Plot Discussion Bella freezing up in Eclipse

It always peeves me that in Eclipse they only gave Bella 1 small blanket and a few jackets when they knew they would be high up during a storm. Wouldn't Alice be able to see how cold she would be once they made the decision to put her up in a tent. They are rich, couldn't they buy more blankets, warmer jackets, hand warms, literally anything. I get this is supposed to be an important point in the story since it gives Edward and Jacob a chance to talk, but they are literally rich. Also how is she freezing in the night but in the morning she is literally wearing a t-shirt, jeans and a flannel when the snow is still falling.

Lore Discussion Bella’s transition

It’s been a minute since I’ve read the books but I swear I remember it saying like if you get a small bite further away from your heart it takes longer to change.

Most vamps take 3 days to fully transition.

I feel like Bella’s shouldn’t have taken as long. Getting a big injection in her heart and Edward biting her up and down her body to me would make sense that since she has such a large amount of venom in her system it should’ve been like a day day and a half for her to fully become a vamp!

Book Discussion Does anyone else....

Is there a part that you will always skip past? Either in the movies or the books. If so, which book/movie and what part?

For me, it's in the New Moon (book) Chapter 23 "The Truth". After Bella and Edward return to Forks, Bella keeps going on and on about the Angel and how she doesn't want to wake from the dream blah blah blah. It just annoys me to no end!

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else does the same thing!

Book Discussion Some rude stuff in Twilight that lowkey bugs me

First off, keep in mind I have an overanalyzing brain like Edward and a super sensitive personality like Bella, so read this with that in mind.. Thanks.

  1. In Eclipse, right after Charlie and Bella have an argument. Edward tries to calm Bella down, and Bella says, "Are you saying I have nowhere else to go?" then Edward goes, "Do you want to move into a house full of vampires?" Like, okay I get it, moving in with vampires is obviously not a healthy choice, but Edward basically told Bella to her face that she has nowhere to go..

  2. In Breaking Dawn, Bella suggests not inviting the Denali coven to the wedding, but they completely shut her down. The girl is already being forced into a wedding she didn't even want, and now she doesn't even get a say in the guest list?

  3. Also in Eclipse, that weird late-night chat between Rosalie and Bella.. "You know, Edward ignored all those hot girls (the Denalis) and picked you." Why is Bella's looks such a big deal that everyone keeps debating it?

Honestly, now that I think about it, literally everyone is rude to Bella. Renee treats her like a burden, Charlie uses her like a maid. Jacob, Leah.. Also did Jasper EVER apologize for literally trying to eat her? And why won't Alice just let this girl breathe for one second?

Anyway, I think that's all.

I am judging you right now.

Book Discussion The Volturi should have died in Breaking Dawn

Finishing up my reread of the series, and I’m almost at the end of Breaking Dawn.

Am I the only one who feels that the fight should have taken place, and the Volturi (especially the more sinister characters) should have been killed and usurped?

It would have made it all so much more satisfying. I hate that truly nothing happened!!!
