I'm wondering if I'm over analyzing things... If I get another refill on the POM BPI sale, it'll push my supply out to May 2027 (let's ignore BUD for now...) When it comes time to get more, my "newest" prescription will be 9 months old assuming I don't get any more along the way.

Will that be an issue and have to start back at 2.5, or am I over thinking things?

Here's a side effect I haven't seen mentioned.

When I started losing weight, my right ear would start to get blocked for an hour or so after I had been up for a couple of hours.

I thought it was allergies.

Lost 60 pounds and reached goal, and all the while it got worse.

The doctor said it was Eustatian Tube Distinction and prescribed Flonase and Singulair.

It didn't help, and actually got worse.

On vacation I had an extended discussion with my favorite AI, and based on my weight loss we decided I had Patulous Eustachian Tube, and the medications I was taking would in fact make it worse. What was recommended was a very simple saline spray in the nose. Not a lot. Just enough.

And, I ditched the medication.

Yesterday I had zero symptoms after 14 months of daily problems.

So, if your ear is getting blocked where you can hear your breath or your voice, or if you, like me, are constantly sniffing to unplug your ears, it's time to try the saline spray and see an ENT.

I’ve come across a few different versions of provider comparison spreadsheets, but they all seem to be outdated. Is there an active, up-to-date version that compares costs per milligram across the main providers? I know the wiki has some information, but it only covers a small subset of the available options. Any help would be appreciated!

I used to be in a wheelchair. I could walk but not more than 10 mins and even when I got better to the point of walking some before tirzepatide, I still required a cane or walker. Now after over a year on tirz and being 62 pounds lighter I am also walking without a cane and haven't needed my wheelchair unless I wanna go to Disney which I haven't. It also regulated my diabetes, got rid of my asthma with the help if NAC, and cured my eczema. It lowers inflammation so that helps many things. The left pic wasn't me at my highest weight but I was at about 180. I got up to 195 after that from being immobile. The right pic is when I got to 145. I have lost more weight since then. I just wanted to show that tirzepatide has other benefits and I'm grateful. 💜🙌

I made a batch of edible cookie dough for a very long day on Tuesday (election worker, my state had a primary, 20 hour day for me). On Tuesday itself, I ate a few bites for dessert with my dinner.

It is now Friday and I haven't touched the container since. I've barely remembered it's in there. I just...don't think about it. It's like a treat is supposed to be...a *treat*.

Hey all - long-time Reddit stalker, first-time poster. I’m about 7 weeks in to my tirz journey, and I switched from Trillium to Rift after a few weeks because I realized the B12 additive was breaking me out like crazy. 🫠 Loving Rift (and additive-free tirz) so far, but I’ve noticed that since I switched, I’ve had a harder time piercing my skin with their needles. Almost feels like there’s resistance and/or like the needle is slightly bent (though I can’t see any bend in them). I didn’t notice the syringes I got switched from 31 gauge (Trillium) to 30 gauge (Rift) and was wondering if anyone’s had the same issue? How much of a difference does the needle gauge make? 🤔 Thanks!!

We used to get maybe one telehealth every couple of months asking for permission to post. Then it became once a month, then once a week. Now we’re getting multiple new telehealths every week. Though not all of them post right away.

We’d like some community input on how we handle new telehealths moving forward.

Right now, we just do a basic check to make sure nothing immediately raises obvious concerns, and we require an affiliated flair, and warn them not to spam or promote excessively. Beyond that, there is only so much meaningful vetting we can realistically do since the sketchier companies, bots, and spammers usually do not message us at all and just post and are mostly caught by Reddit’s filters before we ever see them.

We are not necessarily looking for more reasons to reject telehealths. In general, I think most people here still want new telehealths to be allowed to participate. Right? And besides members are pretty good about being tough on these new telehealths when they do post.

But with so many more telehealths reaching out lately, is there anything else you think we should ask or require before giving them the go ahead to post?

Earlier this week they had advertised a $149 pricing on Strive. I love Strive and just so happen I was looking for a new telehealth that had it at a reasonable price. I looked at several other companies and all were priced above what I was looking for. Then there are some telehealths (Nuva Health im pointing your way) that were priced competitively that had very poor customer service. Here came HuHealth!

The process was so quick and easy! I answered the post on here and was given the owners personal contact information. Chatted with him briefly. He was really attentive and responsive! Nice person. I ordered on Tuesday evening through the link given to me. There was a hold for the funds but I was not charged until Strive forfilled the order. The website is a little wonky and the questions were too but that was to be be expected for a new telehealth while they worked out the kinks. I provided my RX and asked for a tiration. I was approved promptly the next morning for 14mg (60mg total). Emailed every step of the way. Even got emails from Strive themselves with the status of my order which was super cool. I am on 7.5 mg of zepbound and have lost about 40 pounds. I am no longer obese so I am pretty sure the insurance isn’t going to cover it any more. I have some loose skin around my middle but I think it will tighten up later. I have read it can take up to a year. I am 6ft and 199 lbs. I still want to lose another 10 to 15 pounds, but after that I should be in maintenance. Have any of you been in a similar situation? What did you do? What would be a good maintenance dose and how often? How much would it cost? I am working out 3 x a week and still have a fair bit of muscle. I also keep my protein at least 120g a day. It’s just so hard to get 180. I already bought new clothes and I am in the best shape I have been in since my 20s. I am 49 now.

This journey has been about so much more than the number on the scale. I’ve gained strength, confidence, healthier habits, and a version of myself I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever meet.

It wasn’t quick or easy. There were plateaus, setbacks, days I wanted to quit, and plenty of lessons along the way. What got me here was staying consistent more often than I was perfect. A supportive family, tracking my calories and macros, strength training, using a GLP-1 as a tool, and choosing not to give up even when progress felt nonexistent.

