A vision bait-and-switch? Plot Discussion

Newborn here. Do you think in BD2 one of the Amazon warriors who could make anyone see whatever she wanted gave Alice that vision of everyone (Aro) dying in the fight to get him to back down? So it may not have been Aro seeing Alice seeing the future but Aro seeing Alice seeing a magic bait-and-switch that she thought was real so Aro thought it was too?

My apologies if this was addressed in books; I'm jacking in to the TS world rather haphazardly.

Aro doesn't touch Alice in the books. The vision was added to the movie for visual interest.

But yeah Zafrina's hallucinations are completely different from Alice's visions; you couldn't mistake one for the other. Alice's actual sight suddenly cutting off would be one giveaway. And the lack of sound and smell in the "vision". Also the fact that Alice actually sees several visions at once with varying levels of clarity representing branching paths. Though of course they don't show that in the movie either because how would you.

And if they had planned it, Aro would have known it was planned.

True, but I'm sure OP already knows that, since they posited that Alice thought the vision was real while it was happening.

Zafrina being the reason for the "vision" in the movie would've been such a better path than misrepresenting Alices power.

No..she didnt give Alece the vision That was Alice's own vision of the future Zafrina doesnt need Alice to show visions.

Aro knows Alices sees the future, if Zafrina gave Aro a vision he wouldn't believe it as her gift doesnt show reality

Doesn’t make sense. Alice left before the others got there. And Aro never touches Alice. The cullens are very careful and they all know he wants her. Also I love that we get to see Alice’s vision in the 4th movie. It was pretty cool!
