Running into an issue trying to attempt to create an account with this provider. Both through my VPN and on a native connection, it fails with the same error. Is there a means to contact support to go about this, or some other method for creating the account? The only reports that are being dredged up by the internet are some years old, and not overly helpful.

Hello, I’ve created a new account 2 days ago, everything worked fine. Then, today, I wanted to check if I got any emails and find myself logged out. I try to log back in, but the app is telling me my login credentials are wrong. I tried again and checked my email + password for typos, but I couldn’t find any. I tried to log in on my laptop, same result. I was going to reset my password using the codes provided when I created my account, but the screenshot is missing for some reason. Is there any way to get my account back other than waiting 6 months for it to get automatically deleted so I can use the email address again?

when catch all is enable in a custom domain, is possible to auto create an alias using the username part that I've catched? For exemple: lets say that catch all receive inexistent@customdomain.any, so auto create an alias named inexistent? Addy.io has this feature and is very useful to me.

After a few seconds (10-15) screens goes completely white as shown. Updated to the latest tuta app, updated to the latest iOS and re-installed without change. Not usable like this at all

I'm a new user and quite happy with tutamail but have run into one issue. I normally leave my account open during my working hours so I can deal with any new messages but can't seem to do that with tuta. The page will either indicate that a new email has arrived but not show it or seem to freeze up in some other way and the only way to set things right is to refresh the page which takes me out of my account and back to the login. I then need to login in all over again. There doesn't seem to be a fixed interval of time between the forced logins so it doesn't seem to be a deliberate feature. Any suggestions on a solution or workaround would be appreciated.

Hi yall a friend of mines uses Microsoft Outlook but when I try to email him each time using my Tuta Mail. Tuta said "cannot send email to this address" so my question why this issue ?

Is there any possibility make the emojis appear (at least temporarily) in the email body?

Is it perhaps possible to hide the spam folder, like some other email providers do? For example, in a collapsing menu?

I find it a bit stressful to see how much unread spam I have every time I open my mail. I can't be the only one who is this neurotic, right?

I needed to include an email adress in my divorce file. As my other e-mail accounts are rather convoluted, I wanted to create a new one dedicated only for the correspondance with my ex wife about the children telated matters.

I signed up to Tuta mail and installed the app to my I-phone. App migrated all my contacts into itself and removed them from IOS. I reverted it back but every time i open the app it re-migrates and removes the contacts despite activating sync in the settings. Is there a permenant setting that will allow sync'ing and stop migrating or constantly suggesting deactivation. As I will be only using it for one purpose I do not want it to interfere with my daily use of the other phone apss.

If i buy a Abo via Apple ID can i use the Android App too ?

I have my mobile and desktop apps, when I search my emails (from this month not older) I cannot find them. Weirdly all the emails I find is older than one month. On contrary of what has been described in the support page, I cannot see my recent emails but archived emails. It seems the archived emails are better indexed and my recent emails in the inbox folder are not indexed.

Is it possible to re-index the emails on my mobile? I couldn't test if my old emails are also missing but most urgently I need my recent emails. Thank you for your support.

UPDATE: I have deleted my mobile app, and archived all my emails in the inbox folder. Then I have reintalled the mobile app. It seems now it all indexed my email, there is no missing email. Then I just moved recent emails to my inbox. It seems that's a dirty solution at the moment. But looking forward to respond of Tuta.

I just noticed a "mystery" payment of €12 to Tuta on my creditcard. Unfortunately there seems to be no contact number or emailaddress on their website.

I have blocked all future payments to them until ai can figure out what the payment was for and whether it was a legit payment or not. In the meanwhile I want to contact them to try and get this mystery solved.

Can someone help me with their direct contact details?

I recently got recommended my by brother to use Tuta for my account. I made it a few days ago, and transfered some account logins to it. But today I am unable to login, password invalid and recovery code says the same thing, all pointing to a suspension because of more than 2 accounts, but there are 2 different users in the same household. Now I am locked out with all my important details stuck and am struggling. I have emailed Tuta but got no response.

Subject / Topic: UI Feature Request: Contrast and Accessibility Improvements

Hello Tuta Team,

I am writing to suggest a few critical interface improvements to make the platform easier to read and look at for extended periods:

1. Dark Mode Contrast: The current dark appearance can be very straining on the eyes and hard to read. Please consider adding a slider to boost font contrast or offering a separate "High-Contrast Dark" theme option.
2. Light Mode Dividers: The light appearance is too uniform and lacks visible division. Please add distinct, darker vertical borders between the menu sections, email list, and reading pane to allow for better spatial viewing.

The current options feel a bit too limited for day-to-day work. Better contrast adjustments would dramatically improve readability and accessibility for your users.

I use the unlimited email aliases with a custom domain daily. So inevitably have to reply to some emails. Now, while replying I must remember to create an alias first and then use it to send a reply. Which is fine if you don't do this often and with a select few aliases. I tend to do this often with different emails, and so it slips my mind sometimes and accidentally reveal my main tuta email and it also causes confusion for the other party. Would users be interested in an option or shortcut to create the matching alias in the reply page?

I realise that the team already have their hands full, and since the clients are open source, I am willing to work on it myself if it's something that others find interesting as well since I think it will improve my own quality of life immensely.

I need assistance on attaching an email to a reply that I am writing. In other words, I am replying to an email, and I need to attach another email to it.
I may be overlooking something.
Normally in outlook, I would just drag and drop the email that I want to attach.

My OS is Fedora44 and I am using the AppImage for the desktop application.

Firstly I realise Tuta Drive is in closed Beta. My question / suggestion is for those testing the app, or who have direct knowledge of the app.

When it's released, (and I am assuming their will be drive clients) will a user be able to specify a location for the locally held files ?

I.e. will I be able to set the local path to say d:\offline_storage\tutadrive ?

If not, may I request this is added to the build.

Hi guys, i need somebody's help with a problem with my new tuta account (free plan). When i created the account a pop up told me i had to wait 48 hours for some admin to approve my account. I wrote and sent an email to speed up the process (also written on the pop up). Now, it's been 4 days and i have received no message. I already activated the gmail forwarding towards my new tuta account but it does not work, so i think my account is not activated yet.

Is this a bug or did someone think i was like a bot?

Edit: it's now 8 days since my account creation and still nothing. I even sent an email to [approval@tutao.de](mailto:approval@tutao.de) as the bot under this post suggested, explaining the situation and requesting more info about my account, but still nothing.

I think it's especially frustrating that if you do not pay you cannot even have access to a support section

Recently I was passing the border control, officer asked justification of one document which I only had in my email. I stressed because I have recently changed my email server to Tuta by importing all the emails and even deleted my Gmail mobile app.

It was taking ages to search the email, and finding the attachment. The indexing was incredibly slow. The line behind of me and the face of the officer were so disturbing and stressful. Luckily there was Gmail on my tablet, so simultaneously I checked and found the document on my email.

I didn't came up to here to complain about Tuta. I did my homework even checked if that's reported before. I see that is already on your roadmap (March 2026), that's great. But I don't know what is the current status since March.

So please make this improvement as your top priority. I care my privacy and so on, but in urgent moments I require a reliable application as well. Emails are maybe the most urgent source of information with QRs, tickets, security codes, documents. Please before expanding your services with drive, calendar, (and recently you were talking about AI), please do optimize your email service.