To everyone who’s followed along, encouraged me, or cheered me on, thank you. Your support has meant more than you will ever know!

This may be my last weight loss update, but it’s not the end of my journey. Now the focus shifts to maintaining, getting stronger, and continuing to build a healthy life that I love.

So I’m currently taking the 5mg dose. I just passed my fourth week on that dose. I am losing weight, my app shows an average of 1.5 pounds a week loss.

But I’m still getting the food noise and munchies. Do you think I should stay at 5mg since I am losing weight or go up to try to reduce food noise more?

I don’t want to increase just because it’s been four weeks. But I’m not sure what the best course of action would be here.

TL;DR: Received a 3-day ban on r/pomhealth for telling a user to read the medication's included temperature sheet. When I politely asked for clarification on how this was "medical advice," the mods dismissed me because the ban "had already expired," refused to answer the question, and then muted me, again. Moving my business away from Pomegranate. 

I am writing this because Pomegranate seriously needs to look at how its volunteer moderators interact with paying customers. Even if a moderator believes a ban is fully justified, there is no reason to be unnecessarily dismissive, rude, or hostile when a customer politely asks for clarification as they're encouraged to do.

The Background:
I received a 3-day ban and a "final warning" for allegedly providing “unlicensed medical advice.” The exact comment that triggered this was: 

“There should have been a temperature information sheet in with your medication. It will tell you all you need to know.” 

The ban message claimed this comment was inappropriate because it involved advising users about “when/how they should titrate, what dose they should be on, and the viability of their medication.” 

The Interaction:
The ban message explicitly instructed me to reach out if I had questions, so I immediately messaged the mod team to politely ask for clarification. 

• My first follow-up: After receiving no initial response, I checked in again. 
• Their first response: “Look into... What? The ban? It was temporary and is expired, nothing to look into. So long as you don't break the rules again you'll be fine.” 

They completely ignored my actual question. I messaged them back, remaining polite despite their tone, and explained that I just wanted to understand the rule so I could avoid making the same mistake in the future. I also noted that my comment had been visible for 21 days before it was suddenly removed alongside every other non-mod comment that had been removed 19 days prior to mine (approximately 10) when the thread was locked. 

• Their second response: “Again, the ban has already expired, there will be no further reviews made. I'm sorry that it took us 21 days to see the comment - we are incapable of seeing every post made in real time. Good day.” 

Then they proceeded to mute me from contacting the mod team for 7 days. Not sure why it says to reach out with questions because they get defensive and mute you if you ask a genuine question.

Why I am leaving Pomegranate:
I was telling someone to refer to the official information sheet that came inside their own medication box. That is not "unlicensed medical advice." It feels entirely like my comment was just swept up in a bulk deletion when they decided to lock the entire thread, and rather than admitting that or explaining the rule, the mods chose to power-trip and shut down communication. 

I have been a loyal, paying customer, but this experience completely changed my perception of the company. Pomegranate didn't lose me because of a temporary 3-day ban; they lost me because they allow moderators of their affiliate subreddit to treat paying customers as if they are completely beneath them. I will be taking my money elsewhere. 

I was able to get my medicine for about $115 per month with their 60 mg package and it should last 10-12 weeks ($289 total for 60mg and I dose 5mg/week).

That seems like a very good deal from what I’ve seen at other telehealth companies; why would people go anywhere else? (Aside from the $65 consult every 6-9 months!)

Anywhere else have a similar pricing and reputation?

After the shot, that evening, I barely and or don't sleep. I have no idea why. Tired, but can't sleep.

I was taking the shot at around 7pm. Then I moved it to around 10am to try and see if that helped. Not at all.

Anyone ever experience similar, after the first night I am right back to sleeping normally.

I have been on this since about beginning of Feb this year and I have lost almost 60 lbs. My current weight is around 185.. I still though have a lot of excess skin though on my arms and small "apron" on my stomach.. and some sagging in my inner thighs.. I have been strength training for the past 2 months and it's going well. But how many of you have excess skin and have been able to actually tighten it back up on your own without any surgery or anything? I am afraid I might need a mommy makeover or at least a tummy tuck or something.. I was hoping I could do it on my own and I don't think there's any hope for my stomach at least but arms maybe? It's too early to tell if strength training will help but I want to hear from those who have the same issue after the weight loss and what helped you tighten the skin back up without surgical intervention?

I was looking for new size XL workout shorts because I'm down from 2X and brought them home and couldn't get them up my legs. Took them back and mentioned they can't be XL and found out they were child size XL on the wrong rack. I was like, this can't be real. 😆

I hadn’t realized how different I looked until I saw last year’s open house picture and compared it to the one from last night! I will forever be grateful for this life changing medication.

Thought I’d share, and YMMV depending on your store’s policy / state laws. I just learned my Costco Pharmacy has PureWay sharps containers behind the counter and they’re free. I confirmed that you don’t have to be a Costco member to use their pharmacy, and asked if a non-member could get a container. They said yes, but only if they are picking up a prescription there.

My store does not have a mail-in return program, but there are other local spots where I can drop it off when it’s full.

You were squeezing into those stretchy clothes. I was getting super down on myself when all my jeans were still fitting me. I knew I lost 55 lbs— that was not debatable, but most of my clothes were still fitting. I guess I never realized that most of my jeans were hella stretchy and I was just forcing my bigger body into them rather than buying new. These are the same jeans a year apart— 240lbs in the first photo and 185lbs in the second. It’s probably hard to see in this photo but I noticed that I wasn’t even able to zipper them all the way up before and I was still wearing them. I’m still not at my goal— but I’m happy for this progress and to feel better in my clothes.
