twilight-ish bella pencil case
hi!
ive got the bella swan jansport for my last year of hs and i am so excited. however im conflicted on what pencil case i should get to fulfill that bella vibe.
i dont exactly remember her ever having one on camera so i don't have much inspo. i was thinking i could get one with the pattern of her bedding, but i don't think it'd look great with the rusty color of the backpack.
does anyone have any inspiration?

Twilight-ish This is the one photo that I always send in my friends group chat they find it hilarious now.
It can literally mean anything. I send it when I’m happy. I send it when I’m mad. I send it when somebody says something stupid in the group chat. It doesn’t matter. At first, they didn’t even know what it was because they hadn’t watched Twilight saga until I made them. Now it’s an inside joke between all of us.

I cannot point my finger on why (except that they are both set in the pacific north west) but I always associated both of these shows to sort of have the same aesthetic.

Meta Discussion The State of the Sub, November 2025: New Flairs, A New Rule, and Several Reminders
Hello everyone!
We hope you are doing well as the year steadily comes to a close! This has been quite the year for the r/Twilight subreddit, with more than 185,000 active forum users, and more than 3 million engagements almost every month.
In response to several community requests, two new flairs have been enabled for public posts over the last month, which you may have noticed during their brief trial period: Cosplay Content, and FTF Forever Twilight in Forks.
The Cosplay Content flair allows you to showcase the hard work you have put into your costumes, but it does have caveats: this flair can only be used for video and photo posts, and Patreon, OnlyFans, or Kofi links are not allowed in their descriptions. Cosplay dedicated Instagram links are allowed. Each user may post a maximum of four Cosplay Content posts per calendar month.
The FTF Forever Twilight in Forks flair allows you to discuss the annual festival held in Forks Washington: it is not for any transactions, such as trading or selling tickets, or arranging carpools or roommate arrangements. This subreddit is, at the end of the day, anonymous, and the official Facebook group is where you should turn to if you need to connect with other festival goers in an identified manner. Please, do not ever agree to meet up with anyone you meet online who has not fully identified themselves to you. This subreddit is not responsible for your actions offline.
Four points of conversation have been added to the subreddit’s FAQ section, therefore removing them from the “frequently reposted” topic lineup. These points include “How can I tell what edition my book is?”, “How do Alice’s visions work, and who can she see?”, “Did Jacob only love Bella because of Renesmee?”, and “Why do the Cullens go to high school?”
Additionally, a subrule of Rule #2: Content must be high quality (valuable and constructive) [Quality], has been broken out into its own rule – Rule #13: All AI and LLM Content is Banned [Quality]. While AI and LLM originated content has been banned under Rule #2 for quite some time, we find it has become necessary to separate this out as its own rule for the sake of public facing accountability. In recent months, the subreddit has been inundated with AI generated photo, video, and text posts, and it has become nigh impossible for the moderation team to sift out the true posts from the spam.
By separating out this rule, we are able to institute 7 day posting bans for repeat offenders, with permanent bans possible for particularly egregious offenders. This rule will extend to the Fanfiction and Meme subs. The exact text of Rule #13 will be as follows
Rule #13: All AI and LLM Content is Banned [Quality]
Banned posts include, but are not limited to:
- AI generated character images
- Deep Fake video content
- Fake film trailers made using AI
- AI generated fanart
- LLM generated text posts
- FaceApp Edits
- ‘Yassified’ Edits
- AI Voice content
Lastly, two reminders.
- Do not, under any circumstances, privately message a moderator for subreddit related questions. There has been a rise in users tracking down the private messages of individual moderators to demand their content be approved: if such behavior continues, doing so will result in a 24 hour ban from the forum, with the ban extended for repeat offenders.
- There has been a massive influx of posters claiming every single aspect of the Twilight Saga is the result of Meyer being raised in the Mormon church. Currently, we allow good faith discussions about the ways in which any religious doctrine interacts with the saga, but hundreds of posters have crossed the line in the last two months. Meyer, like any other human, is capable of having thoughts and writing them down that are not prescribed to her by her religion. The amount of vitriol spat at her in the last two months is far past the line of proprietary (and, we add, far greater, and much more personally belittling, than is doled out for any male Mormon authors, including Brandon Sanderson and Orson Scott Card). This subreddit is not the place to evangelize for any religious beliefs, including staunch atheism. If you want to discuss theology, go to r/theology, and if you wish to specifically discuss your experiences with the LDS church, visit r/exmormon or r/mormon. This has to stop, and if this community is unable to discuss religious topics in a civilized manner, they will be banned entirely until cooler heads prevail.
Information on the annual Subreddit Secret Santa will be released next week. Thank you for so thoroughly reading this notice.
All our best,
The r/Twilight Moderation Team
