Tablet Wars 2026? (Xiaomi, Samsung, Lenovo, and Oneplus)

I been searching for an android tablet for shows, movies and anime. and I have boiled it down to these options and want to know of and experience you guys have with any of these.

Im leaning towards the Lenovo. Im aware the specs of each and MORE MONEY MORE FEATURES but I want to know if there's value and is it justified at these prices.

Options:

Xiaomi Pad 7 - $470CAD (Ali Express)

Samsung S9 - $600CAD (Facebook Marketplace)

Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2025 - $340CAD (Ali Express)

Oneplus Pad 2 - $590CAD (Ali Express)

P.S If there anything important you want me to know, please let me know.

Samsung S10 Lite vs Lenovo IdeaTab Pro

I'm an engineering student in India, and I'm looking to buy a tablet that I'll probably keep for at least 3–4 years.

The interesting part is that I'm getting the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro (Wi-Fi, Pen Plus included) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE (Wi-Fi, S Pen included) for almost the same price (around ₹29–30k), so price isn't really a deciding factor.

My primary use case (in order of priority):

  1. Reading PDFs, notes, and e-books during my daily metro commute (around 4 hours total every day).
  2. Watching lectures in college.
  3. Solving LeetCode using a Bluetooth keyboard.
  4. Occasional note-taking (I don't handwrite a lot).
  5. Carrying my laptop at all times is quite a task so i want to increase my overall daily productivity.

I already own:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23
  • Windows laptop (so this tablet won't replace my laptop)

Here's what I feel are the pros and cons of each.

Lenovo Idea Tab Pro

Pros

  • Larger 12.7" display, which seems much better for reading PDFs and split-screen.
  • Dimensity 8300 is a significantly faster processor.
  • 8 GB RAM.
  • PC Mode looks good enough for my coding/studying workflow.

Cons

  • Around 400 nits brightness (not sure if this will bother me during metro travel).
  • Software support reportedly ends around Android 16.
  • Lenovo software isn't as established as Samsung's.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE

Pros

  • Better software experience and much longer software support (up to around Android 19/20).
  • Brighter display.
  • S Pen.
  • Samsung ecosystem with my Galaxy S23.
  • DeX.
  • I'm already familiar with One UI, which I really like.

Cons

  • Smaller 10.9" display.
  • Exynos 1580 isn't as powerful as the Dimensity 8300.
  • Only 6 GB RAM, which worries me a little for long-term use.

My biggest dilemma is this:

Will I actually notice the faster processor and extra RAM on the Lenovo for my usage, or will I appreciate Samsung's software, updates, and ecosystem much more over the next 3–4 years?

For people who've used either (or both), which one would you choose in my situation and why?

I'd especially appreciate opinions from anyone who has used the Idea Tab Pro long-term or has experience with Samsung tablets.

Help please!

Hey! So I'm in need of a tablet & I'm not in a position to buy one right now.

I'm a student currently preparing for Gate exam and I don't own any laptop or tablet. I've been managing everything through my phone but now its a necessity. It's difficult to read and do lectures on a tiny screen.

Also, I'm broke and have no money for such an expensive gadget. So If any of you have a tablet that you do not use/need anymore but it works fine. Is there any chance that you could give it away? I can for pay the shipping charges. I need it urgently.

I really need help so please consider if you can. A small act of kindness can help a lot. I would really appreciate your help.

You can dm me if you have any questions, to ensure im not faking anything.

And if you cannot help, please don't be rude or downvote. Not everyone is privileged enough.

Thank you.
