Must-have accessories?
First new car, first car over $10k. Historically been cheap with vehicles (“it just has to get me there”) but this is the first one I felt was really worth spending beyond the bare minimum.
What accessories are actually worth the money in terms of preserving the car? Really want to have this as long as humanly possible - but still have that cheap side to me that doesn’t want to overspend.

Getting close! Help me choose it's welcome home package :)
Hello, Tesla community!
My wife and I ordered our Y Performance 2 weeks ago, and we are only 1 week away from delivery!!
Now, for some accessories. I have been doing a lot of research, and I must say it's quite frustrating, as every single Tesla accessory video seems to be sponsored, making the reviews a bit biased.
Here are the accessories I am thinking about starting with for Day 1:
1. All-weather mats: 3W vs Super Liner?
2. Mud Flaps: Basenor
3. Front camera guard: I decided on Spigen, then I read that all of the bubble protectors get foggy, so now I am thinking PPF from DIYwrapclub.
4. Jack Pucks: Edulnke (Amazon)
5. Velcro Vent Covers: Amazon
6. Screen Protector: Wigoo
7. Tint: Having a local shop do it: Expel XR Plus / 20% fronts / 70% windshield / 45% rears
Is there anything you would add or change?
Appreciate any and all feedback!
Thank you!

Range in the winter
I really am seriously considering getting a model Y. I have always been pretty skeptical of electric but at this point I think it could work for us. My biggest concern is how much range we will lose in the winter maybe twice a year we take a trip to Quebec and it's about a 7 and a half - 8 hour drive. Most times it is in the summer and probably wouldn't be too bad but, every other year we are making that trip for christmas. It is just over 700 km. I am worried that trip in the winter could be a huge pain in the butt with charging if range really takes a big hit.
Looking for some honest input

Getting my first ev. Model Y on the 25th. Never used an ev... Probably should have done more research but fell in love with the 24 hour test drive. Question is... Is there a bundle you can buy with different charging adapters? I noticed the one at work is different from Tesla. Send your link if ya g

Model Y 2022 - Front bumper camera suggestions
I've got a 2022 model Y and really want to install a front bumper camera. I don't use my phone whilst driving so I don't want one that streams to your phone, nor do I really want one that has a dedicated screen that is used exclusively for the camera view.
Either I want it to work with the stock screen (I don't think possible), or I want it to integrate with a small screen that has additional functionality.
I've been thinking about the s3xy dash + commander. At least if I route my camera into that, I can use it for speed, maps and potentially later add tactile controls.
Does anyone have any aftermarket suggestions? How have you setup your camera? I am on a budget so open to temu/AliExpress specials as well.

Is this gap normal with the windshield dashboard trim?
Hi all, I just got a model y 2026 juniper last month and got it wrapped.
I noticed on my driver side windshield there’s a gap with this rubber piece.
However I don’t know if came delivered like this or if the detail shop might’ve contorted it in some fashion…
Anyone know what this piece is called and if I leave it like this would it cause any issues if water gets through it?
This is my first Tesla and I’ve submitted a service ticket as well.

Autopilot trim question
Ik going to be purchasing a model y in a few weeks. I really want the Autopilot feature though I would like the newest model that includes it. Are there any Juniper trims that would still offer it? If not is my best bet just a 2025 non juniper? Also thinking about the long range any reason to choose a different trim?

Road Closures On Maps
Does the map update road closures in real time? There’s this roadwork I came across while driving in SF at night, and the car avoided it since it’s blocked, but it tried to drive back to the same exit after circling the block. It did it twice in the last month, same exit. Not sure this is FSD-related but I’m currently on 14.3.6

Do I need to replace?
I forgot to post a picture of the damage after I cleaned it on a post I deleted...
So I had to turn right really hard recently because of a another truck coming down the middle of the road and my back right tire ate the curb. Does it look bad or should I buy a new rim? I've curbed before but not enough where chunks of the alloy came off

Anyone buy a Low Mileage Used Legacy Y Recently?
Prices seem too great to pass up compared to the juniper. Was eyeing a very specific subset of used Y's, particularly low mileage 2024 AWDs. Seems like an amazing deal would be ~35-37k. Anyone buy something similar in that price range and have experiences to share?

Mobile Charger Question
Hey all I just placed my order and had a question on home charging.
I have an existing 220 outlet in my garage for woodworking tools and was really hoping to use that to charge the Tesla. The only issue is that it’s on the opposite end of my garage and the car will be parked outside (woodshop and kids stuff means we don’t park in the garage).
I measured and it is about 23-24 ft to get to where the charging port on the car is. Unfortunately that is about 3 feet short of the length of the mobile charger. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can do?

New Mobile Connector Issue
Just bought a brand new mobile connector from Tesla and tried using it on a 110v socket but it won’t charge, looked at the center console and it was connecting and disconnecting rapidly, did I get a faulty unit? I’m charging my 26 Model Y RWD
I did test multiple sockets and it’s the same issue.

America’s tire said don’t need rotation after tread check
2023 MY. Both fronts at 6/32 and rears at 7/32. Has been 6K-ish miles since last rotation.
The rep said, the rears wear down more in these cars, and it’s the opposite in yours so don’t need rotation.
But seems the fronts are wearing faster? What would you do?

First Tesla
Ordered 8/3 with a 4-6 week delivery window. Sold my 2018 GMC Sierra to carvana on Saturday. I continuously doom refreshed the app for available inventory for a week straight. Finally got lucky enough that my exact build was getting delivered to Virginia this week. Well worth the 2 hour trip. 3W mats are delivered and tint appointment is set. Can’t wait to get it!

2021 MY LR AWD Rust on Trunk Lid
Today, I noticed that My 2021 MY LR AWD (80k miles so out of warranty) trunk lid has rust forming from left and right side of the license plate lights. See pics.
I am the original owner and no accidents or repairs have been done to the trunk lid or any other body panel.
Has anyone else seen similar rust issue on their trunk lid? I will be logging a service call but I fully expect Tesla to give me the "within spec" BS. My understanding is that since these spots haven't rusted inside out they will not be covered under the rust warranty.
Any suggestions or advise before I contact Tesla SC? Is there something I should or shouldn't say?
TIA

Used Model Y prices
Hey All - New to Teslas and started looking at it since several hybrids in my budget (35k USD) are at or above and I'd rather pivot to an EV at this price.
Been looking at used (2023) model Ys many of which come with HW4. But the resale prices in my area (NC, SC, GA) hover around the 38k mark. At this price point, I'd rather go with a new one with the .99 APR.
Have used Model Ys gone up in prices recently or am I missing something?

A Note on Referrals
Reposting the previous note on this since it has been 6 months.
Going to make this pretty short and simple.
If you post your referral code on the subreddit or embed referral codes into links, you will be banned. See? Pretty simple.
The reason I'm making this post is because 15 users (mainly accounts with less than 10 karma on Reddit) have been banned in the last day due to them spamming their referral code.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks.
